Heerlijke rustige en ruime locatie nabij vliegveld

Fijne ligging op ongeveer 15 minuten rijden van het vliegveld met parkeergelegenheid op eigen terrein. Een rustige locatie met een heerlijk ruime tuin. De ontvangst is hartelijk en de eigenaresse deelt graag haar tips voor bezienswaardigheden of leuke soda's voor je vervolgroute. We hadden een ruime kamer met een eigen zitgelegenheid buiten. Het ontbijt in de sfeervolle ontbijtruimte was heerlijk en met verschillende keuzes.

A sweet, comfortable stay.

The grounds and ambiance of the breakfast place. Margarita helped me a lot. She drove me to a restaurant, and the restaurant staff brought me back. She drove me to the zoo . The grounds were wonderful and you can take a short stroll throughout a few times a day. Quiet and restful .

No real restaurant. Hot water only in the shower. Unexpected, but ok once I knew. The towels were made of microfiber and not absorbent . Otherwise, perfect.

Exceptional

Villa Margarita has a very friendly and familiar atmosphere with a great host. Margarita is always available if you need something and offers a fantastic service. The place is very special and alone worth the trip to Costa Rica.

location, atmosphere, staff

only complaint was the towels in the bathroom. not sure what the material was but you could not get dry. felt like some type of microfiber but did not absorb water at all. had to get dry with the paper towels in the bathroom. really need to replace them with cotton terry cloth towels and wash clothes.

wonderful place to stay, especially before/after a flight as it’s very close to the airport but very quiet. Margarit

Lovely breakfast, great playground for the kids, good location 20 mins from the airport.

shower pressure was slightly low, but that was fine and there was plenty of hot water.

my family spent one night at Villa Margarita and absolutely enjoyed our stay! The owner, Margarita, is a joy to talk to. We enjoyed a dinner she prepared for as, and loved the breakfast served. Four wonderful dogs were very friendly and entertaining! Great place to stop if you need to spend a night by the airport.

great quiet place in nature next to the city!

Good location - 20 min from the airport, yet quiet and in nature! Very friendly host, helped us with all questions and information. Great room, bathroom. Friendly and cute dogs :) nice garden, free parking.

The perfect location for a stopover coming form the SJ airport. We had such a lovely time here, the host just makes you feel right at home (& she - as she already predicted - made the best coffee we had on our entire trip).

A true gem close to Alajuela

Where to start? The place is conveniently located for the airport, the grounds are just beautiful, the pool open at all times (had a lovely night swim under the stars, seeing San Jose's lights twinkle in the background behind the palm trees), room is big and comfy, bathroom looks new, breakfast is delicious - but best of all is possibly Margarita herself. Just soo lovely and helpful!! She won't have it that you waste money on Poas covered in clouds - you see it from her grounds and if clear in the morning you book, and only then! 'House taxi driver' Carlos takes you, waits patiently, and takes you back....

I wish we stayed longer! Amazing hospitality!

Our flight was delayed so we didn’t not arrive until late in the night, but Margarita was so kind and made us a quick bite to eat. Breakfast was also delicious! While we were only there for one night, Villa Margarita was a great beginning to our 10 day trip in Costa Rica.

We knew there wasn’t going to be AC, which is always kind of a bummer for a couple of Texans, BUT we slept just fine with the windows open. It got surprisingly cool at night!

Margarita was a delightful host! pampered us and made us feel like guests or family, not customers. beds were comfortable. breakfast was amazing!!

The bedding was clean but shabby. could be updated. The shower was confusing and gave me some trouble turning it off.

Villa Margarita was simply the best, we loved everything about the place

Loved the overall layout and the way Margarita was so helpful. Everything was perfect for our family aged from 17 to 83. The pancakes were incredible!

Beautiful gardens and pool, fabulous host, lovely rooms with comfy beds and hot showers.

Villa Margarita exceeded our expectations largely due to the fabulous host and beautiful gardens. We had thought our time in San Jose would be just a stop-off on our way to the airport but we fell in love with the place. Margarite went above and beyond to help in anyway she could, the rooms were spacious and clean, and we spent a great deal of time bird watching in the garden as well as enjoying the pool. The dogs were very friendly and the staff lovely. Fabulous breakfasts. It was so lovely to meet you Margarite - thank you for having us! we will be recommending to friends and family.

Amazing beautiful stay.

Super convenient location 10 minutes away from SJO airport. The villa is beautiful and rustic and Margarita is an amazing host. She has 3 really nice dogs and some beautiful cats as well. The breakfast was amazing, best gallo pinto I had during my entire trip. The rooms and clean and cozy and the bed was huge. Very comfortable and quiet at night. The best part of the stay was getting to talk to Margarita. She is an exceptional host, a super inspiring lady and extremely nice. She even made us welcome drinks right when we arrived and made us feel at home. Highly recommend. Thank you Margarita!

Super clean, comfortable, beautiful rooms and a friendly host!

The property is beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and spacious, with a comfy bed and pillows. Everything was super clean. Margarita is the sweetest host! She is warm and personable and really goes above and beyond to make her guests comfortable. And she made me some yummy beans and rice, and smoothies for me during my stay. I will definitely be returning for a stay in the future at Villa Margarita — this will be my new go-to spot in San Jose. Thanks for everything, Margarita :)

Great introduction to Costa Rica, with warm inviting staff and lovely grounds.

Rustic, unique rooms, lovely grounds, and an extremely welcoming host! The friendly dogs and cats were a particular attraction for my animal-loving kids

It was a little difficult to find but otherwise I have nothing negative to say!
