Amazing staff, would stay again just for them. Great location, easy to walk to everything. Staff were very accommodating of our dietary requests (vegan) they pointed out the foods we could have at the breakfast every morning. we arrived early in the morning and were invited to attend breakfast while we waited for our room. We were also offered massages at 50% off.
We paid for a Queen Suite and while it was lovely if probably wasn’t necessary.

Anna, the manager, was superb at her job. If we needed anything - hair shampoo, transport to Ha Long etc she was straight on it. Right next to the sword lake, so about as central as you could hope. All the staff greeted you, and doorman was alert and had the door open before you were 10 feet away. Great breakfast range of western & eastern.
Just being picky, but would have liked a fan to circulate the air, and the pillows were very thick for my preference.

The hotel was a good place to stay and centrally located. Room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful and happy to accommodate us.

The rooms were very nice and clean with good airconditioning. The hotel looked really nice.
But most importantly: the staff was super friendly! They helped us very well when we arrived earlier than check-in after a long flight. They offered us a complementary breakfast and we were able to checkin already at 9AM instead of 2PM.
We were always greeted with a smile and they were there to help us when we had questions.
On our last day we could leave our luggage at the hotel and before the night train we could take a free shower at the hotel.

Food, markets, street performances, coffee shops, nail saloon, and massages all within 1-5 minutes walk in any direction. Highly recommended a stay here.

The shining hotel is in a perfect location. If you haven’t been to Hanoi before and want to get a feel for the local culture, it is very close to little cafes and restaurants where you can eat or drink coffees like the locals. It is also near the lake and water puppet show and from the hotel you can easily go to other places in the city that you might want to see. The people at the hotel were all very smiley, nice and helpful, whether that is giving us a water proof jacket because they were worried about us getting wet or helping us organise our other trips in Vietnam. Hong, the travel agent, was absolutely fabulous. She communicated with me a lot before the trip and helped organise airport transfer, a trip to halong bay and even helped us organise a pickup from the station after the trip I had planned to sapa before knowing that they would help. It helped the trip run smoothly and made us really safe and comfortable. I would definitely recommend asking the hotel for any support during the trip as they are always there to help. The rooms are lovely and clean and nicely decorated. It was my partners birthday so they even left us a beautiful decoration which was a lovely surprise. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Schöne Zimmer, gute Betten und Top Lage. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ausgezeichnet! Service ist spitze! Besonders Tham macht einen herausragenden job.
Gym könnte größer sein. Es fehlen ein paar Hanteln.

Very nice people ad the reception. Ny from the reception gave us a very nice welcome. She helped us with giving a lot of nice information to discover Hanoi and gave us a really good service.
We had a beautiful, big and very clean family room. We had a lot of choice for breakfast. The hotel is very close to the lake and city centre.

Its location and outstanding staff. Hong, but especially Jen made our trip so pleasant. We could book tailor made tours in advance or the last moment. When Jen booked taxis she even checked if we had arrived safely. Mistakes in food deliveries were corrected by Jen. No request was too much for Jen I recommend the property strongly

The location is just perfect, in the heart of the old quarter, walking distance from all attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was also very good and SPA service is very recommendable as well.
We loved the the service by the very lovely staff - extremely helpful, very attentive and so nice. Big shoutout to Suzy who is an amazing concierge and all the ladies at the breakfast and the manager, everyone was so nice!

We loved how friendly the staff were. The place was super clean and organised. They had a variety of food for breakfast and the rooftop bar was great for a drink in the evening, more expensive than the street but typical for hotel bars around the world. We booked a massage at the space and the communication for this was very easy - they arranged it at reception and called our room with the time.

From the moment that we arrived to the moment that we left, we could not fault this hotel. The staff were amazing, especially Anna, who helped us with all of our trips and questions. The room was immaculate and comfortable. But the breakfast was the main event! Never have we ever had such an incredible feast! We highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Shining Central Hotel & Spa. The hotel location was ideal, and we would walk to most of the tourist spots. There was a wide variety of options for breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and the room was cleaned daily. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Thien from the reception. She was always easy to approach if we had any concerns and gave us good recommendations for restaurants, places to visit and reliable ATMs to use.
We got a room with balcony but the balcony was very small and not much of a view.

Khách sạn là lựa chọn tốt đối với khách du lịch Việt Nam cũng như người nước ngoài. Cảm ơn các bạn.

The hotel is nice, modern and well equipped! We only spent one night but it was a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was delicious! The location of the hotel is very centric and right next to great restaurants and coffees!
And special thanks to Emily at the front desk! She did amazing job attending us, helping us with our requests, and recommending us things for our upcoming days. We highly recommend staying here!
The room was a bit dark, not much natural light and the lighting in the room could be improved.

The location is great as it is right in the middle of old town. There’s good food and everything need within the vicinity. The staff was definitely a BIG BIG plus, their customer service is a 10/10 and they have been super helpful throughout the trip. My dad had a little issue with his eye due to an infection and the receptionist aided him and guided him to the pharmacy with the medication recommended! We became good friends with the staff here and it felt really homely. The stay was so so very comfortable and my family had a great time staying here. We also loved the breakfast, the spread changes daily and the food was of great quality. My parents loved the soups and noodles. They also helped us out with places we could shop/visit for new year’s goods and had great recommendations (definitely local gems).
The gym could be better, while the equipment was clean, it was a little lacking but definitely sufficient for a simple holiday work out.

Très bel accueil. L’hôtel est très propre et vraiment bien situé! Petit déjeuner délicieux et personnel à la salle à manger aux petits soins!!
Les chambres sont vraiment petites (apparemment comme ça pour la plupart des hôtels dans le vieux quartier). Notre première chambre avait une mini fenêtre qui donnait sur un mur… on a changé pour un peu plus grand avec une plus grande fenêtre. Pas vraiment d’espace de rangement pour les vêtements et pas très bien insonorisé.
