Super relax

Best is the proximity to the beach. As you leave the premises you are already at the beach. Great pool for adults and kids. Good cleaning and very nice staff. 2nd time and will return next year.

The apartments are nice and functional but could definitely improve with a facelift and a dish washing machine. Every time there was a parking space, but I feel that if we go out we will not find an available space .

A beachfront family hotel that lacks luxury

The room I was assigned had a sea view, as advertised.

Parking was restricted to the street in front of the hotel, not nearly enough. I asked about a parking garage and was offered a space for 30 Euros per day. I had requested a high floor but was assigned a first-floor room overlooking the swimming pool and just above the bar. Very noisy day and night. The hotel is adjacent to a nice beach but chairs and an umbrella is another 15 Euros. I expected a parking spot for my rental car and beach accommodations but received neither.

amazing value for money in a wonderful location

Adjacent to a glorious beach and associated bars & restaurants

sometimes the reception team were discussing work related things and we were left waiting for a considerable amount of time.

Spacious apartment with wonderful view of the beach

superb location and great facilities. The view of the beach from the apartment is constantly uplifting. The kitchen is well fitted out and the balcony is a joy.

The room safe has a daily charge which seemed unusual. The bathroom is a little tired. Not all the switches and lights worked

Superb

Close to the sea. Great rooms the kitchen is a real bonus. Good food. Really helpful and friendly staff.

More coat hangers needed and hooks on the bedroom and bathroom doors for coats and things. Tea towel in the kutchen

Relaxed summer week

The apartment was really nice, with ocean view as we ordered. Very clean and spacious. Had all the kitchen basics for a vacation week. The cleaning crew was great, efficient and nice. They came every day to tidy up the and change the towels. The location of this hotel couldn’t be better (2-3 min walking to the beach). It has a direct access to the beach with a dedicated gate for the hotel guests. The hotel itself is very close to the center so is a walking distance for some shopping and restaurants.

The parking. The garage and the area around the hotel have absolutely no capacity for the amount for cars in summer high season vacations. Is not a question of paying. We didn’t mind paying for a secure parking, but there was no free spaces available. Therefore maybe this can be an area to invest in some improvements.

The wi-fi was OK for email and browsing but no good for streaming video. Insufficient bandwidth.

great stay but slightly spoiled with no facilities on the last day following checkout.

we have stayed in the Dunamar many times previous, the location and cleanliness of the hotel are outstanding.

disappointed this year that no facilities offered to change prior to departing the hotel. previously you could change/shower at the leisure club but that was closed and no alternative offers. poor given that you are out of your room by 1100.

Just great!

Great place with great and friendly staff! We stayed at Dunamar at the beginning of June as we needed some sunshine and some relax / family time and also because it was our daughter's 15th birthday. We had a great time, accommodation was superb, food and service were delicious and reasonably priced, and they also organised a birthday cake to celebrate...great surprise! All in all 10 out of 10...we will definitely return. Sea view was fantastic! Thank you Dunamar Team!!!

Spot on location!

Perfect location! Spacious apartment, clean and kitchen well equipped. We had full board and had a variety of food, salads and deserts to choose from at every meal.

As mentioned before we had full board, unfortunately they even charge for "filtered" tap water that comes in a fancy bottle 2.5 euros for 7,5dl (approx 2.5 pints). Even when we asked for normal tap water it was denied. For the price charged for the full board it should at least include water... The only other thing is that free parking is limited to about 20/30 cars (the building has about 240 apartments) if you want to make sure you car is safe, either book a slot in the private garage (13 euros/day) or keep trying and trying to get a free spot... Otherwise good luck trying to find free parking around the town...

Relax and comfortable stay on the beach of Monte Gordo

We had a spacious apartment with sea view. The hotel has a splendid location next to the beach and next to the pinewood. The athmosphere in the hotel is very friendly and relaxed. The hotel paid extra attention to hygiene as a measure against the spread of corona. The region is very attractive (Vila Real, Castro Marim, Tavira, Rio Formosa). Sunny weather and mild temperatures come as the best imaginable bonus !

Some facilities inside the apartments need to be updated or renovated. But that didn't affect the quality of our stay.
