Nice little getaway in the woods .. definitely would recommend

A great spot to get away with family or friends! We had a wonderful, relaxing time and it's so close to downtown Saugatuck! It had everything we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit and the great sound system on the main floor to get a relaxing vibe going. Would definitely recommend and go again!

This home was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean. It was spacious. It had everything you needed to make a meal. It was close to downtown and orchard. We would stay here over and over again. The details and cozy home left us relaxed and comfortable. Vacasa was quick to answer questions.

Great house for 3 couples / plenty of space to hang out together but still
Have our own space too. Great location - close to so many great wineries and downtown Saugatuck. Would stay here again.

We had a good time in Saugatuck

We enjoyed our stay at the property. There was plenty of space for 6 adults. We walked into town at least twice a day ( ~20 min walk) to enjoy the shopping, water views and restaurants.
There are 4 separate bedrooms and a pull out sofa which allowed everyone in our family to have their own space. The kitchen is great for cooking and well stocked.
We especially liked the screened in porch for meals and board game nights.
The washer/dryer was also nice to have.

Very cool and contemporary house in the woods. Quiet and peaceful setting. We would stay here again!

We love the open spaces and clean modern design. 3 full baths and Queen+ beds are great. Big TV in basement is perfect.

The house is cool! Great location tucked in the woods, but very near all the sites of Saugatuck. Especially like the decorations, art, and design features. Plenty of space for our party of 8, there was everything we needed to cook for 8, including a new gas griddle. A wonderful house!

This house was perfect for a weekend getaway with easy access to downtown Saugatuck but secluded enough to get away from it all

Even better than it looks on the website. Surrounded by trees; deer and birds and black squirrels in the yard. Beds are huge and comfortable. A little dining room surrounded on three sides by trees was just lovely.
Clean and spacious, quick response from the local contacts.
Half a mile from Pennyroyal, a wonderful restaurant.
Six minutes from Saugatuck Dunes State Park where there were wonderful hikes through the trees and over the dunes.

My family stayed for a week in this fun home. It was 3min from downtown Saugatuck, yet completely surrounded by woods and natural beauty. We loved it!

Plenty of room for several people. Master on first floor, Bedroom upstairs, and two bedrooms downstairs. Temperature control of floors is not possible. First floor is most comfortable. Upstairs hot, downstairs very cool/cold, main floor perfect. Nice enclosed sunroom and campfire spot. Overall, a very good stay.

2 nights here and it was terrific. Expensive, but a lovely home.

Everything was fantastic. Well stocked with everything we needed in a vacation home: towels, linens, kitchenware, etc. Lovely quiet location in the woods. We spent each evening at the fire pit and were pleasantly surprised that we didn’t get eaten by mosquitoes (does the township spray?!) The contemporary design of the home was beautiful. Thank you for sharing this space with us.

Positives
Secluded house in the woods, location was serene and quiet
Negatives
The fact that it’s a secluded house, I would have expected a security system in place, which was missing
Pictures posted on the websites looked really impressive. However, the real experience was not great. Furniture - old, not comfortable and worn out | Utensils - Greasy | Bugs and dust in the house | Unpleasant Smell | uninviting grill set up |
Overall experience was way below the promise made and price charged was way too high. Would not recommend this to a friend.
4.9
Absolutely love the setting - close enough for a walk to town and right in the middle of a beautiful plot of land. Really beautiful grounds in a forest setting. Perfect combo of peace and quiet and proximity to downtown Douglas and Saugatuck.

We stayed here for a week in March. Whilst Saugatuck was sleepier than summer season (and covid) the house was exactly the trip we wanted. Somewhere to enjoy leisurely mornings seeing deer walk past the windows, the boys could venture through the woods nearby. Or Saugatuck was just a short 15 min walk. The property (and kitchen) had everything you needed. The theatre room was great for an evening movie. Shame we couldn't grill on the bbq but that's ok. Everything else was great. (Family of 4)

We arrived and were very impressed with the size of the house and bedrooms. There are also a lot of game options around the house like Topple, LIFE, and video games in the basement. The internet connection was decent and allowed us to stream movies to the TVs. The location is very secluded which is something we were looking for. We wanted to use the fire pit, but it was covered in snow. We did use the fireplace and bought more wood at the local grocery store. Its very quiet all day/night so sleeping was great! There was what seemed to be an issue with the sewage because the bathroom in the basement smelled terrible all the time so we never used it. The sinks backed up when we were cleaning dishes and that never got taken care of which was kind of disappointing. All said and done, I would rent here again, but I doubt I could afford it outside of the off season.

Labor day weekend is always a great time to be in Saugatuck. The house had any amenity that you could need. Although the steps down from the deck are likely the next to get updated, inside and out the property is well designed for a great weekend. Bedrooms are far enough apart that everyone feels like they have their own space. Definitely will keep this place in mind the next time we're in Michigan.
