I booked a room while walking on the transpyrenean footpath GR11. On a very hot Saturday two of the refuges I had expected to stay at were packed, so I continued walking. Several hours later and no clean water to resupply from I was about done in.
I arrived just as the restaurant closed at 8.30pm but the owner offered me the option of sitting down straight away for a meal.
Staff were fabulous. The food was wonderful as was the wine. I could not have asked for more, I loved my stay, not because I was done in, although I was, but because it was excellent. Highly recommended!
The translation of the shower instructions made the owner and I laugh 😃 - wouldn't change it though

A super location on the main road and very close to the station for the "Yellow Train". Excellent free parking and an excellent evening meal with a good breakfast too! An Ideal stop when you are passing by and need to take a rest!
No drink facilities in the room for making yourself a tea and/or coffee - a hot drink. But overall, all was great!

Hot coffee and cold meat and cheese with fresh squeezed OJ and homemade jams and yogurt. Dress warmly and you will be fine. Energy costs in Europe have skyrocketed with hotels unable to recover the cost. The menu had a wide variety of delicious options and a comprehensive Catalan wine cellar. The town has about 480 people and is 1.5 miles from the train station with Sr. Coch taxi service available. Sr. Serrat and Señora Isabel have made this inn a culinary destination.

We had a comfortable room with a view to the mountains and Val de Cerdanya. The host, Jordi, was most accommodating and interesting to talk to and he provided us with a lovely breakfast - best homemade yogurt, Jordi! Thank you

The place was beautiful antiquing with a lot of history. worth walk-in 1 km from the train station
The gentleman at the Inn was so kind. let me borrow his USB switch overnight because I had lost mine. Had his staff provide me with an early sandwich and chocolate, before my very early journey. They have a wonderful dining menu.

Our host was very accommodating and understanding, especially with dietary needs (vegetarian-vegan). Our room was clean, comfortable and had an incredible view. We had a fantastic breakfast spread including homemade cake and yoghurt. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant. We would really enjoy returning to L'Auberge Catalane on a future trip! Thank you

The room was very nice and was a lot bigger than I expected. Breakfast was really tasty and it was homemade so that was nice. But the best part of this place is the owner, such a kind man. He really made this place better than that it already was!

Excellent host, very attentive and interesting to speak with. Lovely building with log burning stove in the lounge. I arrived having made no plans for eating and was able to join another two guests for evening meal at short notice.
There was no non-breakfast option and breakfast is served too late to catch Le Petit Train Jaune. A packed breakfast was kindly provided but this was probably not as good as the real thing!
Minor point: In my (cheaper) room there was no welcome tray which the hotel description says is provided in all rooms. I was not expecting a kettle so a welcome tray would not have been useful anyway!

Everything was great! The location, the host, the breakfast. The host was very friendly and helpful all the time. Had a lovely sleep. Breakfast was very tasty with homemade jam, cakes, yogurts and really tasty croissants. Sad we could only stay one night. Will definitely stay there again.
