It was clean and safe.
The owner wasn’t responsive, I needed some help , I did not get any answer.
No hair dryer, I was lucky I had a styler and used that to dry my hair.
No electric adaptor in the apartment, if you are out of UK you can’t charge your phone, unless you buy one.

The property itself was ok, very clean and tidy
I paid for parking and was told that there is a ÂŁ50 holding deposit- which will be refunded after my stay. However it has been over 3 weeks and there has been no refund issued/ no contact from the abbot to refund the deposit after several inquiries

Not good enough
Standing 30minutes try to get in to room because the electronic touch screen was playing up. And it happened everyday

I think it would be great to add a mirror in the apartment. There is none other than in the bathroom.

2 bedroom apartment, cheaper than we could get a hotel so went with it. Great size. Great shower. Very comfy residence
Didn't get the carpark information until after we'd messaged and phoned on arrival, then took 40 mins to get in, through various keypad failures, quite farcical as there was a keybox available, if only they'd given us the number. Got bedbug bites the second night, upon moving rooms. Sadly, wouldn't stay again

Very clean and comfortable. I had three excellent nights of sleep on the extremely comfortable beds. The kitchen was very well stocked with kitchen utensils
The shower was nice but the shower head pressure was a little uncomfortable

Clean, close the supermarket, close to the center. Comfortable sleeping.
Missing coat hook and some hook for towels in the bathroom, 4 beds but just 2 chairs in living room. Kitchen missing basic things like salt, pepper, oil.

The apartment was beautifully clean and very comfortable. The proximity to the park, cathedral and town was absolutely brilliant - 5 stars highly recommend!

nice cozy space
there was only one way to get inside the building for us and as we had a pregnant lady, it was very, very hard for her to go up and down the stairs several time a day, when there was a door literally next to our flats. But no key fob or access code provided. Very inconvenient from this point of view.

lovely clean rooms ..very quiet and very secure
only downside was oven and hob instructions were not very clear so unable to use ..the same for heating instructions ..so property was quite cold

the room was very big and felt like an apartment
when I arrived to abbot house I received an email about how to manage. the email was too long to understand what I’m supposed to do, very confusing and if I didn’t get help from people around I would’ve get into my room. no Receptionist, the phone number for customer service is only for a UK number. I got into the room with help from people passing by, when I got to my room there was somebody else’s luggage in there. it took the customer service an hour to help me out. was a horrible experience. never coming back and highly not recommend.

Good location and comfort
Access was complicated and did not work.
1.5 / 5.0
The location was good, with just a 5 minute walk into the centre of St. Albans. Cleanliness was tip top.
My stay was not a particularly good experience. Here's why:
1. The parking is bureaucratic. You have to pay even for guests, and have to pay separately with an invoicing system. God forbid if you want to allow a guest, which costs more.
2. The heating is so complex that it’s difficult to work out how to reduce the Sahara-like temperature.
3. The cooker - albeit modern - needs a degree in astrophysics to get it to turn on. There are no decent instructions, just a basic how-to in the "property manual" which just made things worse.
4. Although the furniture is modern, it’s a bit low quality. Wardrobe slams and shakes.
5. The front door didn’t accept the electronic keyfob, so I had to enter the 8-digit code every time I returned to the apartment.
6. Opening the window to let in air (to reduce the temperature) also lets in what seems like 100 decibels of traffic noise, thanks to its location on a busy road. It can sound like Daytona outside during rush hour.
7. There's no toilet roll holder in the bathroom.
8. As soon as you check in and settle, you're sent a check out email which warns you that you risk financial penalties if you fail to vacate by 10am. And every time you leave the apartment you can’t help but read a sign that threatens an unauthorised late checkout fine of £150 (minimum) if you don't leave by the allocated time slot.
9. The walls are quite thin, so you can hear conversations in adjacent apartments fairly easily.
10. The Internet showed less than 1mbps download speed, meaning it's almost impossible to watch anything on the TV. Oh, and there's no live TV, for some strange reason.
11. If you have a query, you have to wait until the next day to talk to someone. Customer services just make you feel like you're there to take cash from your wallet. Any interactions with the team had a passive-aggressive feel. There is very little “customer care”, and the whole experience feels cold and impersonal.

Breakfast N/A.
Location perfect for our requirements..adjacent to the park and within walking distance of the city and bus routes to our relations. Numerous shops and supermarkets adjacent. The shower was great and the washing machine a bonus.
Poor prior information: having paid for the stay, we decided on an unbooked free space, as per your details. No car parking information was provided. The help line proved frustratingly unhelpful; Flying Butler has the details; I hope no charge has been made! Information in booklet was inside the apartment, found AFTER our arrival. No plug socket for the microwave.Heating uncontrollable, despite info. TV operated by Amozon Firestick or Virgin device only.

The location was good.
The booking procedure seemed quite long winded. Information emails could have consolidated onto one email.
It would have been helpful to book the parking with the room booking.
Entry into the car park wasnt straightforward but our issue with someone else parking in our allocated space was addressed promptly. Thank you.
The room was advertised for 4 people but only 3 chairs provided for the table.
Mirrors in the bedrooms would have been appreciated along with a bedside table and light on both sides of the bed.
Also, the bin lid was broken in the kitchen area.
