Everything about this listing was 100% true! Great place to stay.
Absolutely gorgeous view. Fantastic cabin, rustic and charming. Great hot tub. Video games for kids. All the amenities a family could want, including two full kitchens.
No conplaints. Would definitely stay here again.

The property over all was perfect for a vacation in the mountains the beds were comfortable and the view was beautiful. The property itself needs some changes to better accommodate guests. I never write long reviews but a few things must be said. When being charged a cleaning fee, one would expect not to have to dust. No shampoo or soap in the bathroom was inconvenient. Also only 2 garbage bags for a week stay was another thing that we had to purchase. The patio which is the main feature of the property was unusable. Dead plants hanging and placed everywhere not to mention a massive amount of furniture that was bolted to the floor. Rain would soak the cushions and we were not able to sit down. The welcome book was coming apart and instructions posted every where through out the property was tacky and unnecessary. The games downstairs were fun for the kids. Unfortunately the downstairs guests could not get the hot water inThe shower to work. Old fixtures. Some small changes would make a huge difference and the property would be much more enjoyable to those that stay. I’m not sure only one wine glass but that was strange. No salt and pepper ? As a traveler that uses Vrbo several times a year I’ve never paid so much and didn’t have basic things. In addition the cleaners left a envelope requesting a tip. We have paid a cleaning service fee and that was offended me.

This was an ideal location for my family’s New Year’s celebration. It not only had all the space and equipment we needed, the owners had decorated for Christmas, adding to the festive atmosphere. The long-distance views of the mountains are spectacular and proximity to local ski slopes very convenient. There were a few icy patches on steep roads within the neighborhood so 4-wheel drive, snow tires and/or tire chains are recommended.

Overall great property. Hard to describe how great the views are off the deck, pretty incredible!
The house was a perfect set up for us, basically fully functional upstairs and down. Teenage daughter and her friends loved hanging out in their own space downstairs.
Close to skiing, very close to tubing, really perfect for our trip. Definitely recommend.

Hawks Watch was the perfect place to spend our 2023 family Christmas! The only thing that didn’t cooperate was the weather.

Our extended family stayed here for Thanksgiving, and it was perfect. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved having their own space to play games and watch movies. The location was convenient to many attractions, but still far enough away to feel like you're getting away from everything.

The view was spectacular. The cabin itself needed a thorough cleaning. Not sure if it was cleaned before we came, hair in tub and lettuce in fridge drawer. We had a one year old with us and appreciated the portable crib and highchair. However, the kitchen table chairs are very light and the baby almost fell over when strapped into the high chair. Dangerous. We used 2 bar stools to support the chair.

Lovely cabin in a beautiful community with fantastic views. I could have sat on the deck the whole time I was there. Plenty of room for extended family. The kids loved the video games. We all enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace, very cozy in the cool evenings. Access was very easy. Communication with hosts was great. Overall, it was a very pleasant, relaxing experience.

It was a wonderful get away! Beautiful views from sun up to sun down! The house had a lot of different, fun things to do for all ages! Tons of fun hiking just a short distance from the cabin! Owners are easy to reach and had good communication…we loved our stay!

My wife and I spent a week at this cabin with our kids and grandkid, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary! We all had a great time with no problems at all. The cabin was big enough to accommodate us all in comfort! It is perfectly located to allow for day trips to all the points of interest in the area, especially Grandfather Mountain. We will definitely return to this beautiful cabin!

Thank you!!!!

The house was not very clean and the outside porches were not blown off. We had very good communication with the host. There were some problems with the listing that they were aware of however, we felt that if they knew of these issues they should not have listed it. Overall we enjoyed our time as a family together and the location of the home was perfect for all the things we wanted to do. However, the home was not clean and even collected lots of dust and dog hair on our two babies and their pacifiers.

Wonderful weekend stay- will definitely stay again

The property was very nice, however, many things were broken including 3 of the 4 fold-out beds, the latch for the bear bin, blinds, window cranks, the bench swing, a handful of lights, and a few other things.
The lower level was exceptionally dark and one of the two lights didn’t work.
The unit could also use a good cleaning. It seemed the cleaning crew hasn’t been checked up on in a while.

The place was clean, fully furnished and very comfortable beds. One awesome view and the weather turned out to be great!
We definitely will consider coming back next year.

Perfect Stay
We had a fantastic experience during our stay. The house has everything you need from linen, towels to a fully equipped kitchen. The owners of the property were amazing. We had to change the dates of our trip for health issues and the owners were great with communication and very flexible. Thanks for an amazing time at the mountains!!

Absolutely perfect in every way!
We cannot speak highly enough for our experience. Everything from arrival to our stay to departure was exceptional. We really REALLY loved the accommodations, the property, and the owners.
Everything you need is at your fingertips, the view is obviously breathtaking, and we were so comfortable just like home. We appreciate how clean and organized everything was, and so many thoughtful details were provided.
The owners are absolutely fantastic. The communication and availability that they provided was beyond expectations. They certainly went above and beyond.
This trip was a birthday getaway for our daughter that was a dream come true. We plan to come back for another winter trip and for a summer trip as well. Truly exceptional.

Great home with plenty of room
We stayed for 5 days through new year’s it’s in a great location with a beautiful view. Plenty of space for both our families 5and 5 with 6 children from ages 11 to 24 and all enjoyed it.

Great location and nice layout for multiple family gathering for space and privacy
We stayed for 2 weeks enjoying fires in the fireplace, beautiful sunrises, sunsets, cooking together and playing games. It was nice to have the pack and play, highchair and baby gates to accommodate the 2 year old. We loved how the deer would visit daily and the hikes we took near the home. My only suggestion to the owner would be to add a spice rack, buy some dish towels, add some foot stools in living room, WD40 the slider doors and front door, upgrade the bath towels, leave an extra set of sheets in closets for long stays and have trash picked up for guests staying longer then a week. THANK YOU for sharing your home 🏡 ❤

Fall Leaves Getaway
The property was a bit of challenge to get to - but so worth it once we arrived. The views were spectacular! Plenty of room for the six of us to spread out and everything was ready for us. The kitchen was well prepped and we especially appreciated the ease of putting everything back in its place.
Loved the fire pit - we all agreed we would come back here! And next time we'll include more family.
