Basic accommodation

We were in Rutherglen for Easter for the Geocaching mega event. This was very basic room with concrete floors. Good location in the main street of Wahgunyah.

Pillows were extremely hard.

Everything we needed

We were only staying 1 night as we had a family funeral. We had everything we wanted

Overall an excellent property, quiet and handy to where we wanted to be

Clean, has a full kitchen and all facilities for those that wish to cook

The pillows and the toilet roll holder kept falling off

very dusty, dead cockroaches and moths, communication wasn’t the best leading up to our stay, power cut out a few times, bottom window slat missing / unable to be closed so rain entered, toads entered the property so not sure how this is pet friendly and they are poisonous to animals

Perfect hotel to stay with your dog. Has everything you need for an overnight stay.

Simple, good quality bed. I slept really well.

It was handy to a celebration we were attending.

The carpet had been removed, but not replaced. The concrete was very stained and looked “unfinished”. This also left a huge gap between the sliding bathroom door and the floor, not great when you want privacy in the toilet. The door handle to the bathroom kept falling off, so I eventually left it off There were a couple of marks on the blind next to the bed and on a low cupboard. A very minor detail perhaps, but I chose the room based on the photo’s which had Orla Keily bedding. This wasn’t on the bed, so I was slightly disappointed because Im a big Orla Keily fan.

Very comfortable stay.

The rooms have been renovated nicely. Great that a coffee pod machine, pods and milk were supplied. Towels felt nice and new. The split system heating really warned up the room. The host Anne was very easy to deal with. I would stay again. Could even bring kids as the unit we were in also had a bunk bed.

The look of the outside area, especially the back, could be improved. The concrete floors were quite cold for winter. Need to bring slippers or keep socks/shoes on.

Fully equipped kitchen!

Nicely renovated studio room with full kitchen, appliances and utensils. Good location, easy drive to many destinations including Rutherglen.

Excellent and clever renovated motel

Great motel with renovated rooms. A full kitchen so could easily self cater if staying for a couple of nights. A Nespresso with pods is a lovely touch. Comfortable bed for a good night sleep. Quiet area and easy walk to pub for dinner Also the rail trail is just down the road so you can cycle to Rutherglen and wineries.

Nothing. The old sign could be off putting, but such a great surprise when i walk into the room that I realised I shouldn’t judge a book by it cover.

new applicances and bed and bench tops and kitchen,self check in

notice room floors not completed,also shower floor tiling not completed and cracked.Advised manager of Motel and sent photos,for the price would have liked an finished renovated room.The outside needs some work and privacy screens would be an good idea

Anne was very responsive to all enquirers & our room was ready a little early which was fabulous. We loved the way the room was styled and stocked. Would definitely stay again.

i hope owners get back to basics with their renovations. A Nespresso pod does not mean more $$

still being refurbished so no comment

translucent front door - every time some one walked passed at night the security light came on, woke us up each time Bed far too small, I ended up on sofa. sofa too big for room. table right next to bathroom door. we both hit the edge of it. Security door lock instructions needs to be more explicit, timing etc
