Great location and exceptionally comfortable.

Great location and the quality and comfort of the room was exceptional. I received full instructions in advance from the owners and I was very impressed with the service I received.

The property was not open to the public at the time of my stay but that was my fault for the day of booking and no fault of the venue. the "personal touch" would have enhanced the stay even more.

Heerlijk verblijf in comfortabele sfeervolle omgeving. Ontzettend leuk boutique hotel. En de berg begint bijna achter he

De sfeer en het comfort. Met heel veel aandacht ingericht. Ik voelde me Queen of the Palace.

De kamer had geen Kingsize bed maar Queensize bed. Daar had ik wel specifiek naar gekeken.

One of the best places I have ever stayed! This place is perfection.

The Gin Lounge has all the character and charm you could want. The details of the room were perfect from the cushions, to the lamps, to the tea cups for morning drinks. This is by far one of the best places we have ever stayed. Our stay was made even more perfect by the fabulous New Year’s Eve party in the downstairs bar. The bar and the staff were just wonderful. An unforgettable night!

Amazing NYE in Ilkley

What an amazing find. Absolutely fabulous little gem of a place. 5 minute walk into to town. The room was something else. Plush decor, rich vibrant colours. A lot of thought has gone into the detail. If you like to bathe in privacy though it's maybe not for you as our bath (roll top) was in the bay window. Obviously there are curtains. 🤣. Very quiet early on, downstairs in the bar, but went out for dinner came back 9ish and it was so busy. Really good band on. We have been lucky enough to stay in numerous hotels, and this would have to be in our top 3. Spot on Gin Lounge. We will be back. 10/10

Love the traditional feel of the room, but the hand held shower over the bath might put people off.

Fabulous place with amazing staff who were so friendly and helpful, we'll definetly be back.

We didn't have breakfast but the location is ideal, very close to the railway station and a short walk into the main town which is excellent.

There was nothing at all we didn't like, great place.

Would not recommend a friend to stay here.

There was no breakfast served.

Lack of thought in layout of room. For example clothes hanging rail was directly above the kettle. There was only only one bedside table. Despite a major selling point being the bathroom, there was no hot water in the morning. No bath related toiletries. Speaker playing music directly under window until around 11:30

Superb

Very unique and quirky theme which was continued throughout the property - great attention to detail! Fantastic, well stocked gin bar downstairs with helpful, knowledgeable staff and friendly patrons, which happened to have great live music on the evening of our stay. Large, comfortable bed and very quiet once the bar had closed for the night.

If I had to be picky, there’s a few things that could be improved about the bathroom (which was very spacious), such as having a smaller light besides the big ceiling lights, or frosting part of the large window for more privacy without having to close the blinds even by daylight. We also ran out of hot water half way through filling the bath (we understand it’s an old building and these things happen but it was a shame since we were really looking forward to using the nice bathtub).

Ideal location, comfy bed, stylish hotel with cool bar, could have some with a warm bath… 😬

Beautiful rooms with bags of character. Loved the bed

The bath water never got hot or even warm really and i had a couple of cold baths / showers in it which was a shame because it was a cool looking thing and after a race it would have been nice to have along warm soak.

There was no hot water. A lightbulb on the stairs was missing. The owner/manager was on holiday in Spain, and I have still not received in invoice for my stay.

Enjoyable, exceptionally clean and friendly :) no hot water in the morning :(

Great decor, friendly host and quirky room ideally located for all amenities. The Gin lounge itself was brilliant, great fun and an amazing drinks menu.

Unfortunately, the was no hot water in the morning and therefore we could not comfortably shower or bath. After running the taps for a significant time we got some lukewarm water. this unfortunately spoiled an otherwise very enjoyable stay.

A quirky, fun boutique hotel and bar. A must if you are staying in Ilkley.

Very personable and welcoming staff. Attentive to ensuring our stay was enjoyable. From the moment you walk in you just want to see more as the well planned interior captures you. Something a little different and something a little bit perfect!! Can’t wait to stay and see more of what the Gin Lounge has to offer.

Would have liked a hairdryer , don’t expect to take one for a night away, a little pricey considering no breakfast but I knew that before booking .

Quirky and beautiful, we loved it! Already planning a return trip 😍

I booked a room last minute and requested an early check in as we were attending a wedding nearby, and both the host and housekeeper Zoe went the extra mile to make that happen! Decor was beautiful and super quirky, a real cosy ambiance, and although they don’t offer their own parking, there were plenty of nearby spaces a short 1-2 minute walk away! I’d never heard of Ilkley before the wedding but we are already planning a trip back just to stay here again and spend more time in the room and try out the bar downstairs 😊 Great value for money!

One of the best experience

An incredibly stylish room with a lot of decor details that create a cosy atmosphere. We were delighted from the first moment we entered the room. Very clean and tidy and has everything you need like shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, and even hand cream. Amazing bathroom.

It is just perfect.
