Great Beach Access
This house fit out needs perfectly. We loved the space, enormous kitchen, hammocks on the patios, and access to a quiet strip of beach. We enjoyed visiting the forts and charting a fishing boat, too. Great trip.

Beautiful house, but needs work
The house and location were great. But there were several issues that we feel need to be addressed. The beds were terrible. The bunk beds mattresses were so hard and broken. The queen bed on the main level was so saggy in the middle that my husband and I continuously rolled to the middle of the bed. There was condensation dripping down the walls upstairs. The toilet paper roll holder on the main level and bottom levels were falling off. And the towel rack fell off the wall on the main level. The front door lock was inconsistent and would not open several times. So we ended up using the back door exclusively. We had dirty dishes in the cabinets and the ice maker wouldn’t dispense ice. The house just seemed like it hasn’t been kept up well. I was just expecting better from the price point.

This was a nice home and accommodated our group of 6 well. However, there were details that were lacking that added up to make our review a 3 star rather than 5 star.
1. The home accommodates either 8 or 10, but they do not provide enough supplies. There was 1 roll of paper towels, the only trash bag was the one in the van when we arrived, and each bathroom only contained 2 rolls of toilet paper. For as expensive as this property rents for, and the fact that they require 7 days minimum, I was sorely disappointed in the lack of supplies. No one wants to go to the (fairly expensive) store on the island to buy supplies on vacation. It wouldn’t hurt to throw in $5 worth of supplies to make our stay better. On top of that, we did not fill the house to capacity, so if it were full, expect to need to buy more. I should note that there were dishwasher and laundry pods, which was nice…however I bought laundry soap not expecting them to provide detergent.
2. The TV kept disconnecting from WiFi (which was the only way to watch TV). My husband was always able to figure it out, but it was an annoyance.
3. They removed the gas grill and did not replace it, so the food we brought with us to grill had to be adapted for indoor cooking. If you remove an amenity, it should be replaced and let the occupants know that it’s missing so they don’t bring things to use with that amenity (and perhaps adjust the price to account for the lack of stated amenity).
4. The property is on the market and we were asked if we could vacate the property for a short period of time to allow for a showing. We obliged, but it’s annoying that we were asked to leave a property that we paid good money to vacation at. I should note that we were not required to allow them to show the property, but I felt obligated when it was asked of us.
These are small things, but when you pay for a luxury property, the details should be covered and you should get a luxury experience.
What we enjoyed:
The home comfortably fit our party of 6, and I think 8 would fit comfortably. The only issue with 8 is that the dining table only seats 6, but there is a nearby bar in the kitchen that will accommodate 4 more.
It’s any easy walk to the beach and pool. Neither of which were ever overly crowded.
If you’re a golfer, there’s a trail right next to the house to take you to the golf course…just make sure you rent a golf cart to get you to the first hole.
It’s a gated community so very little traffic. My son brought his bike and I felt very comfortable with him riding to the pool and not having to worry about traffic.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, we just couldn’t rate it higher because of the missing details.

Summer vacation
Great location for beach and pool, house was gorgeous and neighborhood felt extremely safe and welcoming.

Great house. Great location.
We spent Thanksgiving weekend with family at the Hemingway and appreciated the cleanliness, kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils, excellent house layout, comfortable/spacious master bedroom/bathroom, multiple balconies with rockers and hammocks, and easy access to lovely beach & tennis courts. We were only unhappy with our inability to access WiFi. The password was spelled differently in the welcome email & the in-house card, so we tried both. Neither worked. We called the local Vacasa manager who promised to get back to us, but unfortunately never did (even after multiple calls and messages). We tried every Vacasa number we could find & spoke to someone at the national office who also promised to get back to us. They didn't either. After unplugging/replugging the router for a day, we finally tried using a capital letter in the password and connected to WiFi.

Great house and great location!

Small issues
There were no extra garbage bags, and when we asked for more, Vacasa claimed we had more, when we didn’t. We had to call again, after they came out the first time with no garbage bags, then they finally begrudgingly brought us a couple. The light over the stove doesn’t work. We had to ask for a welcome book. There was no legitimate view of the ocean. The plants on the balcony were dying from lack of water. The house itself is beautiful, but they should be more honest and customer friendly.

Beautiful place but too hot and no response from management.
The property and beach was beautiful. However, the ac never got about 78. It was locked at 74 and never even got to 74. The outdoor fans didn’t work on two floors or certain lights. Property manager never answered. The master bedroom TV didn’t work. Plenty of space, games and beautiful outdoor area.
