We loved our stay at Tiger House. It was really easy to find, looked as good as we had hoped it would and was really stylish and comfortable. We had everything that we needed, including a resident goose and the water pressure in the shower is sensational. The couple of little queries I had were answered promptly and I would hesitate to stay here again.

Even cooler than it looks
We absolutely loved our stay at Tiger House! We were 2 couples staying for a long weekend. On the sunny days we enjoyed home-cooked meals outside overlooking the views. On the rainy days, we equally enjoyed playing board games by the fire. The ducklings were an added bonus!
It was really hard to leave…

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tiger House. Beautifully renovated barn in a lovely location
Very impressed with the standard of accommodation. Beautifully renovated barn, amazing location and situated close to amenities, attractions and lovely vineyards. Everything provided was to a very high standard and we especially enjoyed the "no tv or wifi" which made our time away that little bit more special. Hope to return in the future

Town and country
Tiger House is a wonderfully open and refreshing place to stay.Very clean and interesting- a HB holiday with country style. Very clean too. Great for our little granddaughter to meet the ducks and explore outside.
Thanks Woody - keep it up.

Quirky, charming and a wonderfully relaxing spot
Tiger house is a truly charming, rustic and unique accommodation with a swahili vibe that we just loved. Plenty of room inside and out- the expansive dressing room was a real treat. We also loved the outdoor claw foot bath and made use of the fire too. What joy to hear a Morepork at dusk in near by trees. Walking down the driveway to Birdwoods gallery through the avenue of old plane trees was just glorious. We were befriended by a little family of Indian runner ducks during our stay. The generous and delicious breakfast provisions were very much appreciated. A deeply rejuvenating stay!

Lovely escape
A charming place to get away. George's renovated barn was clean, quiet and beautifully styled. We felt like we could've been in Tuscany!
Has everything you need, nice tea, proper coffee and treats. We're definitely coming back.
PS: I use a wheelchair and found the property to be accessible if you're reasonably mobile/can transfer etc.

Relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings
Felt relaxed from the moment we arrived and spent every evening soaking in the outside bath under a star-studded sky, and then simmering in front of the indoor fireplace. George was great to communicate with and the accommodation had everything needed for self-catering, along with some breakfast supplies. We were really impressed with the interior decor and loved waking up to the birdsong every morning.

Luxuriously cruisy and so well appointed
The accomodation was like using a friends place - everything was provided that you could want - it was private, luxurious, peaceful and stylish. I loved that there wasnt a great long list of “dont do’s” - the instructions were to enjoy and treat it like your own - Just perfect. We came away so impressed and so relaxed.

Country Idyll
We had a wonderful long weekend at Tiger House and will definitely be back again. We visited in the middle of winter and were kept cosy by the log-fire with plenty of wood. Tiger House is set on a rambling farm with plenty of beautiful walks in the area and is a short drive from Havelock North town. I cooked for some friends who live in the area one night and the kitchen is an entertainers dream, I found everything I needed and we enjoyed a wonderful cosy evening in the open-plan space. We're planning our next trip already, we want to come again in the summer to experience Tiger House in another season and watch the sunsets from the perfectly appointed outdoor areas.

So chic !
This fabulous converted barn, in its country farm setting, does not disappoint. George is a wonderful host, unobtrusive but always on hand if you need him. His flair for design and eye for detail is evident throughout. It felt like staying in a five-star resort, without the price tag, which made you so much more appreciative of all the special touches –to name a few highlights were the high-quality products for breakfast including nice yoghurt & fresh farm eggs, fireplace with fantastic wood supply, great shower and outside bath, well-stocked pantry with gorgeous cutlery and crockery, recent lifestyle magazines and cookbooks, very comfortable bed and linen sheets. So simple, so stylish, so wonderful – wish I could have stayed longer. Highly recommend.

Lovely converted barn
We stayed at Tiger House after a month of travelling and it couldn't have been a better way to end our trip. George has done a fanstatic job with his renovation and the property is very peaceful while still being conveniently located. The outdoor bath is a highlight. It is also perfect if you have a pet, as we did, with an enclosed yard. A massive recommendation from us.

Country Retreat Indeed
We stumbled across the Tiger House looking for pet friendly accommodation in the Havlock North area. What a gem!
It is a country retreat with so much character! A break from the hustle and bustle, technology and tv to enjoy some quality family time. Chilling on the patio chairs with your favorite beverage, taking in the view from spectacular sunsets through the trees to the beautiful sky at night!
It is about 800m (by road) away from the Birdwoods Gallery which has awesome lunch and tea options. 3 odd kilometer from shops and numerous eateries in town.
Don't think twice, book and prepare to unwind. We loved our stay.

Bay dreams - the perfect getaway
We found Tiger House to be a charming hidden getaway. The cross between a French cottage with Thai influence, which from the road you wouldn’t even know it’s there. The view is stunning and so tranquil and we loved waking to the bellbirds each morning and walking to Birdwoods cafe. A truely good place to unwind.
