Dinner at Me-Gal was delicious

The animal view room was very unique - a little koala slept outside of our room on the trees. Friendly staff and we loved the private sanctuary tour.

Great way to spend 2 days at Taronga Zoo. Arrive on the day to and check in. Walk around the zoo and get access to your room by 2pm.
Join the Australian animal walk within the accomodation, grab dinner at the restaurant or drive out to grab food around Neutral bay, head back for a night zoo walk to see animals activities at night.
Then back to the lobby for some snacks and drinks at the bar.
Rest for the night and have breakfast with a view.
Check out and walk around for the rest of the day at the zoo!
Highly recommended.
A+++++
Great family activity.

Room was comfortable and access to the zoo really good. Staff super friendly and helpful.
Didn’t see a single animal in our overpriced animal view room. Just some scrub and a tree. With the zoo so close I wouldn’t bother.

We enjoyed the whole experience
It's the first time we have ever done the overnight stay and it didn't disappoint us.
In fact we have expressed our pleasure to multiple friends and family members.
We will definitely be back.
Nothing to complain about.
We enjoyed ourselves very much.

The wildlife retreat is absolutely stunning, the view from the Lounge area In reception, to the stunning rooms, and the view at breakfast…… OMG!!!!
Waking up with Koalas at your bedroom window and then looking down in the beautifully maintained wildlife sanctuary was just amazing.
Would totally recommend to anyone!
I don’t think there was one thing we found one thing that we didn’t like.

The location and views were amazing
The breakfast was disappointing because people don’t understand hygiene and were touching and licking the knife used for the butter.
Not able to use cash and the food at me-gal was average.

I liked the wedding that I attended. Other than that, there isn't much I did like about my stay here. Please see below on what I didn't like for further info.
The hotel itself was extremely hard to navigate around with minimal assistance from staff. We were charged an additional $200+ and were not advised why despite me trying to contact the property on numerous occasions. We only stayed as we were guests at a family wedding but really wish we had taken a taxi home to our city apartment. Nothing special about the place and not worth the money we were charged.

The sanctuary tour was really great, staff very friendly and could tell they loved their job.
Very kid friendly.
Buffet breakfast was great, so many options.
Accommodating to a late checkout with short notice.
Only downside was the cleaning staff entered our room without knocking which was disappointing.

Everything was amazing. Facilities, food, accommodation. Was just stunning. Exceeded expectations. View was world class, and close up encounters with the locals were amazing.
Nothing. We loved it. Absolutely perfect spot for a weekend getaway.

Beautiful location! The wildlife tour was brilliant!
Staff sometimes did not seem to be overly trained - no major issue but minor irritations like not get drinks right and having to remind them of service requirements in the fine dining reataurant
4.5 / 5.0
Breakfast was excellent. Special Gluten free toaster much appreciated. Zoo location, special tours all great!
The previous guests must have used the kettle to boil milk and it looked disgusting when trying to make a cup of tea. Reception was slow to respond , it took almost two hours and two calls to address the issue. Kettle was replaced.
