We loved our stay here. Sue was a very good host and was lovely to have milk, coffee and little gifts on arrival. The beds were very comfortable and well made. The heaters worked well and the shower was great. The chalet was well equipped. The location was quiet. From Elmrise Park we were able to explore different places; Llanstefan castle (free) and beach, Pendine sands and rock pools, Wiseman’s Bridge, Pembrey Country park for the beach, tobogganing and train ride plus Carmarthen for a bit of shopping! Thanks for a lovely stay Sue, would recommend.

The whole process was simple from booking to check in. The chalet was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable for our stay. The site is a lovely little site located in a great area for visiting Carmarthen, tenby, saundersfoot. The little village on llanstefan was beautiful too. A small, comfortable place to rest your head and a good base from which to explore this part of Wales. Beds comfortable and a well equipped home from home. TV a little small but hardly used it any way.

Very clean, lovely location
Spotlessly clean chalet, perfect location for some lovely day trips. We visited Colby gardens national trust and national botanic gardens which were both fantastic for adults and children. We also had a great day on Llansteffan beach and a visit to Carmarthen town for shopping and tea, both of which are within 10-15 minutes drive. Great for families, our 5 year old and 1 year old really enjoyed their stay. Great communication from Sue as well - thank you for a great bank holiday weekend

Lovely chalet in a great location
We had a lovely 4 night stay in this chalet. Sue was very welcoming in her emails and had kindly provided us with a cot and high chair for the baby. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The chalet is in a great location close to lots of places. The only thing was that the swimming pool wasn't open when we were there but Sue pointed us in the direction of a local pool that was great.

Home from home in the heart of the Welsh countryside
The chalet is situated in a quiet but friendly community, there is a pool and a small play park on-site and good restaurants and pubs in the nearby village. The chalet itself was comfortable and clean with every amenity provided. Additionally, we really appreciated Sue's personal touches like the welcome folder which gave us a lot of excellent local advice and helped us plan our day trips. Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay
Stayed for 3 nights for a wedding in a nearby hotel and absolutely enjoyed the chalet. We were 4 adults and 2 little children. The chalet was really clean and well equipped. Fixtures and fittings all very comfortable and in great condition. We were a 5 minute walk from the hotel and location wise it was brilliant. All the family enjoyed the chalet and would recommend it. The lady we corresponded with was really nice and helpful. In summary,a great choice of accommodation and an even better weekend at the wedding.

Charming chalet in a quiet location, ideally situated for exploring the area.
Lovely quiet park in a lovely location. Ideally situated for exploring the area. Chalet had everything we needed with lovely extra touches as well. Visited Folly Farm Zoo and Adventure Park, The Wales National Show Caves, Llansteffan castle and beach, Saundersfoot beach, Llawhaden castle, Pembrey Country Park beach and went horse trekking there too. Would highly recommend all as places to visit! Unfortunately as our English Easter school holidays were a week early a lot of activities were closed, so always phone before you go, but there was still plenty to do and my 12 and 15 year old children said the week went really quickly. (Unfortunately my son was fascinated by the pound coins going into the electric meter, I'm sure he was using more electricity than usual just so that he could top it up!) Thank you for a wonderful holiday, many happy memories to take away with us.

Quiet, well-located and self contained chalet
Very cosy chalet, well equipped with all you need for a nice stay. We really appreciated the little touches from the owner (welsh cakes, fresh flowers, milk in the fridge); it made us feel very welcome.
The site was nice and quiet. It is very conveniently located, with lovely beaches not too far, as well as lots of attractions and places to visit. Some very lovely walks as well not far from the property, means there is something for everyone to enjoy.
We would highly recommend staying here.

Clean, comfortable, owner very helpful, great value
We stayed at this chalet for a week in August 2016.The owner was extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The cleaning lady was also very helpful and obliging. Every home comfort/necessity had been carefully thought out and provided (even down to toys for the kids to play with, buckets/spades etc).We only wished we had stayed longer. Will definitely return.

Perfect setting for a peaceful break
We stayed at Milkwood for the three nights at the beginning of October half term. The chalet is well equipped, thoughtful touches such as extra blankets and a few toys and DVDs are provided for children. The mattresses were amazing! Could of slept forever! We were a little worried about the cost of heating the chalet using the electric heaters and the coin operated meter however it cost us only around £2 per day which was great considering how many appliances we has on!
The location of the chalet is lovely, you are only five minutes from Llamsteffan beach, and fifteen minutes in the other direction is Carmarthen for all you shopping supplies. We found nice woods to walk in, castles to explore and ale to drink. Thoroughly enjoyed our break.
Last but not least - the owner Sue is absolutely lovely and could not be more helpful. We accidentally left our youngest son's treasured snuggle pillow behind and she kindly retrieved and posted it back to us. Thank you Sue!

Perfect break
The property/chalet was clean and well presented, the owner even left us with the little essentials such as milk, coffee tea and sugar.
Perfect base in which you can explore the local area, such as Llanstefan beach, highly rec the little café and souvenir shop. Wonderful views over the estuary and if you look round you can see big hills rising up as if out of the sea.
Laugharne is also not far away, there is a castle to visit as well as Dylan Thomas' Boathouse, very peaceful.
Camarthen is not far away, you'll find the big Tesco's as well as shopping, cinema etc.
The next town on from here is Johnstown, the local spa shop has everyday essentials you need, a little further on is the leisure centre and bowling.
Can't fault the owner who was most helpful, even a small vase of fresh flowers, good communications.

Lovely stay, quiet location & fab walks
Thoroughly lovely visit. It's a beautiful part of Wales & we took the opportunity to visit Sandersfoot, Tenby & Oxwich Bay beach whilst we were there. The chalet was the perfect location for us & we would love to come back again another time.
The cleaner had make a nice job of freshening the chalet for our arrival

Milkwood, great location
This chalet is in a fantastic part of Wales. Very close to lots of castles and clean beaches. There is so much to do that our 7 days was not enough. The chalet is so well-equipped - much more that expected. Travel cot, all kitchen utensils and cleaning apparatus, childrens toys, videos and books. We are hoping to stay again next year. Very friendly owner. Access to Internet for £5 was well worth it as we are both self employed and needed to check emails day to day and we could also use BBC Iplayer etc. Picnic table outside and garden chairs were great although we were too busy to use them. Quiet childrens play area and pool.

A good chalet base for exploring South West wales
Our family of five (kids aged 11,9,7) had a great time the week we spent at this chalet, even when it was raining - This is when it is a good time to take advantage of the free swimming. Lots to see and do in the area and there are lots of leaflets in the chalet to give you idea's of where to go. The owners are very kind and helpful. On the Sunday we went to the local beach, and castle, a great day out. Other days we went to the gold mine, dinosaur park, chocolate farm (my wife was dissapointed with this). Ensure you take some £1 coins for the electric, in summer we used £10 (all the kids charging their Nintendos !!). Finally, do not trust your Sat nav 100% of the time, we did start to go down an overgrown dirt road at one point !
