Wonderful location with spectacular mountains. Excellent host, very friendly and flexible.
The hosteria is not very luxurous and could use some refurbishment.

Friendly staff. Good food. Fantastic location. Great views. Comfortable beds. It's no frills, but it's clean and friendly.
Hot shower did not always work.

Friendly host, amazing location deep in the canyon on walking distance from hikes.
Nice breakfast. Older place but worth the money considering most places in the area are a lot more expensive then here.
Showers were older, beds were a little bit harder but not such a big deal.

Fantastic location in the middle of Andes! Close to many hiking paths and beautfiul views. Exeptionally caring hosts who make sure the stay is as nice as possible.

Eduardo, the manager, was fantastic. We were their first guests of winter after a two week storm and Eduardo went out of his way to welcome us and be flexible with providing extra comforts. The location was excellent allowing us to ski tour daily from the front door.
Cold but was the time of year and the only power source in Banos Morales is solar. It would benefit guests to have a small space heater in each room.

The owner of this hostel (Eduardo, I believe) is one of the best hosts I've ever had (and I've travelled a lot). He personally cooks breakfast for you (I had eggs with ham and cheese) and he is great at it. He also has lunch and dinner options available (I had hot sandwiches) for very cheap (around $3 USD), and they are also very good. He was also so accommodating. He gave us information on how to get back to Santiago (Uber doesn't reach Baños Morales), he gave us access to the Wifi (which was free), towels for showers and the hot springs (which I don't think he is supposed to do because of Covid), and boots to borrow for hiking (pro tip: boots are required to hike in Cajon de Maipo in the winter). And he wasn't going to accept any payment for any of these things until I forced a tip onto him! Overall, this is a great hostel.
Just a few minor things that are a consequence of the hostel running off of solar power (which, in my opinion, is worth the inconveniences): there are no outlets in the rooms (so you have to charge your phone in the living area), and the lights in the rooms are kind of dim. That's it.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Baños Morales. The hosts are both very attentive, caring and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty, we could even choose when to have it served. The hostel is a cosy mountain hut, which serves perfectly when you come for trekking and look for a warm shelter for the night. Hope to come again.

Host was very accommodating after originally dealing with a family emergency. We arrived to find the place shut but he arrived wihhin an hour and prepared us some tasty food.
The accommodation is basic but adequate for hikes in the area. There's a couple restaurants and a small shop nearby.
Shower was hot but turned cold pretty quickly

My husband and I were at the Hosteria Banos Morales having a most wonderful time, specially with the hosting by Marisol and Eduardo, owners of the place, whom they were bringing a very special assistance in everything we were in need. Breakfast was excellent and the meals they offered us they were even better.

Breakfast was fine. Hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. They gave me trekking poles and found a car to drop me off at the beginning of my route.
There was only cold water in the shower.

Perfect base for wonderful hiking tours e.g. El morado park just across the hostel or laguna morado the next valley. The rooms are very clean and the beds comfy. The hosts are very kind, a tasty breakfast is served and the restaurant conjures delicios dinners.
The shared showers / restrooms and no towels are a minus
We had some trouble finding the right adress since the coordinates at booking are 8km off
Google maps knows it right - banos morales main square to park the car and than down to the termas
