About this house rental

This home will not disappoint as we take great pride in cleanliness and that cozy "at home" feeling. The decor is a northern woods theme with calm lighting and a relaxing atmosphere. Whether you are staying to bike the trails found just 1/2 mile down the road at the rally center, 4 blocks from the Galloping Goose bike trail or are here on business, this home is sure to provide you with luxury comfort beds and all the amenities of home. This unit features 2 bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each room. The unit located next door will be opening July 23rd 2022 featuring 2 bedrooms (1 room 2 twin beds, 1 room king sized bed)so book both units while traveling with friends. This space has a calming fireplace along with a large locked storage closet to lock up your bikes or anything you want. The neighbors and neighborhood are friendly and quiet and this space allows you to drive right up to the front door and start unloading. This home is located 20 minutes from the Brainerd Airport, 2 miles from main street Crosby and of course right around the corner from the bike trails. Bring the family to see Paul Bunyan Land and water park for a fun summer adventure located 25 minutes away! Take a little time to golf at Cuyuna Rolling Hills golf course only 15 minutes away or play a little pickle ball 3 blocks away. There is really so much to do here and we are here to help get you started on those fun friends and family adventures. Don't feel like hauling all your gear? This is such a great property! So clean and well kept. It had everything that we needed. Came up to visit family for the holiday with our 15 month old son. It was a wonderful place for all of us to stay. So cozy and comfortable for everyone! We will definitely look to stay here again whenever we come into town!

We’ve Stayed here the past few years each fall coming up to ride the mountain bike trails! It’s a great location close enough to the trails to run in for lunch. There are also restaurants within walking distance which is nice! The owner is very timely in response to messages and questions!

Property is well maintained and clean with new carpet and comfortable beds! Well stocked kitchen with needed supplies. Secured indoor storage for bikes was a great addition!! Great location to trail head being only minutes away!!

Stayed while my son was at Heartland Hockey Camp, and it worked perfectly for us. It is a very large 2BR unit that is only a short drive from camp, and 2 minutes from downtown Crosby. Owner/manager was very nice and helpful.

My brothers and I were in the area for races in Brainerd. House worked great for what we needed. House was clean and well equipped. Nothing super fancy, but certainly a nice property. I would recommend this house.

We stayed here for a family vacation with young children. The main room was spacious enough to have separate play areas. The carpet was super clean and our baby LOVED rolling around like crazy on it. There were USB bricks and universal charging cables provided. Wi-Fi worked great. There was plenty of counter space for cleaning bottles and breast pump parts. The were rags provided for bike cleaning and a safe place to store bikes. There were multiple amazing playgrounds within walking distance and plenty of fun shops and restaurants within walking distance as well. The host warned us about possible bike trail closures and was easy to communicate with. My only regret is not staying longer!

Great house! Bigger than photos suggest! Owner was very helpful/quick when we couldn’t figure out the tv remote! Beds are comfy. Bathroom is good size for 4 adults. Kitchen table great for cards and has leaves if you want to have folks over to eat. We had a lovely visit for nephews wedding at Red Rider Resort.

For some context, please know that I am a person that pays attention to detail and I am pretty sensitive to odor. The location relative to the things we wanted to do was great. The property description is very near to the narrative. My family stay was very good and this property did what we needed it to do. Some of the amenity specifics in the check-in email are slightly different to the communication at the property, but nothing obstructive. The two (only) problems we had were (1) the inside temperature and (2) the smell of the rooms. The small window air conditioner needs to be checked and its filter cleaned. It could not keep up with cooling needs if the windows are closed. If one decides to open the windows (for the cool nights), the next issue is how very loud this small part of town is. The property is half a block from a heavily used road and the vehicles on it are not quiet and surprisingly consistent throughout the night (we were there on a Sunday and Monday night). I don't quite understand why there were so many motorcycles. Perhaps just our bad luck. The other problem was that the rooms had a smell reminiscent of either body odor or the result of a former smoker. While it is clear that the property is meant to be non-smoking, the smoke smell may be from the attached neighbors or perhaps from a previous tenant. The neighbors are quiet and friendly, so that was great. Overall, the property appeared clean and we had a good time, just not 5 star. Thank you for the stay.

We stayed here while our son attended a hockey camp in Deerwood and it worked perfectly for the 4 of us. It was only a 10 min drive to drop him off and bring him dinner. We also drove into Brainerd and Baxter almost daily. There wasn't really any hand soap available but we just picked some up. I'm sure had we worried enough to contact Katie she would have gotten some to us anyway. We will absolutely stay again if our son goes back to camp! It was cozy but plenty big for the 4 of us. Not to mention having a kitchen and laundry available. The price was even better than staying at a hotel which would not have been nearly as nice and comfortable. 5 stars hands down!

My husband and son, along with 2 friends, went to Cuyuna biking. Super convenient location and the house was perfect for them. Comfortable and all of the amenities they needed. Kate was a great host and was extremely responsive to questions they had. They will be back!

We were in town for a family reunion and this property was everything we expected and more. The unit was very clean, quiet, and well stocked with all the kitchen necessities we needed. It provided a nice and quiet place to return to every night after long days. The owner, Katie, was great to work with and was always very response with any questions we had before and during our stay. Without hesitation, we would reserve this property again!

Great place to stay - hope to return

Check-in was easy and the owner checked in to make sure all was in order for us. Any time before or during the trip, the owner was VERY prompt with answering any questions which is greatly appreciated. The place was very clean and had everything we needed to make a couple meals, play some board games and prepare for the following days events. The storage unit in the basement was awesome to be able to use to store the bikes each night when we returned. The location is perfect to get to the Rally Center and at that point you are set for the day! Crosby continues to evolve and a place we plan to make annual trips to (if not more often.) The ice cream at Victual is a must (also a cool shop) as is the pizza at Rafferty’s. We also rented a SUP on Bay Lake with PowerPaddle and had a great time there, as well. All in all, a perfect get away with the beautiful trails, lakes, towns and friendly people and then to have a great place to return each evening. Thanks, we hope to be back this fall!!
