great location, great building unfortunately poorly maintained. a green wall inside the patio has dried up and looks unclean. we could not get hot water for days and we’re only able to get it once we really upset.

Too noisy in the morning with the Chai Cafe (house music at 8:30am loud and dishes being thrown into the kitchen)

Good location, nice rooms, and good food in the restaurant.
This is really a restaurant with a hotel attached; the former is clearly the priority of the reception and staff.

The design
The "Concept" being a noisy cafeteria with rooms upstairs. We booked the Tamayo Master Suite for 3 nights which was smelly, extremely noisy (outside traffic and inside café), with crappy water pressure and clueless, yet friendly, staff.
Room service? No way to contact them by phone or charge the order to the room.
A guest may need an umbrella when it rains? Tough luck.
Need to downgrade your suite to a smaller but calmer one? Sure, the next day and they would still charge you the lousy Master suite the night you could barely sleep in it.
To be fair, the staff seemed well intended, they just seemed to be much better at running a cafeteria than a supposedly 5-star boutique hotel, according to Booking (4-star according to Google, 3-star with nicely decorated rooms if you ask me).

The rooms were very nice and creative with an artistic flair. That was great. The building is very nice. The food is mediocre.
The noise was terrible. The street noise, there is a lot of movement in the restaurante below. At night with all the the people talking and the traffic, and in the morning with the staff moving tables and arraigning everything for the breakfast buffet. Also there is no air conditioning so we had our windows open for a little breeze to come in and that did not help the noise issue.

The hotel is very close to the downtown nice decorations
Missing supplies in the rooms like toilet paper and towels, the floor wasn’t mop the second day

Nothing
Putting concept on a sign does not make it a concept hotel!
5.4 / 10.0
Cool property and decoration. Location good
rooms run down and really lacking in facilities- no fridge, limited toiletries, only 2 pillows for king size bed. Focus is on cafe downstairs for public not staying guests. Check in staff made no effort to give advice on area and shrugged when I asked
