This house was great for a large group. We were 3 families with teenagers. Plenty of space for all to spread out. Our favorite part of the home was the location across from the park at the tip of Wapato. This home is technically not waterfront but is just as good as waterfront having a small park and buoys across the street. I believe they have added pots and pans to the kitchen as this was not a problem for us like previous reviewers. The kitchen is well stocked. Our only issue is that the house cleaners did not restock toilet paper in the master bedroom or restock garbage bags in the kitchen, we purchased these items ourselves. We definitely recommend this home for a fun week at Wapato Point.

Without a doubt, the highpoint of this property is its location - not only that it's on Wapato Point but it's location on Wapato Point itself - we loved it!
I use the term "potential" to highlight a couple of areas where I thought the house could be better set up. First, the main floor bathroom is very small - the toilet's close proximity to the shower makes it difficult for an adult. I would suggest turning both main floor bedrooms into kids rooms (ie bunk beds) and move the third adult bedroom downstairs, where there's a much bigger bathroom.
The two portable air conditioners were absolutely critical for the upstairs bedrooms yet there were no instructions for use as well as no way to operate them without opening up the entire window to let out the exhaust. Change the design of the window such that it "lifts up" and make a wooden casing around the exhaust hose so that the window can be closed.
It was disappointing that the garage was unuseable due to stuff that was stored there - we stayed in another Wapato Point location where the garage was fully available to us - that was nice.
Finally, things like broken panels on both deck benches as well as the major safety issue of no railing for the concrete steps (three generation s of people were staying in the home) all gave the indication of lazy ownership. The property can be absolutely wonderful if these attention to detail items are addressed.

Lovely rental home with great amenities but I should have read the reviews before booking. For the price, the home really needs a few upgrades including pots and pans (bad quality, hard to cook on) and a cutting board (all 12 of us could not find it) the checkout list was doable but a bit excessive - luckily we didn’t stay on a Wednesday, having to roll those huge cans down that steep hill feels like your not a guest paying thousands of dollars for a rental in a lake front resort... also the water heater in the master bedroom is so loud it’s criminal. The host was nice and responsive though, hopefully will consider some feedback that’s been repeated a few times.

It was great!

Great house and layout for all to enjoy. Well stocked but frying pans are old so we bought one at Walmart. Lots of dishes, glasses and silverware and basic cooking/baking products which were nice. Could use some new sharp cutting knives. House was clean.
It would be great if there was a handrail going down to outside backyard. Those stairs are steep and narrow.

Firstly, a main water line burst so I received notification the day of checkin that there would be no water until the following afternoon. These things happen and while not ideal we were refunded one night in compensation and offered help in finding other homes to book instead. The upstairs master bathroom never ended up working even after the fix. Luckily we had multiple homes rented and just housed the impacted people elsewhere for a night and day. The odd thing was all the request from management - go turn off water heater, then perform tasks after it's fixed (flushing and running things) to help pipes settle and then bring in shipments that arrived later (massive boxes that required multiple people to lift) inside for the owner. Very odd - I felt less like a paying guest (thousands of dollars) and more like a friend staying for free. This water break meant we had to get creative and relocate for entire first day and night and the following morning/afternoon. We had planned to host a family dinner gathering there but had to end up moving to a different house due to all the uncertainty and issues. On top of this the home is very outdated in comparison to the other homes we rented on the point. Won't be staying at this location again, but highly recommend Wapato point.

Excellent location for our family get together.

It was a nice house but there definitely could be improved. When plugging something into the outlet it would fall out on almost all plugs especially upstairs. The window wheels to open and close the windows were broken. The beach was nice but for the amount of money, would have been nice for them to clean up the poop from geese. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and kitchen needs. Beds were comfortable! Hot tub wasn’t really hot more like warm. Kiosk on property was great to rent kayaks.

We had a great time at the house. It was in a perfect location. Very close to the lake and we had our own little access. The house was large enough to fit all of us girls. The location was quiet and beautiful. We had a great time. I'm a plan to stay at this house with my family in the future.

House has definitely improved over last year. More dishes and silverware but cutting boards are cheap worn out plastic and frying pan should be tossed. Appreciate replacement of furniture.
The hot tub ran constantly and was at 105.
For the price, I expect a little more...
The staff is very responsive.

Nice place to relax for a few days
Not much happening here in the winter, but that's what we wanted was a quiet couple of days. Community pool was great for the kids and the location was very pretty. Probably the most comfortable mattress we've had at any vacation rental. We would definitely go back.

Great experience. Nice house in a very nice location.

Nice place close to the beach on the point.
We have been staying at Wapato Point for decades now (literally). The home we rented for many years on the point is no longer available so we decided to try this property, primarily due to its size and location. It worked well for our group of 9 (3 generations). Our only constructive criticisms are that they need more silverware and dishes, and it would be nice to have a working ice maker in the fridge. We will be bringing some of our own next time . . . . They also had a broken irrigation pipe that would flood the side and patio area when it went off - hopefully that is being fixed.

Good Overall - Could use upgrades
The location of the house is wonderful - close to the division II beach. The house was clean and seemed to be well maintained except for all the bugs on the exterior - needs a good sweep! The bedroom layout worked well for our group and we loved the main living area as it was super open and great for a large group. The kitchen amenities were lacking - not enough forks or spoons, only 2 small wine glasses, and a coffee maker that definitely needs an upgrade! The barbeque has seen better days and could use an upgrade as well. Overall it was a nice house and I would stay there again, but they made a few minor changes.

Great location, love the house in Wapato point
The property is in a fantastic location right across from the lake. easy to walk to Manson or the Lake Chelan winery. This is our second time staying there and we love it. We will stay here again next year!

Enjoyed the location, but...
You generally can't go wrong staying at these Wapato properties. However, this home was lacking in some fundamental necessities you expect for the price you are paying. There was just an overall sense of cheapness with this home. Examples include only having 3 wine glasses and a hodge-podge of other random glassware. We had 9 adults that drink wine/cocktails, so this was annoying. Also, there was just 12 forks and 11 plates, so we were constantly having to wash them to have enough for each meal. Not having a functional icemaker or a second regular size fridge/freezer available like other homes we've stayed at in Wapato. We had 12 people with lots of food, beverages, etc., but not enough room for it all. The cabinet space is very limited and there is no pantry, so bags of food had to sit on the counters or the floor in the kitchen. Likewise, there was no storage in the single car garage as there was old furniture and supplies taking up all the space. Another issue was the lack of bathroom towels, boxes of tissues, tide pods and other fundamental sundries. We were doing laundry everyday just so we could all have a clean towel for our showers. This is all stuff that is pretty easy to fix, and not that expensive, so hopefully they will act on our feedback.

Nice Property
We stayed three nights in this home. Well stocked kitchen and ample room for our family. The neighborhood is beautiful and it would be easy access to the water in the summer for lake fun. The only suggestion we have for the owner/managers is to add an area rug in the livingroom. The tile is pretty, but cold. It would help to warm the area, and the toes. Thanks for letting us stay!

Golf and wine weekend
Perfect house for five couples. Guys went golfing, girls went wine tasting. Everyone had their own space, but great common areas, too. Easy check in and out, and the house had everything we needed for meals. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Family gathering
The layout and location of the home worked great for our family, each having private bedroom space and open spaces to gather. It was very warm while we were there and the air conditioning had a hard time keeping up but that was a minor issue. We would come here again!

Good property but some problems
This property had good space and amenities, and a well stocked kitchen. The local agent was very good, and the place seemed to be quite clean and Covid sanitary. However, the AC did not work well. It stopped altogether until restarted manually and did not keep the two upstairs bathrooms comfortable for sleep. The hot tub also failed in a way that could have scalded someone. There was little shade on the deck during the day. There was very little information about how in the heck the TV worked or whether we had access to the swimming pool. Still, we had a good time and that is what we wanted.
