About this apartment rental
Although situated within arms' reach of the bustling center, the apartment will make guests feel miles away from the summer crowds as they relax on the quiet private terrace and gaze at the majestic centuries-old walls of Old Town, with views of the sea and the cable car just opposite.
It has character and a lovely open shared space where you can enjoy sunset drinks with amazing view.
The apartment occupies the ground floor of an historic house that dates back to the 1700's and was one of the first houses to be built outside of the Old Town. The newly-renovated living room is furnished in a style that echoes the house’s long history, yet has been updated with modern conveniences like air conditioning, good a/c, Strong wi-fi Internet and flat-panel TV.
Off of the living room there are two full bathrooms (one with Jacuzzi, the other with shower), bedroom with queen bed, another bedroom with two single beds, and a separate full kitchen. At the back of the apartment there is another bedroom with queen bed, a bedroom with one single bed, and a 3rd bathroom with shower (please note that this bathroom, while functional, is bare-bones and should therefore be considered an extra convenience).
The queen and the single bedrooms are simple, tidy, and functional, while the double bedroom with 2 twin beds, which looks out onto the terrace, has been renovated and is nicely decorated in a classic style with rich mahogany furniture. The terrace is partly covered—thereby appealing to shade-seekers and sun-lovers alike—and is equipped with a table and chairs and a traditional stone barbecue.
Emma apartment sleeps 6 with the possibility of 3 additional guests* (2 on the living room sofa bed and 1 in the rear single bedroom).
Amenities include air conditioning in the living room and three bedrooms, except one small single bed room. This room is equipped with a ceiling fan.
Besides, the apartment’s thick stone walls and shaded position keep it remarkably cool!
Free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, washing machine, baby cot, high chair, and car seat (those last 3 items are on request).
It is perfect for a good sized group up to 7 or 9 people.
Our house manager is 24/7 on to the disposal to our guests.
But we don't want to disturb our guests and we are like a shadows. Always there when you need us but you never see us.
You will be delighted with the comfortable surroundings, the closeness to the old town. The Buza gate entrance to Old Town is less than 150 m from the apartment. From there, a descent down a long staircase leads right to the main street Stradun. Guests who want to avoid stairs can use the Ploce gate entrance, which is only 2-3 minutes' walking distance from the apartment.
All amenities you need are within minutes including, ATM, liquor store, the supermarket is about 300 left out of the apartment., a bakery and a newsagent is literally 10 m.
You can be delighted with the morning trips to the nearby bakery for delicious pasties and coffee, and to another little fruit store where we enjoyed fresh apples, nuts and apricots.
Emma's cottage is located very close to the bus station to different directions. Where from you can make short term excursions to Cavtat, Konavle, ...
We also offer airport transfers, and private tours in the area of Montenegro or Mostar!

Charming old home in an excellent location to old town Dubrovnik and bus stop. Very close to cable car which we were concerned about when booking but it is totally silent and we didn’t notice it at all. We stayed during the opening of the summer festival and were able to see the fireworks display in the port from the terrace. Beds were comfortable but creaky (noisy when moving around). Photos are accurate except for the terrace…it is so lovely. The photos don’t do it justice. Darko (host) was so very helpful and informative. Gave us great suggestions on where to eat (and where to avoid) and walked us through a map of the old town to help orient us. He also let us store our luggage for the day, after we checked out. House is not fancy but has everything you could need. Would stay again.

The villa is perfectly located for a short stay in Dubrovnik; easy walking distance to the old town, cable car, supermarket and bakeries. The villa is large with plenty of space for a group of 4 friends like us. Everything you could need is provided; the kitchen is very well eqipped. Darko is very welcoming and gave great recommendatons for things to see, directions and restaurants. We were very grateful for the airport transfer and the restaurant that he booked for us. I would highly recommend staying here.

This property is ideal. Ample front terrace with sunny and shady views of the old city and the sea. Comfortable beds, plenty of room for 5 friends. AC makes this a very comfortable place even in a hit spell. Well-equipped kitchen and comfortably furnished.
The host is communicative and very accommodating. Helped us with transportation and recommendations for dining and sights. In all, a wonderful experience for our first visit to Dubrovnik.

Das Haus ist sehr schön und innen ist alles mit Bedacht, sowie gemütlich und traditionell, eingerichtet. Es ist sehr empfehlenswert für Mini-Gruppen.

House in Dubrovnik
The location is terrific. Short, downhill, walk to old town. Lovely patio. The layout is a bit funky and rooms are fairly small - but overall a nice place and comfortable. Owner was friendly and helpful - but a bit militant about checkout time (kept pushing for the earliest checkout possible).

A nice place in a terrific spot, Steps away from Old Town
We always pick authentic, architecturally unique and centrally located places when we travel. Darko's place donahoe away from the North Gate and 3 minutes from the Ploce Gate did not disappoint. We found the place charming, well appointed and Darko a wonderful host.
