Comfortable beds and a pleasant ownerđđ
Would have preferred a full Irish for breakfast ,but the continental style was fine too for a change , a healthier option

The owner is very lovely woman.
Cottage is full of history.
Cottage is antique.
Living is huge & cosy.
Bathroom is big.
Bedroom is very comfortable.
Joan, Thank you!
Everything was perfect.
4.4
It was very cosy and a lovely quiet place to stay.
4.4
Very friendly service and excellent breakfast with homemade yoghurt. As there is only one guest room you will feel right at home in the cottage.
The bathroom door was unfortunately very loud
4.4
Cute place. Excellent room. Spacious and private. A little cold in the bathroom with no heating and the ventilation was a little loud. Lovely lounge area and dining room. All situated right next to the local pub with modern authentic interior and charming welcoming local folk. Breakfast plentiful and varied.
Note there are no shops or filling stations in this village. So come prepared. The landlady, Joan, is very forthcoming, informative, and helpful.
Bathroom was cold.

Parking off street. Next door to a nice bar.
Was advertised on booking. com as breakfast included but was actually only cereal tea and toast for breakfast. No cooked breakfast. Should have been made clear what type of breakfast was being provided.

Lovely thatched cottage and a friendly host. Continental breakfast was delicious and included pastries, bread, cereal, homemade yoghurt. Great value for money. We stayed for one night, as we were visiting The Donkey Sanctuary
It's an old cottage, so it was a little chilly, even in July. We just turned the themostat up on the radiator and all was good

great quiet located, next to a very nice pub
owner was very nice and made us great breakfast with fresh bread and all!

Beautiful clean room and fantastic hostess
4.4
Lovely host great cottage
Could hear the road from the room

The cottage itself is very nice and comfortable with some period furniture, handy that it has a little pub just beside it. Our host Joan was very nice and welcoming, great healthy breakfast and super comfortable bed. We had a great stay.
Some of the facilities/decor are dated but everything was working perfectly, low ceilings in the bedroom so not ideal for tall people.

Joan is a fabulous host - so very helpful and engaging. Joan's home made yoghurt is outstanding!

Premises not quiet sorted bud Joan was a fantastic host. We had the most amazing stay in this beautiful cottage â¤ď¸
not quite finished but sure it would be lovely when finished
4.4
very hospitable hostess. great price, quaint. local pub next door
no dinner options to walk to
4.4
Joan the owner managed a perfect balance between being helpful and welcoming and not crowding us. The adjoining property being a Pub was quite a charming combination!
nothing comes to mind at all
4.4
Everything! Joan was a great host, room was extra large with the most comfortable bed. Great wifi. Breakfast with warm pastry, home-made yogurt (delicious), toast and cereal. Beautiful thatched cottage. Pub in the same building which you could not hear at all, but made it easy to grab a pint.

super awesome place. extremely kind hosts. quiet and peaceful.
4.4
Lovely thatched cottage in a quiet village. The room was comfortable with its own bathroom. Wifi worked well. Shower had good pressure. The lady owner was very kind and accommodating. There was a space to park our car off the street. Breakfast was included, but as we left very early, we didn't take advantage of it. The offer was made to leave us some things out overnight though.
Location may not suit some travellers, as it is out of the way, but we knew this on booking.

Such a cute place. Loved the location
A little hard to find but sooo worth it

This has been my favourite place Iâve stayed in Ireland
so far! The cottage is so cozy and wonderful and with the
town pub right next door. Everyone was so welcoming
and friendly I couldnât recommend staying here enough!
4.4
It was a lovely little place and very cozy. Joan was very helpful in the booking process and guiding me reach the place safely. I was pleasantly greeted by Barry who gave tips and directions to catch the sunset, and Heidi who was extremely friendly.
The room was very clean with with great amenities and breakfast was great. There is nice pub next door and the sandwiches were very tasty, especially after a kind ride. The nearest town is about 10 minutes away and Cork city is about a 1 hour pleasant ride.
Nothing not to like.
4.4
Joan was really nice and the breakfast was amazing. The location is great even if it is right besides the roads. Room was very tidy and the bed was veeery comfortable.
4.4
The best nights sleep I've had in a long time. Lovely owner who was there if I needed anything.
Nothing to dislike.
4.4
A lovely little gem. in a pretty village. Owner was very welcoming and accommodation very comfortable. We would return if we were in the area.
It was tricky to find. But worth it when you get there.
4.4
itâs nice to stay in a cottage and get to know the people

Breakfast was absolutely lovely, very generous with coffee throughout the day too (and tea of course too), the cottage is beautiful and instagram-worthy, but make sure you read the ownerâs message when booking and double check the location; very kind owner, comfy and big bed, good shower, and very Irish experience. Thereâs also a fun shop in that village where you should buy a potato salad. If you cant have dairy - make sure you bring your own alternatives from the city. Very nice area and friendly people.

Nothing - worst place I've ever stayed . I would have driven away immediately only we had to stay in the area for work and there was no other accommodation available anywhere near by (we had booked and paid for the cottage in advance)- would have happily travelled another hour or more to avoid staying here. The only respite was the nice pub next door which was clean and friendly.
Unclean - the light switches were dirty and appear to have never been cleaned, the wall tiles in the bathroom were dirty all along by the toilet, the carpet on the ramp between the bedroom and toilet was not hoovered and had lots of material on it, the window frame had black dirt on it, the bathroom ceiling was dirty. This is in addition to other issues such as unpainted door frames etc., a general damp smell and there was a live silverfish on the duvet (which is another indicator of damp). I am not fanatical about cleanliness but expect a "B&B" to have a basic cleanliness standard. In addition, the room is so dark one must use the ceiling light even in the daytime. The breakfast was absolutely unacceptable, I opened the teapot (left for guest to make tea) and it was full of mouldy old tea. The cereals were not fresh and the tops on the jam and yogurt (I think it was yogurt) pots were not clean. There is no hot breakfast.
No warning on the Booking.com page about the low ceiling in the bedroom, any person over about 5 feet 8 inches would have to lower their head. The accommodation is simply not suitable as a B&B.

Joan was very friendly and kind. She went out of her way to make sure I had a pleasant stay.

The best host, lovely room. highly recommended!

Not in a large town but is great point for day trips to most attractions in southern Ireland

Joan and Heidi were perfect hosts and were very helpful with information about the area. The location was ideal for me exploring Cork and kerry area. Breakfast first class with Joan's home-made yoghurt the standout. The cottage offered great value and ideal for resting after a day being the tourist.

A nice old cottage with a thatched roof, very fashinating and pretty easy to reach. The host was very friendly and accomodating, wi-fi is provided and we even had Netflix in the room, which was a pleasant surprise.
The breakfast was simple, but all natural and organic which is surely a plus, and the price was a real bargain.
When we came (april 2022) the structure was still in partial renovation, so, while the room was finished and complete of everything (and also big) it was a little unconfortable to access.
The room is quite low in height, so some might find it unconfortable.
The house in general could have been cleaner, not that it was dirty, but we found it a little untidy, maybe for the host still lacking a bit more experience.
