Wonderful stay. Everything was nice, clean, new. Great location. Great stay

The cabin really exceeded our expectations and I think it was due to Gina's thoughtfulness. The creature comforts you nornally forgo at an short term rental was completley covered at the cabin. Items were thoughfully labled, provided, or explained in the welcome binder-you'll understand when you stay. READ THE BINDER!! It is a wealth of important information and history of the property and the forest fire of 2020. We were 4 adults and 2 kiddos ranging in age from 78 to 5 and all of us had sufficient space. The AC was wonderful. We used the outdoor space as well-grill and fire pit. The back deck was super spacious. The cabin feels like a brand new property. There are many outdoor activities around. We hiked, boated, fished, and swam. Detroit is a beautiful place. Refer to the cabin binder for suggested hikes and places of interest. BOOK THIS CABIN--WE LOVED IT!!

We loved this little cabin! It’s small but mighty. Everything you need to be comfortable and close to fun. We had a long fun day on the lake then retreated to the firepit area for s’mores and laughs. It’s located in a very friendly community, lots of waves and hellos from an impressive fleet of ATV’s 😎 We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful wood cabin! Perfect for our family of four. Glad to see Detroit being rebuilt. Bring paper plates and cups, unless you like doing dishes. :)

The Den is just as advertised... very well stocked with all our needs. Plenty of parking off street, recycling containers were a plus! The showers are perfect with plenty of hot water, and a washer & dryer that work perfectly.
Clean and quiet, comfortable furniture & beds!
Lots of games and puzzles and a TV in each bedroom and the living room. The wood stairs and ceiling are stunning! It even has USB slots in many of the AC outlets!
The best VrBO we have ever stayed in! We will be back!

This was a lovely little cabin with many perks while we tried our hand at fishing Detroit Lake. Great parking for our boat! Gina was awesome in communicating!

Great rental experience from start to finish (and then some)! The owner, Gina, provided check-in information in advance, and I had a few questions, which she answered quickly. The cabin was really perfect — sized right, well-equipped, and very clean & tidy! We inadvertently left some items behind, and Gina not only confirmed they were found, but also made arrangements to deliver them personally! We highly recommend this cabin for your getaway; we’ll surely be back.

We loved our star here! Thus cabin had so many thoughtful touches, was so accommodating, well stocked, generous amenities, everything was labeled for easy access and clean up. We had access to cornhole, ladder golf and the side lot lawn to play which was really nice. The location was perfect and close to everything. We will definitely be coming back hopefully again before summer is over.

The two beds in the loft and the main bedroom downstairs was perfect for our family. It’s a very old home with a nice pellet stove. The owners supply just about everything you need for cooking and cleaning and everything. It was a great place to come ‘home’ to after a day on the lake. We were able to meet the owners as well. Very friendly and very professional folks! We highly recommend this home for your vacation in Detroit Lake!

Everything we needed was available! Quiet neighborhood. We don't enjoy sleeping on the ground, so when our adult children invite us to camp, we look for something closeby. This fit the bill. The owner was easy to contact and easy to work with.
