The location to the town of Stowe is great but that’s about it . The beds are super hard and the place is old . Unfortunately our stay was filled with cob webs and spiders .After a phone call to Vacasa they sent someone right away and even refunded me a cleaning charge so that’s a positive on customer service. The home had that mildew musky smell not too appealing by any means and the dim lighting didn’t help hide the age . The couches definitely need to be updated, the lack of plush cushions make for a sore back and the smell is bad . Maybe a blower and power washer with some basic landscape maintenance will freshen up your first impression with a solid interior cleanup may make the price a bit more palatable . Closet space is near none due to the paint cans , cleaning supplies and all other items in storage for maintenance . So I apologize for the weak score of 2.5 out of 10 on this property but maybe it will entice the owner to invest some money into something that could be a gem in Stowe Vermont.

It was filthy and infested with bugs. We couldn't even stay there. We moved to a hotel. The manager was gracious & is refunding our $

Nice property, secluded, close to town and slopes

No sleep
1am: The people upstairs were banging on doors, walking back and forth overhead....you can hear every footstep. And they did it for hours. The place was fine, but we'll never stay again.

Disappointed
We were disappointed upon arrival to find the odor of pet urine at the property to be so unpleasant that we didn’t stay our second night, and sadly, it was too late for a refund. While relatively clean (although bathroom carpet and fan vent were dirty and shower curtained was stained) the entire condo felt dated and uncomfortable. We were also surprised to find that we had people living above and below us when we thought it was a free standing condo and were kept awake into the morning hours by the neighbors walking above us. A fresh coat of interior wall paint, a new shower curtain, rugs and bedding would be a good start to freshening the place up.

Great property for the price and Location
Very cute property in great location. Home does show it’s age but was very clean and had everything needed. Beautiful views from windows and patio.

Perfect Stowe Getaway
Comfortable and cozy getaway with plenty of room for a family. Great location for exploring the Stowe area, nestled between the village of Stowe and the ski slopes. Perfect for summer hikes and paddling or winter skiing. Unfortunately we didn’t see the bears - maybe next time.

So so
Not far from area attractions. Spacious, having a washer and dryer was nice. Some cooking utencils need to be tossed, burnt on food. Cobwebs and dead bugs on the floors.

Not accurate
Listing says DETACHED unit with this property, which their is a detached one but also an apartment above. The property also stated it accepted dogs, then they changed the policy and expected us to change our family plans. A heads up would have been nice I I could have found a different place to stay instead of having to leave someone behind on a FAMILY vacation. Not for nothing but in the unit it said, “if your dogs are uncomfortable alone someone should stay…” then the person upstairs was going in and out which caused the dogs to bark- that’s what dogs do. Again, I wouldn’t care but the listing ACCEPTED them before we went. The person upstairs also made us super uncomfortable and was looking through the windows at us. We weren’t really able to use the beautiful deck pictured. And they were walking above us at 2:00 AM, which it is their apartment but not at all what was expected based on this listing. That woke up all of us in the middle of the night, the kids were exhausted. So if you have kids that aren’t used to a person walking on hard wood above them, this definitely is not the place for you. The owner no longer is taking dogs (according to the agent I called very upset) so that won’t be an issue. Just not at all the vacation we planned and I would never stay here again even without my dogs

Stowe in the Summer
This apartment was in a convenient location and was very spacious. There are even 2 black bears that come thru the back yard trees after 6pm that are pretty prompt. This apartment provided a great space for my family and I.

Great Place to Stay
Nice Quiet back deck and pet friendly. Good location.

Location is great but the property has a horrible smell.
Location was great but the property had a horrible smell. We bought candles and that helped a little. The property also has 3 other units in the same structure (this is not in the description of the listing) and has a tiny yard which was not ideal since we have 2 little boys. The checking process was super easy and overall we had a good experience.

The overall function worked for our family as far as space and location. We were disappointed that the owners never responded to our concerns about the property using well water and how it was being filtered. We also had to find and install the window screens. Once they were in, it was difficult to open and close the windows. The over is so outdated that the temperature settings were worn off of the knobs.

Great location, and place was perfect!

Nice house
It was a nice house and great location. My only issue was the carpenter ants we had to keep killing.

Worked well for a Weekend getaway
Comfortable apartment. It wasn’t clear to me that there are two other units attached to the unit we stayed in. Wasn’t an issue, but it could be clearer in listing. Great location. Worked well for us for a weekend.

Great place, in a great location, midway between town and skiing. Will return!
In town for final week of ski season, apartment is simple and utilitarian yet perfectly clean with a great open layout. Lots of light, nice view of pond and short distance to everything.

Sleeps 6 comfortably
Great place! Supplies were well stocked - we had enough towels, TP, soap/shampoo, paper towels for our entire stay. Everything was clean and neat. Very welcoming. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Thanks!

Cozy winter escape
We came up to Stowe for a long weekend of snowboarding and couldn’t have loved our rental location more! It was a short few miles away from the mountain as well as very close to downtown Stowe. The apartment itself was lovely, very spacious open kitchen plenty of space for us and our dogs! Had a wood-burning fireplace which was awesome to come home to after a chilly day on the mountain. I would absolutely recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again!

Great spot!
Great little apartment that has everything you need for a ski getaway and it's 5 mins from the mountain, can't do much better than that!

Great location perfect for family
This was very convenient for skiing at Stowe. Ample space for a family of five. Clean and had everything we needed.

Nice place for ski trip
easy place to stay for skiing at Stowe. The fireplace was particularly nice. The parking was a bit confusing as the VRBO parking was less clear than the longterm stay, but we figured it out.

stowe rental
The property was in a perfect location. It was very clean and comfortable. there were a few issues. The windows are all sealed shut. i feel this is a fire hazard and overall not a good thing. Why anyone would do that i don't know. There was also no mention that this property has about 4 rentals in it, apparently some long term and a couple short. it was louder than a private house. This should definitely be mentioned. There was no wood or kinderling for the fireplace. The stove also needs new knobs. You can not read the temperature setting at all.

Great Location!
Great location for this house! Close to lots of things to do In Stowe, nice walking/hiking trails near by. The deck is great for enjoying morning coffee! Loved that I could bring my dog! The listing is a little confusing: there are 3 or 4 apartments in this house, and there were neighbors above us. We were not expecting that...all other apartments are long-term rentals, so there is almost always someone else on the property.

Good location, had the basics
Good location, had a nice back yard space and deck for our dog. The place had all the basics. The beds were very firm and the linens were a bit scratchy. Unfortunately the extra towel closet had clearly had some visitors and were unusable when we wanted to go swimming at the falls. Otherwise very clean.
Tons of extra pillows and blankets. Does not have a hair dryer so bring your own!
Like other comments, you should know there is another unit above (as well as across) so you will probably hear people walking in the unit above. If you have a dog, they may react (like ours) to the noises.
