About this apartment rental
Only 80 metres from the sea and promenade, you can relax and feel at home in our quirky but stylish, recently modernised 3 bedroom listed apartment. We have tried to create a modern feeling in a traditional property - quite simply we love doing up old properties and creating a 'home from home' experience for our guests. The first floor accommodation is on two floors with bright, spacious open plan kitchen/dining /living room area and single cosy bedroom situated on the first floor. Living space/dining area provides adequate seating and the luxury of a SMART TV with Bluray/DVD player. Free wifi is also provided. Our lovingly and painstakingly restored staircase leads up to a bright, stylish twin bedroom with wall mounted TV/DVD player as well as a further attractive double bedroom with luxury bedding, tasteful decor and SMART TV. Please note we have the luxury of an actual three bedroom space so there is no need to make up sofa beds each day as the living room is an entirely separate space. Our recently modernised bathroom offering our guests the use of complimentary products is also located on the upper floor.
No car is necessary, as soon as you walk out the front door, everything is on your doorstep – lovely local little shops in which to browse in, cafes, restaurants, banks, small supermarkets, everything you could wish for. Have a gentle stroll via the scenic route along the promenade, stopping off at Molly’s for a delicious home cooked breakfast, lunch or dinner, or pay a visit next door from Molly's to the Bay Fish and Chip shop (brilliant fresh fish and worth the wait!) You may simply want to relax with a leisurely coffee at the Waterfront Cafe offering dramatic sea views or Molly's on the seafront. If you prefer sample some fine dining at one of Scotland’s best seafood restaurants, The Tolbooth (booking essential) overlooking the picturesque, historic harbour or just sit by the sea with an ice-cream from Aunt Betty’s – (toppings a must!) and soak in the atmosphere, whilst dolphin spotting. Further restaurants, cafes, bars, ice-cream shops, fish and chip shops (including the Carron famous for its deep fried Mars bars) can be found in the surrounding streets and are too numerous to mention you will just keep finding them!
For the children there is the adventure playground, teenagers the skate park and don’t forget to bring your swimming costume for a quick splash in our famous Art Deco Olympic sized heated out-door pool (summer months only) and offering midweek midnight swims. The leisure centre has an indoor pool open all year. We also have a bowling green, putting and tennis courts – there is something for everyone.
If you are feeling energetic you can walk up through Bervie Braes towards Dunnottar Castle - well worth the climb as once at the top the view on a nice day is amazing of Stonehaven Bay. A further five minute walk and passing the war memorial, you will see our iconic Dunnottar Castle in the distance a spectacular fortress ruins where you can take in the breath-taking awesome scenery, imagining life in the 15th century (Part of Hamlet was filmed here starring Mel Gibson) and a “must” visit.
Stonehaven also has one of the oldest golf courses in Scotland which straddles the Highland Fault Line and offers scenic views across Stonehaven Bay towards Dunnottar (visitors welcome any time and we are able to offer discounted prices). Nearby, the sandstone cliffs of Fowlsheugh hold one of Scotland's largest sea bird colonies. View the puffins during their nesting period; a truly memorable experience.

I'm starting this with... WOW!!! Absolutely amazing finding this on here. Superb location beautiful flat with a welcome pack left for us. Also milk was in the fridge and Prosecco!!! Frances was brilliant to communicate with from our original booking till we came home. Also she came to the flat to give me a cake for my 50th birthday!!!! How many hosts would do that. We were here to see the fireballs at Hogmanay and it was breathtaking with the fireworks at the end at the harbour. If you haven’t been before please go you will love it. Also stay here if you get the chance you will not be disappointed. Will definitely be booking here again and parking wasn't an issue also.

Lovely flat in town centre and 2 min walk to beach . Everything you needed and more in the flat a home from home . Great having 3 bedrooms . Location is perfect for a family trip as in town and a great bus service in to Aberdeen . Walking to Dunnottar Castle along the cliff top path was amazing with stunning views . The Castle was a must see and well worth the walk . Flat was decorated with Easter treats which the wee ones just loved . Stonehaven is a lovely town with plenty of walks around and the harbour a short walk away . Highly recommend the accommodation and the town for a holiday .

From the first contact with the amazingly helpful owner Frances this trip could not have been better. The apartments has been beautifully modernised and is full of lovely decorative features. You can tell the owners love it! Very cosy and comfy and spotlessly clean The most generous welcome pack was such a pleasant surprise after a traumatic journey. Stonehaven itself is a lovely spot and I could not recommend it and the apartment more!

Very pleasant flat and helpful owner. Noise was an issue for us, unfortunately. Saturday evening through until 3am was extremely noisy. Cars appeared to be racing each other just outside and several motorbikes were going around and around, gunning engines, literally until 3am. We'd been warned there might be noise the Sun am due to drain issues being explored under the flat next door. Not only was there a lot of workman noise 8am onwards - remember the traffic issues until 3am! - but the fairly noisy workmen then set off the fire alarms twice, they were ringing for quite some time, resulting in a fire engine arriving. Overall a bad start to the holiday leaving us quite stressed. Things improved thereafter and we had a lovely few days travelling out from Stonehaven.

The apartment was very well appointed and very homely. It was very conveniently positioned for easy access to the town, the beach and local attractions. We had not visited Stonehaven before but will definitely be back! The treats that were left around the apartment were appreciated. We had a wonderful holiday, thank you.

The best!
We had such a fantastic time staying in this property! Frances gave us tons of helpful information about the area. The place itself was pleasant, peaceful, clean, and well-stocked. We so appreciated all the treats and personal touches. My son is pretty outspoken, and this was our 6th VRBO in Scotland. This was the first one he was sad to leave! The area is magnificent, and we loved being about to walk to everything. There are great places to eat all around. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic accommodation in an idyllic location within walking distance to the beach!
Frances has made us most welcome during our short stay. She added her own personal touches throughout the property and left us with a good stock of treats on our arrival.
Would highly recommend this little gem of a place as a base for exploring Aberdeenshire!

Paradise in the North
A last-minute booking luckily brought us to a dream property. Frances was amazing and accommodating. Every detail of this property was thought-through and utterly charming. The location was great and the home was everything we needed and more.
The main bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen was very well appointed and the house was bright and cheery. The decor was so fun and breezy. There was plenty of room and we were very content.
Our daily walks on the beach and strolling around the delightful town gave us the recharge we were sorely in need of.
The only problem is that now I've left a piece of my heart in Stonehaven and will always yearn to return.

Fantastic gem of a property in a great location. Frances the owner made everyone feel special with personalised gifts and hidden surprises throughout the property which our girls loved. The holiday home had everything in it, from washing machine down to needle and thread and very informative throughout.

Home from home and great base for exploring
Thanks to Frances who was a fantastic host, lots of treats when we arrived as well as everything (and more) than you could possibly need to make you feel at home, completely safe and comfortable.
The flat couldn't be more handy for many local shops, cafes, restaurants and just a hop, skip and a jump to the promenade and the beach. We decided to leave the car at home and it was very easy and relaxing to get there by train. We also found it easy to catch local buses to explore the area and the occasional very reasonabl priced friendly taxi. Many places of interest within easy walking distance too. You must try the sea safari - spectacular views of the dramatic coastline and rich with wildlife (puffins and seals were my highlight) also we recommend you enjoy a couple of drinks or bite to eat overlooking Stonehaven harbour and take a walk to the magnificent Dunnottar castle, just book a ticket in advance - stunning position and really dramatic.
The flat looks even better in real life than the photos and everything on your doorstep. All the people we met in the shops and cafes etc were extremely friendly and helpful too. Lastly we would highly recommend the wee trip to Catterline just a very short distance away to see where Joan Eardley famously painted and a beautiful quiet bay and harbour with fantastic old original pub/restaurant above the pebble beach with amazing views! Great base for a holiday exploring the many interesting elements of the area - stunning nature walks and history within a few minutes walk in every direction.

Sunny Stonehaven
We had the most amazing week in Stonehaven, the accommodation was spotlessly clean and very spacious, one of the best we have stayed at. The owner Frances was very helpful and made great recommendations of things to see and do, we loved the little presents we all had on arrival. A really relaxing place to stay and so close to the beech. We will definitely return.

Perfect beach break with little ones
For a last minute staycation we had everything we could have hoped for in such a gorgeous apartment so close to the beach in Stonehaven. Our host was great to deal with from the second we booked with loads of help and advice. The apartment was lovely and full of loads of personalised touches. The kitchen was well equipped (as we largely self catered) thou the meals we did have out were great too. The convenience of being so close to the beach was perfect with two little ones (3 & 5) being able to nip back when needed. All worked a treat for our relaxing mini break to Stonehaven. Thank you so much

Happy holidays in Stonehaven
This lovely holiday apartment was the perfect base for exploring Stonehaven and the wider area of Aberdeenshire. The owner gave us lots of handy information on arrival - it's so close to the beach and all amenities. If the weather is warm and sunny, I would definitely recommend a trip to St Cyrus beach as it's only a half hour's drive away - it was so beautiful!
We'd definitely be back!
