This resort was very relaxing. We enjoyed spending lazy days next to the pool or even at the beach - the resort has a small private beach with cabanas that are perfect for reading. The room had a balcony where we could watch the gorgeous sunsets (although it was so hot that we didn't use it much). Staff was very friendly and helpful!
The breakfast was very Chinese style, which we are used to, but we were hoping there would be a bit more option in terms of Western breakfast cuisine. Also, the hotel didn't have a bar or much choice when it comes to coffee, we were hoping that we could sit by the pool and sip some cocktails. It was more of a family resort.

Friendly check in people, nice open plan entrance leading to the pool which looks nice but I did not try, -reminded me of Malaysia.
At 9pm there was no restaurant or bar, just a little shop that just sold a few drinks, so I went out as I was starving due to Covid -no food on the airplane or at Hongqiao airport. Breakfast was not very good, they ran out of most stuff and did not bother to fill up juice or anything. They didn't have air conditioning so after 5 minutes you are dripping wet, I couldn't wait to get out of there.

- location
- big room
- the private beach
We stayed here in July 22, the private beach was accessible however none of the four cabanas were really functioning. So we moved to the nervy private beach (belonging to a different hotel) and stayed there. This is probably due to the fact that July is not high season here, never the less I would expect those facilities to be up and running 365 days a yea
r since it is the main feature of the hotel.

Nice, quiet, clean place for good rest but still close enough to the Centre, popular beach. They are ready for foreign guests with translation app. The hotel staff are hospitable and helpful.
For me was strange for hotel of this range to offer plastic slippers for bathroom (I don’t know how many guests used it before me) instead of to has for one use only

I didn't have breakfast, but it is supposedly very good, although pricey. The hotel has a small convenience store, where it is possible to buy snacks and drinks, including imported wine and local beer.
Everything is very nice and the staff is very friendly and efficient. However in my three stays there, I encountered only one English speaking staff. This is not a big problem, since all staff communicate efficiently with a translator app on the phone.

Nice short walk to the private beach which is very nice. The room was tip top.

The territory is huge suitable for walks. The room is really spacious and comfy. The swimming pool is very nice. The breakfast is not great but quite decent. The beach is beautiful and not crowded.
We supposed to have a sea view, but it was just partial, I don’t think the room should be indicated as having it.

Xiao Chen helped me a lot as not all staff spoke English, so that was good. They gave me a lot of privacy to do my teaching online and it was pleasant and quiet enough to do so. Though it wasn't exactly central to town, was always easy to Didi my way around. Really large, comfy room.
Pool was possibly a little shallow, that would be my only criticism, I'm a big guy and it barely made it to my chest.

The hotel is a good deal with a reasonable price, a nice fan garden, clean rooms and good breakfast.
If you expect the hotel being located nearby a nice beach you will be disappointed. The beach next to the hotel is dirty and undeveloped.

All the people stay at star rated hotels, so this old guesthouse, which I first visited in 1989 with my 10month old son, was real great discovery after so many years: (off season :) private beach, private pool, private bodyguards... I strongly recommend for seeking a peaceful place in otherwise very crowded Sanya. Pls don’t be afraid about the “state guesthouse” labelling !
Perfect for me seeking a quiet place
