Apart sfeertje omdat alles in oude stijl was. Mooie kamer en badkamer, goed bed. Hele vriendelijke dame en heer die er alles aan deden om jouw een fijn verblijf te bieden. Locatie lag centraal in het centrum tussen het oude en nieuwe gedeelte.
Verhoudingsgewijs vrij prijzig.

Location, atmosphere, decoration, owners, history.. It lives and breathes history..
I need to be really pity picking an negativity here. The shower however super clean and modern: it’s to small and not well designed. What leaves a huge mess what is not easy to clean because there is nothing in there to get rid of the water. Further then this excellent. The building is noizy because of it’s heritage. But not extreme.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen, schön renoviert mit viel Liebe zum Detail, tolles Frühstück und überaus freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Wir würden wieder buchen.

We stayed one night at the hotel, which has been beautifully and lovingly restored by the owners, and it is a feast for your eyes. The room was large with high ceilings and subtly painted shades of grey and pink. The original doors and floors have been stripped back and varnished. The shower room, though small, was exquisite. The bed was large and very comfortable. The rooms lead off the beautiful open communal area, which is bathed in soft light from the glass skylights. The communal areas are beautiful with the painted ceiling, a stripped spiral staircase leading to the loft room and antique furniture. Breakfast was delicious and consisted of handmade local traditional dishes. The location is central to the older part of Kalamata, which at night buzzes with life from all directions. The hotel is in the heart and soul of Kalamata, yet thanks to the excellent roads, you can drive to Kalamata Airport in less than 30 minutes.
Parking tip - do not attempt to park at hotel go to City Parking Lot - free and only 5 minute walk.
There was nothing I disliked, but there were a couple of things that would make this an exceptional hotel. Whilst there is air conditioning in the rooms, there was none in the communal areas. It was 30 degrees in Kalamata, and it would be lovely to walk into the cool, beautiful hotel. Secondly, there was not enough storage for clothes. We were only there one night it didn't matter to us, but on a longer stay, I do want to unpack my bag. I want to wish the owners every success with their lovely hotel. Thank you.

The charming and historical venue was stunning and the management were very hospitable. Effie and George could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The location was perfect 1/2 way between the old town and new town square and cafes and shops at the door step. The bus stop is three minutes walk and for 1.3 euros takes you to the beautiful beach and beach bars and seafood taverns. The bed was the most comfortable for our entire four week six accommodation stays. Luxury towels and robes and the best shower in Greece. Quiet private and the most beautiful breakfast is served.
Good wifi and we loved the balcony to view the interesting local town comings and going’s.
We recommend this hotel for romantic stay for couples who appreciate comfort and luxury with a great location.
We didn’t want to leave as our best stay in our four week Greece holiday.

An exceptional hotel - we are planning another trip to Kalamata just so we can stay here. The building has been beautifully and lovingly restored, and is utterly delightful. Our room was stunning, 4 huge windows (and thoughtfully upgraded to a balcony room). The bed was comfortable, the bathroom modern and rainfall shower great. The breakfast was out of this world, with delicious homemade cheese pie, home-baked bread, fresh orange juice, fruit, ham, cheese, eggs, and sweet pastries. The owners are warm, friendly, and very welcoming. We will definitely be back.

There was everything available you could expect: central location, comfortable and clean rooms, balcony with a view, nice bed. But the best was the family who really cares about their guests If you happen to be in Kalamata, don’t miss this experience. Very welcoming people and best stay!

The property was absolutely Fabulous. we were met by Effie and George who were amazing. the whole feel and experience of the hotel was fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was a real treat. Traditional food from Greece/Kalamata served individually to your table. A feast fit for a king.
we highly recommend this Location was perfect, in the Centre of the town and close to all shops and tavernas.
thank you for an amazing stay 😁

we were made so welcome - a really beautiful hotel, where we would stay again and recommend to friends. breakfast was great. hosts were friendly and so helpful.
the location is great - right in the heart of the town. only drawback on a weekend is noise from local nightlife. two of our group are light sleepers.

Nice location. Respectfully renovated with a cinematographic touch. Breakfast had a local flavor. Nice and friendly host.
Facilities and amenities were way below a 5star hotel standard. Actually I don’t believe that this property is a 5star hotel and therefore overpriced. Further the bathroom is modern and renovated but extremely small and not very functional.

The proximity in the city center and the exceptional service from George and his people
Not that I didn’t like but the parking if you have your own car is a bit of a challenge

Very welcoming staff and beautifully restored hotel with lots of old charm yet all the mod coms required. Managers were super helpful going as far as sorting out our car parking for us.

Super friendly and caring hosts in this nicely renovated hotel in one of the historic buildings of Kalamata made our stay really exceptional! The location is perfect to explore the city and take a stroll through the main areas with cafes/restaurants (definitely ask the hosts for recommendations, we ended up going there multiple times during our stay) and we usually found parking close by as well. For breakfast we got a nice variation of local specialities and despite the heat wave the rooms AC in combination with exceptionally comfortable bedding had us sleeping like babies!
An added bonus was the nice little cafe in the same building that served really great cakes and iced coffee as well!
We didn't know much about Kalamata before we came but Vasilikon definitely has us coming back to explore more of this beautiful area of Greece :)
Nothing negative comes to mind!

Centrally located next to many shops and restaurants. In the summer when the sun goes down at around 8:30pm, the whole town comes out and has dinner in the restaurants which is a great atmosphere -- I recommend having a Freddo Cappuccino after dinner and people watching. The room has everything you need -- soft beds, air conditioning, great smelling shampoo and body wash. The couple who own this hotel are very kind and took the time to get to know everyone who is staying there. They just remodeled the hotel (it is the oldest in Kalamata apparently) so you can tell it's a labor of love to them. Breakfast was huge - they absolutely spoiled me with coffee, local pastries, and cheese. Overall, great experience.
