Elgel Hotel and Spa review

We were really pleased with our stay at the Elgel Hotel and Spa as it is a very nice hotel, modern and with all the facilities needed. The staff was really helpful and courteous. The location of the hotel is great, especially the shower was the best shower we have ever had, it is highly recommendable

They should provide soft food like cereals for people from outside the country, their breakfast is proper hard food as if one is eating lunch

Обычный уставший отель с хорошим персоналом. Не очень чисто, но по эфиопским меркам, думаю - нормально. Таракан в номере был всего один :) . Это один из трёх отелей в Аддис-Абебе с трехразовым питанием и бассейном, который в дни нашего посещения, к сожалению не работал.

1. Цена. Это не стоит 120 долларов 2. Чистота + еда. + плюс странно, что при системе FB положенно только 2 пол-литровые бутылки воды в день. Короче много странного за 120 долларов, особенно по текущему курсу :)

Pleasent. Cute and Convinient.

The Staff were amazing The Gym Facility was good. Some machines needs to be reparied. They even have a SPA The net was good. They had netflix. But you need to use your own credentials. The room was lovely with an amazing view. The location is not central, but perfect and quite, especially at night The food was not bad. Acceptable. The laundy serivce was very fast.

The breakfast option. I wish they added more variety. They Gym, few cycling and walking treadmils needs to get fixed. Location is good, if you wan a quite area. BUT IT IS NOT City Center area. The price. I will Value the place to 35$ max and not 50$.

Very pleasant and nice service in the restaurant - big generous breckfasts also

Impressed that whe I compalined they just got on with finding a new room and no fuss was made The manager was especially impressive and polite and helpful - they arranged transport and cars when needed also They went over and above what was expected We had a civil unrest issue for a few days and they put on extra security at the door which was reassuring

my first room was awful as the windows did not shut properly and I was attacked by mosquitos all night The bathroom was tiny and squeezed in The door did not lock the Lights were not working properly with the key card The room I moved to was much better but quite noisy as the walls have no soundproofing and the man next door was having a 2 hr row with someone!Staff were super fiendly and helpful esp when I complained they just found me. different room no issues

I had an excellent experience at the hotel and would highly recommend it to others.

We recently stayed at the ELGEL hotel and were incredibly impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff went above and beyond to ensure we have a comfortable stay. They were always available to answer any questions we had and offered great recommendations for local attractions. The housekeeping staff was also incredibly friendly and ensured that our room was always clean and well-stocked. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for friendly and attentive staff.

Our room had no exhaust fan! I am not sure if other rooms have the same design, but it's not a big deal!

No point in booking online because the price is completely different when you get to the hotel.

I like the hotel, it a very nice luxurious looking hotel and the restaurant and cleaning crew are very good.

I booked on booking.com it had a pay at the property option and went to the hotel to pay only to be informed that it wasn't allowed to pay at the property. They insisted i pay with the rate at the hotel which is double the price i saw on booking.com or pay online using a master card. This is a 1st for me because i have booked on this app and payed at the property at different hotels. The duvet covers also had stains on it and the response was that they were out of chemicals to remove the stains so all the covers are like that.

Not a place I can recommend, bad service and food, no hot water to shower

Pleasant ambience and design, the swimming pool and spa were clean and nice, but there was no air condition in the room, even if it said so! The food choice was pretty limited, as most of the items on their menu were not even available! Even worse, they could not manage to prepare simple chicken wings, first they were not even available, then when we gave up and ordered just plain potato chips, which were awful too, the kitchen chef personally showed up with the chicken wings - after three hours!!! The airport shuttle was a similar desaster, it was more than one hour late. Unfortunately not a place to recommend, even though the building itself was nice, the service and food were not good at all, sorry. And to top it off, threre was NO hot water in the shower!!!

Wonderful staff, great amenities, and good food. Beware that there is no A/C.

The bathroom flooded during a flash storm. They quickly cleaned it up, but might be worthwhile to invest in a new roof and increase the cost of the room.

Not too bad but some improvements required

Staff at the hotel were good although the people at the reception were somehow slow. The shuttle bus performance was disastrous. I waited 2bhours and more at the airport for the shuttle to arrive.

Shuttle service so so late Breakfast not enough fruits The noise (music) for the whole day and part of the night on the day of my arrival on Saturday.

Very nice and modern hotel

New and stylish hotel. Clean modern and very comfortable. Staff is very helpfull.

Its very loud if the room is oposite to the street. Make sure you get room to forest side. Sauna and swimming pool are smal and used by many walking guests. A bit far from city.
