About this chalet rental
7 bedroom, 6 bathroom (4 ensuites) house, private outdoor hot tub, located at the ski Resort and walking distance to golf course. Very popular with Golf Groups and families visiting the ski resort over the winter. Custom built home and exudes luxury throughout. Lots of games provided for adults and kids. Master Bedroom takes up the whole upper floor, exquisite with a full bathroom, ceramic tiled shower, sitting area with large flat screen TV and King bed. 7 minute, flat walk to ski hill.
This Custom Built house is very large and spacious. It is the only seven bedroom house on Stemwinder Drive and provides both enough space for family and group gatherings, as well as privacy due to the number of private spaces. It consists of 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms (including 4 Ensuites), 2 full kitchens, has a private outdoor hot tub, is located at the base of the Kimberley Alpine Resort and within walking distance to the Trickle Creek Golf Course. There are 12 separate beds, no pullout couches (1 King, 4 Queens and 7 Singles). The property is very popular with and ideal for Multi Family and Generational Family bookings. We cater to family bookings. It is also popular for Golf Group bookings in the summer and of course, skiing/snowboarding in the winter. The house is located in close proximity to all the trail networks Kimberley has to offer, ideal for mountain biking (fat tire biking in the winter), nature walks and hiking. There are a lot of games for both adults and kids including a FoosBall Table, Retro 1980's Arcade Game and a variety of Board Games. Game room is on lower level, just inside from where the outdoor Hot Tub is. There are 2 sets of Washer/Dryer for your laundry needs. The Custom Build exudes luxury throughout. The Master Bedroom takes up the whole upper floor, exquisite with a full bathroom, ceramic tiled shower, sitting area with large flat screen TV and King bed. 5 to 7 minute walk to ski hill.

Bedroom 1 - Master Bedroom (Jack the Bear): 1 King bed, sitting area with large TV. Ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom 2 (Blast Off): Two single beds. Ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom 3 (Mambo): Queen on bottom/Single on top bunk beds + single bed. Ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom 4 (Eureka): Queen bed.
Bedroom 5 (Dreadnaught): Single bed.
Bedroom 6 (Hoots Way): Queen bed on bottom/Single on top bunk beds + single bed.
Bedroom 7 (Stemwinder): Queen bed. Ensuite bathroom.
CLEANING FEES: Please note that we take the cleanliness of the house and hot tub very seriously. The $350 fee is a cost recovery situation and not a profit maker. The houses are very large with many beds and multiple bathrooms. It takes a considerable amount of time to get them cleaned and prepared properly. There is also the cost of getting all the bedding and linen done, cleaning supplies, wear and tear on cleaning machines etc. The hot tub maintenance is also very diligent and the tubs are dumped and cleaned regularly. This is also a substantial cost. If you have any issues with either of these, we urge you to contact the owner immediately and it will be rectified promptly.
CHECK OUT TIME: Although we would like to allow for a later check out time, the houses are large, have many beds and bathrooms and take a long time to clean. It is for this reason we must adhere to a 10 am check out time.
WALKING PATH TO DOWNTOWN KIMBERLEY
Directly behind the house is the "Platzl to Peak" paved trail, a great way to visit Kimberley's downtown Platzl area for shopping and dining. It takes about 12 -15 minutes to walk to town.
You have full access to the entire house and outdoor private hot tub.
I live in the area and am generally able to be at the houses with short notice for emergencies.
The neighborhood, although zoned for tourist accommodation, also has full time residents. If you are planning on coming to Kimberley for a loud, Party Weekend, please do not rent this property as it will not go unnoticed and will need to be dealt with.
The City of Kimberley Noise Bylaw is as follows and applies 24/7 for the duration of your stay. It is taken seriously and enforced, and it reads as follows:
"Noise Bylaw - No person shall cause or make, or permit to be made or caused, any noise in or on a public or private place which disturbs or tends to disturb the quiet, peace, rest, enjoyment, comfort, or convenience of any person or persons in the neighborhood or vicinity."
Quiet Times are 10 pm to 8 am and all outside noise needs to be brought inside the house during these hours.
We also ask that you refrain from having auxiliary speakers on the outside areas as it generally tends to escalate noise that may affect surrounding properties.
If you do not feel that these circumstances will work well for your group, it would be best to consider an alternate property for your stay, however the same Noise Bylaw does apply to all properties at the Resort area.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We have good relations with our neighbors. The neighborhood is a mix of full time residents and vacation rentals. If you are planning on coming to Kimberley for a loud, Party Weekend, please do not rent this property. It will not go unnoticed and will need to be dealt with. The house cannot be rented as part of a larger group/booking combined with other properties, nor be used as a central gathering place for guests not included in the booking specific to this property.
As per City of Kimberley Good Neighbor Bylaw No. 2671, noise from the outside Hot tub and Deck areas must not affect the surrounding property owners' ability to enjoy their space. This applies 24/7 during your stay. Bylaw also states that QUIET TIMES are between 10 pm to 8 am. All outside noise must be brought inside the house during these hours.
DECIBEL MONITORING SYSTEM FOR OUTDOOR AREAS:
The outside Patio and Deck areas of this property are equipped with the Minut decibel monitoring system. These systems are increasingly common in short term rental properties. The system monitors sound levels and occupancy while protecting guests' stay and privacy. This system does NOT record sound or conversation. Guests will be notified remotely if sound levels exceed reasonable sound thresholds and threshold levels are lowered during Quiet Time Hours. For additional security measures, there is a RING video doorbell installed at the front door of the property.
Quiet Time is 10 PM - 8AM. This is a Mandated City Bylaw.

Stayed here 2 years ago as well. Great rental for golf group getaway. Kieran is great to deal with and is very responsive. Even popped by to make sure everything was ok with stay. Will definitely be back!

The property is fantastic. It is a few minutes walk to the ski hill and was very easy to get back and forth. The hottub was great to soak in after a long day of skiing and our teenagers loved the old school arcade game. Keiran was awesome and very helpful with questions we had. We would book again here in a heartbeat.

The house was as described and everything went very well. The hot tub maintenance guy showed up on day 1 and informed us that the tub was to have been drained and re filled a day earlier but hadn't been. So we did have to go 1 day without a hot tub. It was ready by the next day and was very nice after a day of skiing.

We recently stayed at this VRBO in Kimberley with our three adult children and their spouses and children for four nights over Xmas. With many bedrooms, a big kitchen and an extra one, hot tub and closeness to downhill and XC skiing it worked really well. Our host Kieran was really responsive and we felt well supported. Would certainly recommend choosing this location.

The place is as described but the host is ridiculous. Got charged for damage that wasn’t there. Host was upset that we had brought in a fire pit and left some firewood behind. Was told to keep the noise down only to hear the rest of street having a good time. The house is as described but I’d recommend to go elsewhere if you’re coming to have fun

This is a fantastic property for groups / lots of beds and bathrooms. It is a short (2 min) drive to the base of the hill. Having two kitchens gave us lots of space to store food. There’s also a great walking path behind the house. Hot tub was used each day and the bbq worked great too!

We had a large crew enjoy this property for a ski trip to the nearby hill. We all agreed that this was an excellent space to house all of us.
The amenities were top notch and little details like labelling light switches and cabinets helped us immediately be familiar and comfortable with the place. The heated flooring in the basement was a nice touch for hot tub use or drying out gear. There was more than enough dinnerware, cups, utensils and cooking tools to cover us for the meals we prepared.
Kieran was quick to answer any questions we had leading up to the trip and checked in during our stay to make sure we were all set. This was a great place and wouldn't hesitate to come back if our group returns to Kimberley.

We had a wonderful stay with family and friends at this property! We had a group of 10.5 and it fit the whole group very comfortably. Kieran was a wonderful host and very accommodating! We will choose to stay here again when we come back to Kimberly.

The entire experience for this booking was top notch. Before our arrival Kieran responded to multiple questions and they were always prompt and friendly. When we arrived everything was as advertised. The house even felt larger than what we thought from the pictures. Everyone was comfortable and everyone appreciated being so close to the ski hill. The internet seemed to be slow at a few specific times, but that could have been from everyone being on at the same time. Overall this place was awesome, would stay here again for sure!

Our ladies golf group stayed at this property and were impressed with the whole experience. Our host, Kieran, made sure we had all the info and support we needed for our stay. The home was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need. Location is great--close to walking trails, restaurants, golf courses, etc. We enjoyed every minute and look forward to returning for another great holiday.

Twelve of us had a great time. There was space for kids and extended family. The kitchen, deck and living quarters were great for gathering. Keiren responded promptly.

The place was incredible for our golf get away. 7 bedrooms, clean and spacious. We've been going for 5 years to this area, and by far the best place we've stayed. Kieran was fantastic to deal with, not that we had to while we were there, as everything was superb.

Ski Weekend Getaway
Amazing property for me and my friends! Super easy check in and out and very close to the lift. The only thing that would have made our stay better is having the main lift running! Will certainly look at coming back.

The place was awesome for all of our needs. Clean, spacious and tonnes of room for the 8 of us. Could have used a few more cooking utensils, as we cook our own dinners after golf, but was a real minor issue. Hoping Kieran doesn't sell so that we can re-book for next year!!!!

Great family getaway!
This property was great! We stayed alone as a family due to Covid restrictions, but the house is set up perfectly for larger groups, with lots of bathrooms and private spaces. The house was super clean and the location was ideal - in walking distance to the ski hill, trails and the Trickle Creek Golf course. The Owner was very responsive and the only issue we had with the hot tub was fixed within an hour! Highly recommend this property.
