About this cabin rental
Welcome to one of the most well-stocked cabins in the Hocking Hills, where you can enjoy seclusion and tranquility in a spotlessly clean cabin nestled on a 42-acre ridgetop surrounded by epic forest scenery! This 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin boasts a walkout basement, two amazing decks, and a fully-equipped kitchen that will make your travels stress-free.
As you approach the cabin from below, following an old logging road through the woods, you'll be greeted by an excellent seating space on the front deck. This is a great spot to get acquainted with the property before entering the cabin, where you'll find a charming open-concept living room, a well-appointed kitchen, and a cozy dining area.
The wall coverings were milled from local salvaged timber, giving the cabin a unique character. The rich Red Oak floors were also sourced from the area.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all the supplies you need, including coffee, olive oil, salt and pepper, paper towels, cookware, plates, bowls, utensils, and more. You can grill out on the large grill or use the full-size range to whip up a delicious meal.
The living area features ample seating around a beautiful gas fireplace, which provides great ambiance and radiant heat with the flick of a switch!
On the same floor, you’ll find two spacious yet cozy bedrooms, both featuring large windows with queen-sized luxury memory foam mattresses, located on the same floor as a lovely full bathroom.
Step out onto the elevated back deck and relax with tranquil views of the forest below. The ceiling fans on both decks make them great outdoor living spaces that stay comfortable even on the hottest days!
Heading downstairs to the walkout basement, you'll find a spacious rec room with a big-screen Roku smart TV. YouTube TV is available for your enjoyment, and you're welcome to log in to your own streaming services as well.
Two more bedrooms with forest views are down the hall, one with a queen bed and the other with a full/twin bunk bed - ideal for larger groups or kids!
The back porch provides additional outdoor space and is a nice quiet nook to relax and enjoy the sounds and sights of the forest while working the grill. When the sun sets, head around back and enjoy the night while sitting around the fire pit with your group.
The property itself is 42 acres and is yours to explore! There are a few old logging roads that are great for hiking, but keep in mind that they aren't currently maintained, so long pants are highly recommended. While there is one other cabin (listing #7713482) within eyeshot on the property, it is 500+ feet away, so you're about as secluded as it gets!
Although the cabin is secluded, it's less than 25 minutes from Hocking Hills State Park, which offers a range of outdoor activities for visitors. Tar Hollow is also nearby and has a public swimming lake.
The last mile of the road is gravel, but it's worth it! Standard sedans are usually fine as long as you drive slowly and strategically. Sporty low-clearance vehicles should be avoided. All-wheel drive is recommended in the winter months in case there is snow on the ground.
The internet is completely free of charge and is a high-speed low latency Starlink connection, making it easy to stream video or do video calling.
We keep our base rate on the low end and charge additional guest fees based on the number in your group. There are no guest fees for the first two guests. Please be honest about the number in your group, as we reserve the right to retain the damage deposit if we find that more beds and/or towels were used than the number of guests specified.
We also highly recommend that you purchase your own travel insurance in case of the need to cancel due to a positive COVID case in your group.
Finally, please take note that we are not responsible for items left behind. Any items that are requested to be mailed back will cost a $100 fee plus the cost of shipping.
Hunting is only allowed if both cabins on the property are rented at the same time (#7713482 and #1781220). A $250/day fee applies.
We look forward to having you stay with us and hope you enjoy your time in the Hocking Hills!

Great place for large family get togethers. Everyone had plenty of room.

Cozy cabin - totally secluded in the woods. Great for small group outing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Definitely want to drive 4x4, if you have that option.

A wonderful place and great communication, highly recommend

Excellent property. Very quiet. No birds or animals heard or seen. Clean place out on top of a hill. Beautiful woods, and so peaceful. Close to small town and hiking. No mosquitoes, or bugs. Fresh air, and fresh well water. Hot water on demand. Can't say much more. If you like quiet and clean space, you will love being out here like we did.

We all had a great time in this cabin. Thank you for the experience. Beautiful location and cabin.

cabin was very nice, good layout, location was way out in the boonies which was stated in the vrbo description.
while vrbo description stated roads to take, it was very confusing, I spent about an hour on the maps trying to figure out what roads to take. We decided to use Waze mapping software in care and drove right to the cabin, all that stress for nothing, I think reenter overreacted to people using old GPS systems and not internet systems, however, on parts of the roads there was not internet available. Last 150 feet of road up mountain to cabin was in rough condition, no problem for our truck but honda odyssey struggled getting up the hill, we did not use Honda the rest of our stay. so 4wd truck or SUV is highly recommended as stated in the description for winter, I think it should be all year.
we won't be coming back to this cabin unless we have
a truck or SUV even though we loved the cabin and setting. Also feel that internet-based GPS (Google, Waze, Apple) will get your there.

This house is truly secluded in a beautiful forest. Our family of four had plenty of room with some to spare. Amazing views off the back deck, which is where we ate and spent time. We ventured out to Logan to hike, zip line (highly recommend), and eat. The hills leading up to the house are steep and gravel/dirt. All Wheel drive was handy.

Amazing isolated cabin! We wanted to spend some time away from the busy city and this cabin was perfect! Plenty of space for the kids and dogs to play and run around. Loved the fire pit and hot tub!

Loved the secluded location, the cabin was awesome, loved both of the decks, the hot tub, fire pit, and the corn hole game got a lot of use after a long day of hiking. The whole family had a great time.

Loved the seclusion of this property. An adventure just getting to the cabin- many times we saw deer along the road! It is “off the beaten path” but owners gave excellent detailed directions and the location is exactly what we were looking for. The setting in the woods was quiet and peaceful and could be enjoyed from both the front and back decks. We had an SUV so the single lane gravel road was not an issue. Away from the nearby cities, but only a 30 minute drive to restaurants and lots of Hocking Hills sightseeing. Loved the 2 full baths on both levels- adult kids had the lower level, giving us all space to spread out. The table on the back deck was great for meals and games. Had all the amenities- the WiFi worked great for being out in the woods. Central air was great after hiking in the heat all day. We really enjoyed our stay here! Hoping to visit again sometime - probably in the Spring when the waterfalls around Hocking Hills have more water. Would not hesitate to book this cottage again!

We had a wonderful stay in this quiet little cabin off the beaten path. It’s very clean and had all the necessities. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. We highly recommend stopping at L&J’s pizza/ice cream!!! It was excellent! Short stay packed with a lifetime of memories… thank you!

We had the best stay at this cabin. Everything was as pictured and explained by the host. Communication was great and our stay was without issue of any type. We would recommend this to anyone who wanted to stay near Hocking Hills without feeling too close to anything. We’ll definitely rent this cabin again on our next trip to Hocking Hills.

Had 4 couples (2 parents, three adult children + spouses) and a 4 year old and infant. sleeping arrangement were slightly cramped (one room was double/single bunk), but EVERYTHING else about the property was spectacular. Everything we needed for a successful outing.

The stay was amazing! And extremely peaceful! We normally go go go when we are in hocking hills but this year it was nice to be in a cabin that was out of the way! You couldn't hear anything but the birds and it was amazing!! We definitely will be back next year 100%

Very private, cozy cabin. Family was able to visit many locations from this cabin. This was a quiet cabin that offered just what was needed to cook our own meals and gave our family some much needed time away for a few days. For some the only downside could be if you have a vehicle that rides low to the ground. We would visit again if in the area.

Absolutely amazing! Enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, grill, hiking trails all in one spot! Very relaxing and remote. Brought our papillon small dog and he was just as excited!! We will definitely be back!

I use to live in the country as a kid but moved to the city as an adult. This cabin was beautiful and clean. The surounding area is peaceful, the perfect escape from city life. My children had their first intro to mother nature.

Check in was easy and the host made sure to check in with us throughout the whole process.
The kitchen is filled with the equipment for cooking and I really appreciate the extra seasonings and olive oil in the cabinets.
We enjoyed every area of the cabin and would book here again.
Another note, it would've been nice if there was an outdoor light by the hot tub. That area is really dark if you're trying to enjoy the hot tub during the evening.

We loved our 3 night stay at this cabin.
The kitchen was so well stocked with anything you should need: blender, handheld mixer, pans, baking dishes, some basic seasonings.
The family spaces are comfortable and cozy. We watched the Ohio State basketball game on the provided YouTube TV and never had problems with the internet or speed.
There are movies and games available, extra towels for the hot tub. They even had poop bags for the dogs. There wasn't any wood for the fire pit, but we didn't have trouble finding sticks and some larger pieces in the woods to burn.
The grill igniter is broken, but they left matches so we used those to light the grill.
This place really felt like a home away from home and we hope to be able to visit again!

This was our second year coming out for a nice long weekend with old friends. We loved it the first time and were excited to be back. The addition of the hot tub was awesome. We look forward to next year!

The cabin was exactly as described and was just perfect for a long weekend getaway with the family. We enjoyed outdoor campfires, star gazing, amazing 360° views, hiking, hot tubbing, meals and games around the large kitchen table and memories that will last forever:-)

This place was exactly what we were looking for! We were looking for a secluded, family getaway over the holiday break. The family requests: fireplace, outdoor fire pit, hot tub, and something to do outdoors. This cabin hit all the marks! The cabin also had ample fridge space and the kitchen had almost every supply you might need.
This was our first time in Hocking County and it was beautiful. A couple tips….
*Follow the directions provided, not google/apple maps. Owners did a great job of providing accurate directions
*The cabin is quite a bit off the main road, decently paved and even gravel roads/driveway were decent, our AWD Honda did great!
* Either bring food or plan extra time to hit the grocery bc it was about 30 min away
*If you are headed to a restaurant, you might want to call to make sure they are open. We were 0 for 3 on open restaurants for dinner one night because we didn’t want fast food.
There was a little hiccup at the beginning of our stay, but the owner was quick to prove a solution.
We would stay again!

It was very clean and very comfortable. It is quiet and feels very secluded but is no more than 20 minutes from any of the attractions of Hocking Hills. The owners communication was great. Especially regarding road conditions in the winter, which is when we visited. Our jeep did fine but a sedan or small car could have trouble during the winter.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! The kitchen was fully stocked, allowing us to bake and cook as a family. It was an easy drive to Hocking Hills and Tar Hallow. The communication with Greg was easy and transparent.

A couple of my friends and i stayed here for new years. it was a lot of space, very secluded. the beds were very comfy. The hot tub could’ve used a little more chemicals the water was a little green but still usable. Overall very good stay!
