About this house rental
Sunkissed sits high on a bluff above the Pacific Ocean in the secluded hamlet of Pacific Beach, just a 6-min walk or 90-sec drive to the sand. Comfortably apportioned for larger groups or for couples who enjoy more space, this home is ideal for family gatherings. Work remotely on extended stays with a dedicated desk, monitor, and ethernet port providing gig speed internet.
A main floor primary bedroom sports a firm king mattress, expansive drawer space, and walk-in closet so that you can spread out during your stay. Linens are high thread-count cotton for comfort and durability. A 40" Smart TV provides access to cable and popular streaming apps. For guests travelling with infants, there is a changing table, pack-n-play, and baby bath for added convenience. This bedroom opens onto the privacy-fenced back yard and edible garden. When in-season, help yourself to some of the cherries, nectarines, apples, and berries. Dogs and children alike will find plenty of space to play between trips to the beach. An infrared grill allows for summer cookouts while a propane-fueled stone fire pit helps warm those chilly coastal evenings through shimmering copper fire-glass.
The main floor bathroom has a full tub/shower combo with glass door, providing a bright, modern setting while the privacy-screened window opens the room without compromising modesty. Plush white towels, coupled with dual hand showers, help to create a spa-like setting. Just outside in the hallway is a washer and steam dryer stocked with plenty of laundry supplies to last throughout your stay.
The kitchen has place settings for 8, wine and cocktail glasses, and a wide assortment of cooking utensils and bakeware. A durable 11-piece stainless steel cookware set ensures a pristine, professional cooking experience. Appliances include a hand mixer, blender, coffee maker, espresso maker, coffee grinder, and toaster. A dishwasher makes clean-up a snap. We stock the kitchen/pantry with staples, including 20 common spices, flour, sugar, coffee beans, vegetable and olive oil, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla extract, saran wrap, and tin foil. Should you need to make a last minute grocery run, You and I Market in downtown Pacific Beach and the Fresh Foods Market in neighboring Seabrook are local options.
The dining room table seats 6 comfortably with additional seating for 3 at the breakfast bar. A table-level highchair is available for our youngest guests. Partially hidden by the bar stools is a small cabinet which houses board games and assorted reading materials.
A 60" Smart TV graces the corner of the living room, again with access to cable and streaming apps. An electric fireplace illuminates a quartzite facade and travertine mantle, not only providing ambiance but also helping keep the winter chill at bay. Seating options include a couch, loveseat, and chaise with ample room to gather with family and friends.
Four large windows look out onto the expansive lower deck, which boasts a bistro set perfect for a morning latte surrounded by hanging flower baskets. Deck containers sport a series of fresh herbs, including thyme, mint, oregano, parsley, chives, and rosemary. Just off the deck, lavender provides summer perfume while two dwarf apple trees and creeping thyme complete the edible garden.
Back inside, ascending the stairs you will encounter an armoire with spare linens. To the right is the second bedroom, with a queen soft memory foam mattress, ample drawer space, an armoire for hanging clothes, and a desk with computer monitor where you can squeeze in a last-minute work project. A 32" Smart TV again provides access to cable and streaming content. This bedroom opens onto the upper deck, with sectional seating for 6. A deck box allows for storage of personal items, such as a good book and blanket. Our home is located one block in on the bluff, with interrupted ocean views between houses spanning approximately 160 degrees (see photos).
The second full bath is located off this bedroom, again with tub/shower combo, dual hand showers, and glass shower door. Plush towels and plenty of drawer and cabinet space further accommodate your grooming regimen.
Back across the hallway is the third bedroom with a queen medium-firm pillowtop mattress, as well as a Euro Lounger which folds down into a double bed. An armoire and nightstand provide storage space, a 32" Smart TV provides access to cable and streaming, and a balcony offers sunrise views.
"Sunkissed" is obviously a play on the color of the home, but it perfectly describes a Pacific Northwest summer -- including here on the coast. There is another shade named for the region: Grays Harbor. A deep, sulky blue-grey, it mirrors the color of the Pacific during our fierce late autumn storms. Whether your plans include strolling down the peaceful summer shoreline or watching violent winter waves redefine the coastline, we welcome you into our home to share in the beauty of the Washington Coast.

House just as described, loved the location away from crowds in Oceans shores.

Second year in a row we have been in Pacific. Except for the entire week of late fall weather, the home was just as lovely and cared for as last year. Appreciate the dog friendly accommodations. We will try again next year and hope for warm weather đ

We really enjoyed our stay. We used all the amenities from the fresh berries to fire pit to the grill. It would have been nice to have a griddle or grill pan to make pancakesâthe stainless steel pans didnât work well for that. We also wish there was a way to clean off our sandy feet and shoes before coming in the front door. We eventually hung the backyard garden hose over the fence but it wasnât very convenient. Over all, it was a very comfortable and well appointed home. Even the people staying in the vacation rental home next door wish they had found this home instead!

Bring your own throws for chilly days. It rained 2 days during our stay. Warm blankets would have been nice. The pillows provided are over stuffed and hard. Over all the house was clean and true regarding ad, with exception, no ocean view.

We enjoyed our stay in this rental property. Itâs a beautiful house inside and out. The owner has gone to great lengths to assure a quality, and educational, stay for his guests. Be sure to read the information about the plants that grace the backyard and front porch. And check out the dormant bee colony; thatâs an amazing tale. No bees are active so no worries. Inside the sunny house the walls are festooned
with Pacific Beach posters and professional grade photos of the the areaâs spectacular beauty. The neighborhood is small and quiet and the beach is a nice .6 mile walk. Want to drive? Take your car, theyâre allowed. While youâre there, be sure to check out the charming little community of Seabrook, 1.5 miles away.
We have been renting VRBO houses for more than a decade and this place is up there with the best.

We were quite impressed with this squeaky-clean rental and how they have covered so many details - from laundry soap, coffee, large assortment of spices and even baking ingredients to games, puzzles and even baby equipment - the owners have shown such thoughtfulness. The kitchen was small but excellent.
Our group of 5 appreciated the two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. The large upstairs balcony off the master bedroom is a great place to relax and listen to the ocean if you're lucky enough to get good weather.
The fenced back yard was perfect for our dogs and is a lovely green space with herbs and fruit trees.
As mentioned in the listing, the walk to the beach is about 6 minutes down a hill and through the neighborhood. It does seem quite a bit longer going back UP when you've walked the beach for hours ;) We did end up driving to the beach on subsequent trips.
This little community is quiet and peaceful compared to the chaotic tourist frenzy of Ocean Shores (and is near enough to Seabrook to bike to it). If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing family getaway on the beach with your pups, this is the place to go.
P.S. Loved the ocean-themed decor and the beautiful wall prints

The house was meticulously cleaned and well maintained. Perfect instructions on everything. Only minor minus was strong smell of cleaning in LR. Glad nice rental like this exists permitting dogs. Didnât lack for anything.
Location was excellent, enjoyed walking to beach and small town of Pacific Beach. Glad the section of beach south towards state park limits cars from April to Labor Day because people and dogs can walk without worrying about âtrafficâ.

It was a bit chilly on the beach for the first few days. The house is very clean and has everything you need for a nice getaway. We picked it because it is pet friendly and has a yard that is accessible from the bedroom to allow our boys a wee break at night. The bed in that room is firm and gave my husband a back ache so we moved to the much smaller bed in the 3rd bedroom upstairs. My corgis had to be carried up and down the stairs. I was glad we had our apple TV with us as we did have a rainy day.

House was clean and well decorated. Here is our list of suggestions:
The toaster needs replacing! Does not popup when complete. Have to unplug and replug each use - a fire hazard.
Screen door to back yard has tear in it.
Awkward to get to backyard thru a bedroom.
Couch upstairs is torn.
Suggest a stair guard (gate) to avoid falls down the stairs. Also a carpet a runner down middle of stairs would not only help muffle step noice , but would make stairs safer.
We could not use grill as planned as it need some overhead cover avoiding rain.
Kitchen could use some sponges to clean with.
Internet was very, very slow! You advertised great speed and cable, found neither.
Otherwise, we had a good family birthday celebration!

The cleanest place weâve ever rented! Top of the line of everything! Communication was great. Lovely home. Just wish we had better views of ocean but we had some. Thatâs something they canât control đ.

We enjoyed our stay at Pacific Beach tremendously thanks to the incredible Sunkissed house. Every little thing was considered in making the house feel like a home away from home. Very responsive and friendly host who takes considerable care to make guests feel welcome (and supported if needs arise). Thank you!

Thank you.

Our host has meticulously prepared this beach house home both inside and out. My first thought on arrival was WOW!! Beautiful hanging flower baskets and pots of labeled herbs adorned the front porch. Accessibility was simple especially with Rodericâs clear instructions on how to use the locking mechanism. Inside the home was impeccably clean and thoughtfully prepared combining artistic touches with ease of function. Everywhere was helpful information to locate and use all the amenities. The kitchen had everything we needed even providing many staples, cook and bakeware and attractive dishes and glassware to have a formal dining experience. There were also alternative plastic dishes to have a more casual feel. This spacious home also allowed 4 adults to spend time together and gave opportunities for private times to chill out. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds and high end linens. The garden at the back had ripe strawberries and a gas fire pit and grill. Views from the upper deck gave ocean and sunset views. Beach access to the expansive Pacific Ocean was an easy drive or walk down. Roderic is a conscientious host who communicates exceptionally well and thoughtfully prepares a home away from home. Book your stay and have an amazing vacation!

We have stayed in MANY vacation rentals, this one may have been the cleanest one. The home is well equipped and everything is great quality. It had everything we needed for our 8mo old to our dog. It is very organized including the ad for the house. The outside areas are beautiful and comfortable. The owner was very responsive. Overall one of the best places we have stayed and already talking about rebooking.

My family of 5 stayed at this property for three days. It was very clean, well located. quiet and had everything we needed. We especially liked all the little touches. Lots of cooking herbs, extra blankets and pillows and a lot of outdoor amenities.

The property was beautiful inside and out. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was easy to find. The beach was a short walk away. If you have difficulty walking m, driving your car to the beach would be better as the decline is steep. I would definitely stay here again!

Had the best 4th of July. This property is just close enough and just far enough. Beautiful home that made us feel so at home.

Very impressed with the property. I loved the plants & cleanliness of the home. It was perfect for my family and our pet. The property manager stocks the house with useful things for pets, babies, & general use in the house. I am a college student taking summer courses and the monitor that is available was a great space for me to study and get some work done. We would love to stay again sometime.

There isnât an actual sign that says that at Sunkissed, but every detail inside and out says it loudly. What a treat of a home! Decor was beautiful and furniture was comfortable. Not a single detail was overlooked; all to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Plenty of helpful signs and a literal drive around the corner to the beach. Not to mention the owner responded to an email after midnight when I sent a question. Top notch service.

Bath tubs need something to not be slippery. Friend almost fell. Mixing bowl would be good. Smoke odor in downstair bathroom. Lawn chairs would be great. Seats in back yard too hard to get in and out of for us older people.
GREAT PLACEâ¤ď¸

Beautiful property! Communication with the host was prompt and thorough. Everything was very clearly labeled and laid out. We had a very relaxing stay.
Close to the beach - but the walk back up the hill was tough. We opted to drive onto the beach after the 1st excursion.
Only thing I would say is the fans are very loud in the bathroom. But not a big deal to us.

We loved this beautiful beach cottage. It was a wonderful space that served as home for showing our adult cousins the beach and the nearby rainforest. House is immaculate and it receives perfect care. Kitchen is well equipped. We were amazed at how beautifully the house is decorated, too! This was a perfect Northwest getaway!

We loved staying at this beautiful house. The instructions were clear and helpful and everything was set up for us to have a great, relaxing stay. The beds are very comfortable - my mom said she hadn't slept that well in a long time! While not on the beach, beach access is easy and close by. We used the local beach access, Moclips, and the Pacific Beach State Park access, which are all easy to get to
It was nice to have a comfortable, well equipped house in a quiet neighborhood to return to when Washington weather didn't cooperate with very long walks on the beach. We all agreed we would return to this vacation rental.

We had a great time. The house was clean and cozy. Only downside was the lack of hot water the following morning and the bathroom fans randomly turning back on. However, when we contacted the property owner he quickly turned the hot water back on :) 9/10 would definitely recommend/book again

Roderic has literally thought of everything a guest would need. His home is impeccably clean, high-end kitchen supplies, comfortable furnishings and a cute back yard that I need to come back and see in the summer when everything is growing. We came to relax and recharge after a busy year and holiday season - and this was the perfect place do to so. Highly recommend this property for your get-away.

They were eight of us girls from the class of 1970 that stayed three nights at Sunkissed! We found it extremely clean, well equipped, comfortable and loved the spa like bathrooms. The bedrooms were furnished with beautiful furniture and there was plenty of extra pillows and bedding. We watched a Netflix movie on the TV and were surprised by how good the surround sound bar was! It felt like we were at the theater. There's also a wonderful herb garden out on the front porch and we found a few ripe strawberries in the garden out back. The weather was a little chilly at night so we didn't use the fire pit but we did use the indoor fireplace which provided a nice ambiance. The cottage only has two bathrooms but we found it worked out well for us 70-year-old ladies other than the tubs do not have a non-slip mat in them. We could have used more mirrors while everybody was doing their hair and makeup but we made do! We're already planning to make another trip next year and possibly rent the cottage next door too! Great experience and Roderic was excellent to work with!

We had a wonderful stay at this house. The house is immaculate and very comfortable. The beds were cozy and the front room was a perfect place to relax. We caught some cold weather when we were there so didnât get a chance to use the balcony but looks like it would be a wonderful spot to enjoy a drink in the evening. One night we made use of the gas Weber and it was so easy to use. The kitchen is very well equipped and made preparing dinner a breeze. The other nights we went to Seabrook for a dinner. This is a charming little village, straight out of the Truman Show! And, itâs only 5 minutes down the road. The beach is also a short walk away as well. Great for walks along the beach but unfortunately too cold to get in the water! Communication with Roderic was excellent. Highly recommend.

Incredible home!
This was definitely the nicest vacation rental weâve ever stayed in! Spotless and in excellent shape.! It was supplied with everything we needed, that wasnât food. It has a sweet, gas fire pit and fruit trees and berry bushes in the secure back yard. 30 minutes from Ocean Shores. A mile to Pacific Beach! Instructions posted all over, in case you arenât sure how to use something! Great value!

GREAT 3 COUPLES GET AWAY LOCATION!
The care that goes into this home is obvious. Itâs darling from the outside and is, undoubtably, the cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed in⌠VERY IMPRESSIVE! We stayed for 3 nights and the layout worked nicely for our group of 3 couples. We prepared several meals while there and found the kitchen to be stocked quite nicely, including a large variety of spices and delicious coffee beans.
If we could share just a couple of suggestions with the owner, weâd like to have had some non-stick pots & pans. Those scrambled eggs and bacon are a pain to clean up without non-stick:(. Also, including a TV in the third bedroom too, would be great.
Lastly, as the home accommodates 6, it would be great if the living area included soft seating for 6 rather than 5. We hope to stay again, and thank you for sharing a great weekend get away spot!
