About this cabin rental
Come stay at the lake! Our cabin is nestled in the timbers with a walking path down to the water. Located just minutes from the swimming beach, boat ramp, state park, and in-season cafe on the water. It's the perfect place to sit on the deck in the mornings for coffee - afternoons for laying out - and evening dinners with your glass of wine and closest friends or family.
There are 3 Master Suites - one on each level, each with a queen bed and attached bath.
The loft space features 3 single built in beds that are a cabin favorite.
The finished walk-out basement is home to a common space with a fooseball table, shuffleboard table, card table, sitting area with TV, wet bar with mini fridge, and 4 built in bunks. There is also a bathroom in the basement
I will be messaging you the morning of your stay with your code to get into the house as well as a few house rules. We have a Welcome Book inside the cabin with more detailed rules, places to eat/see/do, & any other pertinent information that may be useful to you during your stay.
We have one camera outside capturing the parking area. This is to ensure the safety of both the guests and property. It will be on 24 hours a day.

12 men, aged 23-77 stayed here for 3 nights and loved the set up. Big house with nice furniture and plenty of outdoor space as well. Very clean, kitchen was well stocked. No neighbors close by on either side and backs up to the lake for a ton of privacy. Will definitely be back.

The cabin was beautiful! Everything you need for a great stay! We had some bad luck with Mother Nature with tornado warnings and lightning striking the cabin, causing a long restless night and loss of some power and no water! The host were quick to respond and got us moved to their other location that was able to also meet all of our needs. Definitely a vacation we will never forget!

We needed to rent a place at the lake that accommodated our family (12+) for our daughters wedding. This “ cabin” was the perfect place. Beautiful inside and out with a great view of the lake. The only negative thing I could say is no WI-FI. We would definitely recommend this place!

I booked this cabin so 4 of my grown children and 8 of my 11 grandchildren could stay together to attend a family reunion in Preston MO. My moms family is from the area and Pomme de Terre is a staple in our lives. It was a joy to be able to stay together and the cabin did not disappoint!

The cabin was as advertised and our family enjoyed our short stay in the Timber Cove Cabin. Overall, we enjoyed the views, the small walk to the lakeshore and being centrally located on the lake. We would stay there again.
A couple of things that weren't the best, but were overcome-able:
First, despite there being a water filtration system, the water does have a slight sulfur smell and taste to it. We had no problem taking showers and what not, but drinking water out of the tap was a bit of a challenge. We ended up getting some bottled water to drink and that solved that issue.
Secondly, we knew coming in there was no internet, which we were prepared for, but cell phone reception is also very weak if not non-existent at the cabin. Which can be a good or bad thing depending on the purpose of your stay.
As mentioned above, none of this would stop us from staying there again, just keep those tips in mind if/when you decide to stay here. Safe travels!

My adult children and I had a great time at this house, it was perfect.

House was great. Plenty of room for everyone. Kids loved the basement. Nice path to the lake.

Booked Timber Cove Cabin for my wife's 60th Birthday. She spent her Summers at Pomme since she was 5 years old. Wanted something special for this occasion...Timber Cove did not disappoint! Secluded location, great view and super clean with great amenities. You won't go wrong with this property!

I grew up less than a half mile away from this cabin so I knew the area. The cabin is easy to find, clean, beautiful, comfortable and the host was great to work with! My party of 8 will definitely be back!!

This house is just beautiful! There were 12 of us ranging in age from 3 to 65 and we were all very comfortable! The kids took over the basement and had a ball with the games. Adults loved the layout of the house and the wraparound deck. We sat out the one afternoon it rained and took naps in the comfy chairs. Access to the lake was easy and it’s a nice cove for swimming. There’s a nice gas grill and well stocked kitchen. Bathrooms and bedrooms are huge!
We drove to Ha Ha Tonka one day and into Springfield one day and both were easy drives. The beach is right around the corner and really nice. We had a fun family vacation, and would definitely stay here again

First impression was awesome place and location. Not much to complain about. Cleanliness could be steeped up. Poop on the outside toilet, fridge horrible etc. Etc. Main issue.... Way to loud when people are walking on the top floor. Suggestion, top floor people need to be in bed before the lower-level folks go to bed. Can't describe the volume of cracking the floor sounds like impossible to sleep or even go to sleep when people are walking around.
Having said that we all loved the place very much. !!!!!
Just one more suggestion, maybe an outside sail would be better than a small umbrella.

Pretty place.

Beautiful wooded location.
Inside of cabin clean.
Immediate outside of cabin, deck, patio, doors, windows needs cleaning badly.
Outside grill is completely destroyed, rusted through and un-usable.
Water odor is terrible, one family member would not use shower due odor of sulfur.

Just took a weekend getaway at this incredible cabin with some friends. Spent most of our time hiking and enjoying the outdoors but the time we did spend inside the cabin was a great experience!

We were very impressed with the property. We did end up hosting a dinner for the whole family and easily fit all of us in there comfortably! Would definitely recommend to others and if ever staying up in the area again we would define rent again!

The cabin was beautiful and the perfect size for all of us. We had a beautiful snowy welcome and ended the week with almost 70 degree perfect cornhole weather! Communication with the owner was great and responded immediately to any questions we had. There are a lot of stairs so be prepared!

The cabin and grounds are gorgeous and unique, and we had a wonderful time! We had 9 adults and had plenty of space for all of us to feel comfortable. Check in and out was a breeze, and we are already discussing coming back next summer!
Two things to note: we brought multiple large jugs of drinking water as the tap does have a sulfer smell, and the cell reception is spotty with no wifi. We actually enjoyed this element of being off the grid - but be sure to download your music playlists to play offline ahead of time if you are music lovers like us!

My family and I had a wonderful time. Property was clean. We did find empty soda bottles under the bed upstairs. Just needed a deep cleaning overall. Hair in bathroom drawers downstairs. Little things like that we would find. But overall I would still stay there again and even recommend.

The house was really nice. We loved the setting and the style of the house. There was plenty of room and lots of privacy. It would of been a perfect weekend if the water hadn’t of smelled so bad that you couldn’t even stand to shower. One of the girls had to go home sick because of the smell and sulfer in the water.

This cabin is amazing!! My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay. There were 4 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 18 months to 12 years. Everyone was comfortable and entertained. There was plenty of room for all of us and even an extra bedroom. The amenities were perfect. We saw some wildlife and even had a daily visitor on the porch, a turtle. We saw deer by the lake as we were swimming too!! The kids loved being able to walk to the lake and swim. And the adults enjoyed not having to pack everyone up and go somewhere. We also enjoyed the fact that no other houses could be seen from the cabin. It was nice and private. The owners were very attentive to our needs and responded to all communication within minutes. We have already discussed a return trip!! We highly recommend this cabin.

Excellent cabin with lots of county charm. We had a mix of ages that all enjoyed the place. Games and movies for all ages provided. A short walk down to the lake revealed a nice pea gravel shoreline inside a very quiet and secluded deep water cove. We anchored our boat all week; never having to trailer it was a nice perk. The cabin was very efficient, we were there in over 100° heat with kids and adults in/out all day long and the A/C had no troubles keeping nice and cold! The drawback we found, was the lack of a dishwasher. We recommend bringing lots of paper plates and such to avoid spending your vacation cleaning dishes.

I booked this cabin for a vacation with my significant other, my two children and their spouses, and my 5 grandchildren. Everyone had a great time. A beautiful cabin.

Beautiful property. Clean. We’ll kept. Very comfortable space. It met all our needs and desires for a family getaway. The tall trees make it feel very private and secluded, yet access to store, restaurants and lake is quick and easy. This was my second stay at this property and I’m sure I’ll be back again!

Pittsburgh cabin
Beautiful property on the lake with easy access to the water! The cabin is open and spacious with plenty of room! We really enjoyed our relaxing weekend!!

The house was clean, comfortable. No wi-fi, cell service was unreliable. Outside decks were dirty.
Inside the house was wonderful except for no wifi and cell service was only attainable outside or in the upstairs bathroom which was unfortunate as it made communication nearly impossible, especially in case of emergency. The outside of the property could use some attention, the 2 decks/porches were very dirty, could use a spraying for ticks as they were everywhere on the deck. The lake access was misleading, our kids wanted to fish but there wasn't a spot that would work, especially with the overgrowth.

Great Lake Getaway
We enjoyed this cabin. We had several different families traveling together. Having a bed/bath combo on each floor was so helpful. We could have our separate spaces and get together on the main floor. Great deck and lake view!

We headed down at the end of October from St. Louis. It was the perfect distance to a cozy cabin on the lake. The drive to and from, as well as the land surrounding the cabin, were blasting in full fall colors. The cabin was a great size for our two families. All of the rooms allowed us to spread out and the kids to play while the adults enjoyed the fireplace. We were actually able to have adult conversation without interruption. The park next door offered a great place to let the kids play on playground equipment and the marina was having its end of year festival. Such a fun little getaway that we will be sure to book again. Thanks for such a perfect weekend getaway.

Had a blast being able to stay with the whole family under 1 roof! Will definitely stay again.

Quiet, remote, technology free, yet close enough to town to run errands. Do suggest adding a motion light out by the cars for clients to get around without injury. Enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to use again.
