This is a well maintained older property. It is very well equipped for living and eating. We were here last year and love the hot tub and view.
Thanks Vacasa

We had a group of 8 and the house had more than enough room and beds. The house had everything we needed. The only thing missing was additional tv’s. There is only 1 in the house.

The layout, the stocked kitchen, the view, the parking, the recycling, the rooms, the hot tub. One down was the dishwasher was touted as a major convenience but was broken. That should have been disclosed so we could have used a few throw away items.

Good location for what we did.

Had a rather large group in this house. Overall it was a good house, with the exception of some electrical issues. Had to buy a power bar extension cord to run things in the kitchen. Seemed like if you plugged in both coffee pots it would blow the circuit. Location is great. Just at the edge of town, but close to most everything. Seeing the mule deer across the road was really cool. Parking was actually more than expected. Overall would definitely rent again. Get this house and you will enjoy it.

We were expecting a beautiful immaculately clean and well maintained property for paying almost $1,000 to stay for less than 48hrs. The furniture is old and sat out. The house hasn't been deep cleaned in im assuming at least a year. There were stains under our bed on the box spring that looked like a huge amount of blood?! The cabinets and pantry door were sticky from old grease. The pantry door and walls around it were caked in old food splatters and who knows what. The dishes were dirty. So dirty that you could smell rancid oil when you opened the cabinets. And one plate smelled so bad it made me gag. The toaster was piled with crumbs from many prior guests left in it. The cooking utensils had dried food on them. The hot tub head rests had black mold grown into them. This property is not as its supposed to be for ANY price! When we saw the horrendous blood looking stain under one of the beds we stripped the bed so we could wash the sheets ourselves. The washer was disgusting! It smelled like dog poop and had dirt and grime all over the frame and inside the door. We left early because it was so gross. The location is nice but that is just Pagosa. This house was supposed to be a place my family and I could hang out and get in the hot tub and grill nice steaks and relax together. This house made us want to be anywhere but there. Even the grill was filthy! When we went to fire it up billows of smoke came off it from all the old grease and food left on the grate. This is a rip

The house is a good house, but the location is just ok. There is a trash can storage site that is adjacent to the house that we were not expecting, especially from the pictures provided from the website. There are no Mountain views from this home, although it sits high above a gravel road and overlooks a field. The outside porch is nice and the breeze was welcomed. The home is close to downtown and quick to get to. It I s an older home that could use updating. The stove/oven and fridge were older and didn’t work well and the outside grill did not work at all. When starting the oven, gas smell fills the cabin.
With temperatures in the 90’s the upstairs was over 100 degrees so we chose to buy portable airconditioning units (our decision to take home), which helped. Upon arrival there were no towels in any of the bathrooms. After contacting Vacasa and taking over 4 hours we had to buy towels for our stay. On day two we found all the towels in a closet that was locked in the hallway.
We have always had a great experience with Vrbo, however this was not our favorite place to stay. Upon arrival we also found two pills on the floor of the larger room upstairs and a bottle full of pills under the bed that was for asthma. There was also trash under the beds.
Although this was not our favorite house we look forward to using Vrbo again for our next family adventure.

We’ve rented from Vacasa several times and I’ve found them very responsive but the houses we’ve rented all needed some work.
The kitchen was remarkably well stocked. But pots and pans were old and blotchy from the propane stove. You can smell the propane in the house when you cook (an issue with a lot of gas stoves.)
Plates and bowls were a hodgepodge. I’m not a fan of just throwing things away, but when you’re paying thousands of dollars, you don’t want to find greasy pans and coffee grounds in the coffeemaker. Is it really so hard to pick up some matching dinnerware from WalMart?
The surfaces and bathrooms were clean but clearly the cleaning staff hadn’t vacuumed under the sofas. Rugs look like they could use a good cleaning too. Shark Vacuum wasn’t really up to the task.
The clothes dryer rattled so much we turned it off during dinner, but I was tempted to ad lib a dance to the varying rhythm.
Some of the plugs didn’t work and many were loose. One light fixture was missing a knob so we turned it on with pliers and then just unplugged it when we didn’t need the light.
They have solar panels (yeah) and a hot tub. Lovely view with a prairie dog colony and we think we saw a fox.
Some of our group didn’t feel comfortable walking to town from the house without even much of a shoulder to walk on. But it’s close to town.
Despite all this, the family had a great time.
Be sure to walk the path through the wetlands to town and check out Pagosa Baking!

This house is the perfectly located near town.
Plenty of room for 3 familes.

Close to town (3 min to Natural Grocers) but views out the window makes it feel like your in a remote cabin. Very roomy yet also cozy once you turn up the thermostat and fire up the gas-fired stove. It fit our group of 8 with plenty of room to spare. Kitchen was a good size and stocked with all the utensils you need to cook simple dinners like pasta or curry. Hot tub was amazing to soak after a long drive up to Pagosa in a blizzard.
Speaking of said blizzard, it was a big one and there were at least 6" of fresh snow on top of ice and packed snow and the driveway proved a bit too steep for our AWD Rav4 but we just parked halfway up and were able to get up the next day no problem. A truck, or 4WD suv would've had no problem. This isn't a ding, just a heads up if you arrive in a blizzard.
The Split Pine Cabin was a great place for our group to enjoy a great weekend of skiing.

Rented this cabin for a long weekend with my family. The location to town was great, no more than a 5 minute drive. We were there during an abnormally hot time, so the second floor was hot at night and sleeping the whole house fan helped.
The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and everything we needed to cook. The back deck and front porch were lovely to enjoy the view. There is a trail system across the road which we walked at night. Overall the property was clean, but the floors had not been vacuumed or washed. Bathrooms, kitchen and sheets were clean. The dogs loved to watch the horses next door.
Overall great stay.

The house was great for 6 grandkids and 6 adults. Plenty of room for all. Many places in the house to get a great game going and others could relax and read. House had everything we needed to prepare meals, fantastic table so all could eat together. It was a great time.

The house was very comfortable for our group of twelve. Six adults, two teens and four children.
The kitchen is large and well equipped. We cooked almost all of our meals which was fun and economical.
We enjoyed afternoons on the porch. It is roomy enough for everyone and has plenty of patio chairs. Inside, we opened the windows and enjoyed the fresh breeze.
The hot tub was a great way to end an active day!
I would stay in the Split Pine Cabin again and I highly recommend it for your group.

Lovely well stocked home with a view. The bed was super comfortable however the hot water did run out very quickly. There are horses next door that were fun to watch run about and a large field perfect for walks and light hiking.. Only a few minutes from the hot springs.

Spring Break 2022
Plenty of room for the seven of us. Comfortable rooms, nice bathrooms (shower has two shower heads!!). Beautiful views morning, day, and night with wildlife all around. Conveniently located close to everything in town but still quiet with a country feel. We loved it!

Great Stay
Property was just outside of town, but not far at all, so we didn't feel crowded in any way. Facing a meadow that regularly has deer grazing. Ages from 7-72 enjoyed what this place has to offer!

Exactly what we needed
This cabin was perfect for our first family trip to Pagosa Springs. The house was clean, cozy, and well appointed. There was ample space for everyone and enough seats and beds to accommodate our family. I loved the fireplace on the first floor and that the TV was on the second floor. The view was magnificent and we loved playing in the snow in the backyard and meeting the horses next door.

Pagaso springs
Very nice place spacious loved the wooden table big enough for our party of 9 but only thing no downstairs TV disappointed for a disabled person because he could not climb stairs to watch movies or move around much. Other than that it was very nice and bed was so comfortable we would live to go back and visit.

Over equipped and perfect for a large age range.
This home is accessible! There is a master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor with a ramp on the side of the house. There is about 2-3 steps to enter the house, so the ramp is perfect if taking the stairs isn’t possible. The kitchen was also extremely well equipped. We brought a few things from home, but really didn’t need any of it. There were more pots & pans (including griddles; waffle maker AND blenders) than all 3 of our family’s homes combined. The cabin also boasted quite a few culinary seasonings, which was a nice surprise. I wish I would have known the house had a high-chair and Pack n’ Play (we brought ours but wouldn’t have, had we known!). There was also a functioning baby gate, but the bar had been previously broken and taped together. Overall, I was very impressed with how accommodating the house was.

Dirty dishes and door knobs
The property description was not accurate. We found dirty dishes in cabinets. The door handles were dirty along with the doors. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the property. Especially with COVID19, the door handles should be washed before each new person rents. When the door handles are sticky, you know that didn’t happen.
