I like how eclectic the hotel is. It's in a great location and has friendly staff and, an excellent breakfast.
Unfortunately, many young people like to hang out outside the hotel until the wee hours of the morning. The showers were very small.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The staff was helpful, friendly, and accommodating to my friend who was became ill from fatigue at the time. Breakfast was excellent.
No elevators, BUT the staff gladly helped us carrying our luggage to our room.

Loved the beautiful historic building, the location and views, and the delicious breakfast
It was all great, the only small critique would be that it took a little while for the hot water in the showers to kick in, but once it was running it was a great temperature and it was lovely to have access to a bath as well as a shower to relax after a day of exploring

Incredible historical building at incredible location!

Location, staff, and ambiance were all exceptional. Included breakfast was best of our trip. The port view from our room and small balcony was spectacular. Appreciated that coffee and hot water was available during the day. Took a little getting used to, but the locked front door and handing over our room key each time we went out gave us a good sense of security.
Bathroom/shower was quite petite.

My favorite hotel on my Chile trip. Classic interior architecture accentuated my experience with its high ceilings, wood herringbone floors, and tall doors plus vented transoms. Solid wood staircase should knock you socks off! Festive rooftop bar with view added evening pleasure. Strong security at entrance. Very friendly and helpful staff.
This property looks like its coming out of pandemic restrictions; perhaps you can say it's seen better times. But you get such a sense of appreciation for what it is and also striving to become. It so beats new, modern buildings with cookie-cutter rooms and amenities. They just don't make them like this anymore!

located on Conception hill this hotel has awesome views, amazing ambiance and great staff. hotel is over 100 years old and has lots of character. Paola the owner is a wonderful host and made sure New Year’s Eve was very memorable!!

Excellent location, couldn’t be better, and the views are fantastic. The house is very pretty and cozy — high ceilings, wooden windows, chandeliers, sweet retro wallpapers. The staff is super friendly, breakfasts are great. Overall a very pleasing, easy and relaxing stay, would totally do it again.

The location is perfect and the view is incredible. The staff was very helpful and available at all hours. Although they didn't speak perfect english they tried their best and we could make it work. Breakfast was tasty and beautifully served in a wonderful little dining room.
Our bathroom was VERY small. The shower was so tight you could barely turn around. Everything worked well and was clean, but it was a tight squeeze.

- The establishment is a bit old but very well located.
- The view from the hotel and from the terrace of the hotel is beautiful.
- Charm of the old houses of Valparaiso.
- Ideal to visit the historical district, Cerro Alegre.
- Many options of restaurants around the hotel.
- Very pleasant and copious breakfast.
- Terrace with a beautiful view.
- Rooms very small and old.
- We were on the ground floor, very noisy with the terrace and the room for the breakfast very close.
- Bed not very comfortable
- Price of the consumptions too expensive at the bar on the terrace
- Reception not exceptional, not much information, it is us who had to ask for the information for the wifi and the breakfast, that should have been communicated to us at our arrival

Staff was out of their way helpfully, and very friendly. Hotel was charming, classis, clean, very comfortable, Location was in a great area, good food, scenic overlook, shopping exploring, safe... look forward to coming back.

The Location was second to none. Beautiful building inside and out. Amazing views, and wonderfully helpful staff (although there can be something of a language barrier if, like me, your Spanish is limited).

location was great. staff very helpful. the hotel is historic and atmospheric. I loved this place. old world charm; hard wood floors, antiques. views!!!
not bad but could have used a bit more attention to detail in the cleaning

Breakfast was great, bed was excellent, view as well. Quaint in general.
We did not have hot water when we arrived, it wasn't very hot the next day either. In the room we were in (room 10) the bathroom window opened right on to the walkway outside. The windows were glazed, but there was no way to make sure that people could not see in once it was dark, so we had to leave the bathroom door open. A curtain would be a good ides there, like there was in the sitting room.

The room was beautiful and the view lovely. Most of the staff was very nice. Breakfast was good. The location is wonderful in terms of accessibility.
One waiter was rather bad-tempered. He took our lunch order--and disappeared! After almost an hour and after our complaint another staff person brought the food. One day the cleaners forgot to take out the bathroom garbage or bring more shampoo. The bed was lumpy and should be updated.
One problem was that a group of young people outside (Pasep Gervasoni) decided to shout and sing until 3AM one night. This isn't the fault of the hotel but it is a disincentive to return.

Great central location on hill with many attractions, bars and restaurants. Good breakfast with fantastic view. Nice rooms. Friendly helpful staff.
