Nothing….
Absolutely disgraceful

Location was lovely, handy for everything we wanted to do. Fabulous breakfast, and everyone was very welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable.
Room needs a lick of paint, but outside was being done when we arrived, so I suspect this is already in hand.

Court yard chalet, away from pub absolute silence in our room. On bonfire night. We had a pet with bus. A real God send.
What was not to like.

Not alot.
We didn't get breakfast, people where still eating, I ask 3 times but as the, saying goes it fell on deaf ears, he just changed the conversation. So we just walk out, even tho we had paid for breakfast, had to find a cafe. There was very little parking for guests, had to wait a hour till people to move there vehicles.

Converted stables... so quaint
My room was painted that day so had to sleep with window open. Asthmatic so not ideal

The breakfast was very good
On arriving, the room was nowhere near ready. The room was tiny along with a bed that can't have been a double the stale air and heat was unbearable no fans or nothing like this to solve the issue and the pub serving drinks below till 3 in the morning with people arguing screaming and even people staying screaming on in the hotel was pathetic. Kept awake from midnight till 4 in the morning from all the noise of people arguing due to the bar staying open serving drinks till at least 3 avoid this place at all costs wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here keep away!!!!

I was booked in for two nights as part of a bellringing tour in the area. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially at breakfast and accommodating of the large group I was in. My newly refurbished room was clean and very comfortable with a big bathroom.
Some noise at night made it up from the pub below and my room was overlooking the road, meaning traffic noise from the local boy racers did intrude a bit. My ear plugs proved their worth and allowed me a good night's sleep.

Absolutely fantastic hotel set in a traditional style pub. It’s in a lovely location in the centre of Ripon. We went to the races as a group, the rooms were in a gorgeous court yard, the pub served traditional food as well where we enjoyed an evening meal. Every one loved their rooms and were very comfortable. Our stay included breakfast the next day which was lovely, the lady who served us was so friendly and attentive and the chef was top notch. Honestly could not fault our stay there at all as a group of 6, every single one of the group said how lovely it was and all want to visit again for another stay. We’ll definitely all be booking to come back again :-)
Couldn’t fault a thing with this hotel- absolutely loved by all of us <3

Great accommodation, ideal for travelling with a dog, Rooms were around a sunny courtyard with off street parking. Another bonas as in the centre of Ripon.
Breakfast was excellent with very generous portions, and the staff all very friendly.
There was an extra fee of £10 for our dog, but worth it as the room was of a good size to accommodate the dog basket etc.

All the staff were very attentive, rooms were nice and modern and clean

Rooms were very clean and comfy.breakfast was excelent
The rooms were at the top of three flights of stairs .which proved a bit difficult for two of us .probably my fault for not stating two of our party were in their 70s and had difficulty with stairs when i booked

Very nice and welcoming people. We were only there to sleep, really, and it fitted the bill very well. Good beds. Very nice typical English breakfast, with extremely helpful and cheerful staff. No fancy extras, but who needs them? We’d stay there again. Only a very few minutes walk from Ripon Square, where there are lots of restaurants, cafes, and a tapas bar (which is really excellent). Cash point inside Sainsbury’s, which is through, and further through an opening in square, and not well signposted. Ripon is a bit noisy with traffic during day, but much quieter at night, although there seems to be a good social life. Cathedral worth visiting. Fountains Abbey (National Trust) definitely worth the few minutes’ driving, as really beautiful.
The shower in room 2 wasn’t on originally, however, cheerful help was forthcoming immediately I mentioned it. Unfortunately the shower turned out to be either lukewarm when set on low, or red hot/very cold, on high. Fan string needs renewing, as broken, too. But not the end of the world, after all. I’d still go back.

Friendly staff who greeted and served us. Having our own private, clean accommodation in the quaint court yard was lovely.
Fresh sheets and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was fabulous.
The White horse was a short walk from Ripon town centre. Which was perfect. Overall good value for money. Would stay there again.
Like many reviews stated the rooms are very dated and ours had a damp smell from the bathroom.
The blinds were also a major issue, couldn’t open them through the day and didn’t keep the light out in the early hours. We were awake so early.
It’s a shame as like I said all of these issues have been mentioned in previous reviews but nothing has been done.

Location great near centre of Ripon. Breakfast excellent.
Hospitality great made to feel really welcome. Lovely clean and comfortable room.
Nothing. Everything good including the price. Will recommend to friends and return at some point later on in the year.

Everything,
Car park
Close to shops,
Bed lamps ,sockets,
Water and biscuits every day by bed.
great staff,
very clean amd fresh
£60 is the max we can pay and we had a breakfast included.
Blinds can be seen through,
Annoying uncomrehendable person from i guess an agency asking for i think a review or something like that.

The room was warm. The hotel was close to where we were visiting. The breakfast was ok good bacon but the rest was not very appetising. Staff friendly.
The room was in a poor state and needed decorating.. Head boards marked. The handle broke on the wardrobe door. Only one window which was a skylight. Breakfast was ok but burnt sausage and poor scrambled eggs and old mushrooms. The shower was not very powerful if you wanted hot water. Dog mess outside entrance doors. Poor parking. Because it was the weekend we were asked to park in the doctors surgery across the road.
