Cosy place in Santa Maria

The place is very cosy, well located and the owner was very accommodating with a late check out due to a delayed flight.

The taxi service from the airport that they advise you to take is more expensive than the government one which is 1500$.

Nice place near the main street

owner availability we need a taxi and she arranged the balcony at the top is very nice friendliness of the owner

Room a little hot and we can open the window. However, the fan did the trick.

Good, would come again: enjoyed beds, wifi, kitchen, excellent hospitality/communication from host.

I would strongly recommend this place to my friends. The beds sleep well--I even checked the IKEA pillow and mattress labels because I slept so good. The interior design looks modern organic/beach house. GOOD WIFI. A cleaning lady is present during work hours. The location is great, near the main street. No noise complaints. Fresh room. Some musquitos are inevitable. Outstanding hospitality fromt the host: she offered excellent taxi recommendations, fast replies, predicted possible obstacles and offered solutions, very nice. Access to kitchen facilities was handy for our breakfast/lunch. We enjoyed the picknick table on the balcony. Host allowed us to relax at the balcony and use the wifi after check-out hours, as we waited for our next ride to arrive.

Though the toilet/sink was fine, the en-suite shower didn't work well. It only gave a few droplets. The host said this was due to the low local water pressure (which the host could not do anything about). My travel partner and I arrived at night. We would've liked to have been able to shower immediately at night. If the 'shower malfunctioning due water pressure'-problem is common, we would've liked to be alerted about this in advance. We put our sweaty bodies in a clean bed. The next morning the host told us we could use the upstairs shared bathroom shower. (I wonder why she didn't she tell us in advance the bathroom is available upstairs? I could've showered at night?) Showering upstairs in the mornings went fine. We renegotiated something with the host and were satisfied afterwards.

Great quality & location for the value and a lovely communicative host.

The apartment in the first floor we got was very well and pleasantly equiped. We were most grateful for the flexibility of the host to let us stay longer before our flight departure.

Very good

Nice spacious room, cozy common area with equipped kitchen (cooker, oven, microwave). After check out, I could keep the key to leave my luggage in a cupboard under the stairs and pick up my bag later and leave the key inside. Communication with the owner through WhatsApp was good and fluent. Good wifi.

The room with bathroom had no pressure on the water (no water at all) so I had to use the common bathroom, which had good pressure and good hot water. Noisy outside during the night and the closed windows didn't really keep out the noise. Best to bring earplugs. I didn't have them. :(

In the middle of it all!

You can't beat this location in Santa Maria! It's close to everything! Very clean and colourful place! A special 'Thank you' goes out to Katiana, who was very supportive and helped us a lot with great recommendations! P.S. The terrace is a nice spot to relax and hang around.

Well positioned in Santa Maria. Simple clean decor. Easy check in.

The room I had was ground floor and no real view from the window but it was ok for a one night stay. Unfortunately the room smelled a bit of cigarettes

Cozy small room near everything

Casa Blu was probably one of the place with best value-for-money we stayed at during our 3 weeks long trip to Cabo Verde. For a beach and sand location, we were quite impressed with the cleanliness every day. We probably wouldn't stay there for a long stay but it was really exceeding our expectations for a 3 nights stay.

We had a very short moment without water (half day) but they were fixing things in the neighbourhood so what can you do ? Katiana was really responsive to this issue and in general

I loved it and i will come back!

- Great location (Near many different beaches, good restaurants and cafes, commerce, supermarkets) (Only 5/10 minutes walking to the pier) - Great price - Very friendly staff (Katiana is a very lovely person and she will help you with everything you need) (She can also give you great tips from a local point of view) - Great freedom (You have the keys of the apartment and house and you go in and out as you wish)

- It can be a little bit noisy at night - Sometimes the internet goes out (but it does work fine 95% of the time) - The shower could have low pressure sometimes, but it's enough to take a good bath

fabulous and communicative host, okay location

Not sure if this is an island or property issue but apparently water pressure comes and goes as it pleases, in 2 days we were not able to have shower once or even brush teeth, no point of having bathroom at all. when we got there it seemed allright but water tank was dripping and in less than a day entire place smelled like mold. we were on ground floor and street noise was quite bad at night as window doesn’t close although it was on quiet street. finishings are not done, I got splinter by accidentally touching the wall :/

Modern place in heart of Santa Maria

Our room was nice and cozy with a separate bathroom. The kitchen had basic tools to cook a meal and the terrace was also nice. The wifi worked good in our room too. Katiana was very nice and welcoming, answering all the questions and allowing us to keep our luggage at the building until our evening flight.

There was little to no pressure in our shower, so most of the time we went to use the shared one upstairs.

Great location, beautiful rooms, great value - a feel-good place

Really lovely place to stay Big double room with en-suite - very nicely decorated and contemporary Great kitchen facilities to cook the delicious fresh fish you can buy on the pier The cleaner who comes regularly is incredibly thorough - Great location - 5 min walk to beach, 1 minute to Main Street and 10 mins to the pier

The room was nice, it has everything that we needed for our stay. The kitchen fully equipped and the bathroom with towels, shower gel and shampoo. We had also a fan in the room. The location was in the centre of Sal; close to restaurants and supermarket. The beach was only 5 minutes walk.

Exceptional

I loved staying in Casa Blu! I was first in one of the double rooms for four nights and then in the Studio for one night - and they were both great rooms: very clean, confortable beds and with a homey feeling to them. Katiana is lovely, she was always there to help with everything. Thank you :)

A beautiful accommodation in Santa Maria

The property is in a great location. it’s very clean and beautifully decorated. Having a kitchenette was great so we could make a hot drink and make a snack. The communication with the host was fantastic.

Nice place in the centre of Santa Maria.

Very good location, in the centre of Santa Maria, if you book the studio you get your private bathroom and a kitchenette, wi-fi is not very good but it works ok. The communication with the host was very smooth.

Since the room is situated on the main street, it is quite noisy especially because of the cars passing by.
