Charming and spacious water-front home offering access to the canal. Convenient location just a short walk to beach access, playground, arcade, local convenient store, and nightlife.

Large porch with plenty of seating to watch the stunning sunsets.

Large dock with multiple spots for fishing and swimming access. There are cleats on the dock for boats, jet skis, floats etc.

Spacious living room and open kitchen with vaulted ceiling. Recently updated, including new floors throughout.

Enclosed outdoor shower.

There is an outdoor camera above the porch door. The outdoor camera shows the steps of the deck, dock and boat and is in place for safety and security. It is used to assess water from storms, hurricanes etc.

From the cute decore to the spacious accommodations and newer appliances this house was outstanding. The sock was great to tie our boat and even just chill and relax on. The kiddoea had a blast fishing and my one son went swinning. He doesn't care for sand. I especially enjoyed the comfort of the furniture om the deck on the second floor. Waspeaceful and gorgeous view.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Sandy Feet Retreat immensely. The house is better in person than in the pictures and so tastefully decorated. We had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils, which we appreciated since we cooked at home most nights. The master bedroom is massive! Location on the canal, right next to the sound, couldn’t have been better for paddle boarding and kayaking. My guys loved fishing off the dock and caught several fish. We also enjoyed the short walking distance proximity to the beach. Topsail Island had so many things to do, besides the beach, that our group had endless options for entertainment. Would definitely rent again!

Second time for a long weekend at this house and it is perfect! Close to everything on the island, house is well maintained and has everything you need! Favorite place to be is on the dock taking it all in! Andrea is a great host and always responsive to your needs! Will be back for a third visit for sure.

This is a wonderful property for families with beautiful sunsets and scenery during the day. Great central location within walking distance from The Trailer Bar for a fund night out. Property is stocked with cooking supplies and has a classic beach house layout. Do remember to bring your own sheets and towels which is probably normal for this area of beaches but something we were not used to from previous VRBO rentals.

Overall, we had such a great week in Surf City! The location of the property was within a short drive to the beach each day, and we loved fishing each morning/night on the dock! The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked! The only problem that we ran into was the condition the previous renters left the house. With a quick text to Andrea, she was immediately receptive to our concerns, and we were able to resolve the situation together! Andrea was such a great host, and that is a great reason to rent this property! We would definitely re-rent this home!

Beautiful inlet location; quick walk to the beach; wonderful layout in the home with great kitchen and baths; great fresh seafood markets nearby and we loved grilling at staying in laid back mood, spending the nights by the dock fishing. Would highly recommend this home for vacations!

My family of 5 and our dog spent a fantastic 5 days and really enjoyed ourselves. We rented kayaks, fished and swam from the dock. The house was so nice with a great view and was very clean with a fully equipped kitchen. We walked to the beach easily with our beach cart. The location is so peaceful and convenient to restaurants, grocery and downtown Surf City. We will definitely be back. Thanks so much Angela for being a great host!

Despite rainy weather we had a wonderful stay at this canal house! The location is super convenient to all Surf City/Topsail has to offer. House is updated and well stocked with all the necessities for a families. Outdoor space is perfect for fishing or relaxing off the dock! Quiet and well maintained. Andrea was super responsive and answered all our questions quickly! We will be back!

This property is just fantastic! First the location cannot be beat. It's on the canal, which is great for kayaking (I highly recommend renting while there) and bird watching and relaxing and then it's a short 5-10 minute (depends on if it's adults or kids!) walk to a fantastic beach. The house itself is super clean, has a big kitchen with everything you need, a great shaded deck facing the canal as well as a dock. There are 3 proper bedrooms, and all the beds were comfy. There is a room downstairs, with a murphy bed, but we did not use it. It was super hot weather and the room was hot. Not a big deal at all because there was plenty of room upstairs and the A/C worked so well. I highly recommend this property!

The house was very clean and decorated so cute with a fully stocked kitchen! Sunsets were beautiful but we couldn’t enjoy as the bugs were biting so bad. Beach is close enough to walk if you have young adults and teenagers, my mom is over 70 and needed a ride due to distance. All parking by beach is now paid so be prepared for that if you want to park at the beach! Would definitely stay again.

Overall deep cleaning needed. Dirty, white and black dog hair over areas., shower bath areas need cleaning. Looked like dog had chewed on chair in MB. Grill filthy and could not cook out. Return filter black in areas and full of dog hair. Covid precautions not used.

We enjoyed our stay and loved being on the canal. Very clean and spacious for our family of 5. Loved sitting on the deck in the morning and evening watching boats go by and fish jumping out of the water. Kids floated on rafts on day one. Morning of day two we saw a croc/ alligator swimming down the canal so kids were too scared after that. Not sure if that is common or not, did not see another for the rest of our time. Not a bad walk to the beach unless carrying lots of beach gear. We splurged for parking pass next to beach since we like our tents and chairs and games and food/drinks at the beach. Beach was not crowded and water was very warm, no jelly fish! Thanks for a great house!

This is a really good property in a great location. It can be a little difficult to back out onto the busy road, but just be patient and that's fine! There's a lot of thing nearby, including a church and the EMS station, so there will be some noise at times. It seems like the windows could use an upgrade, as it can get noisy when motorcycles and things pass - but it's a busy location in the middle of the beach - you really can't expect anything else. The property is awesome and the owner is very receptive. We had a great time and would stay here again for surel

We really enjoyed our stay at sandy feet retreat! This beach cottage is beautiful with everything you need to make you feel right at home. We loved the dock and spent the evenings watching the sunset or taking the pups for a kayak ride. We would definitely book again.

We rode our boat up for an extended weekend. The dock is in deep water and easy to access. The home was beautiful. Super easy check in, neighbors were friendly. Went to a few local spots to eat and hung out at the Trailer Bar that is within walking distance to hear live music. Caught the sunrise a couple of mornings with my dogs on the beach. Highly recommend!

The property was perfect for our family and our dogs! We loved the view of the canal, enjoyed fishing off the dock, and sitting on the deck for sunset. It was a very short walk t the beach as well! The owner was very responsive and accommodating! We would highly recommend this property and plan to be back again!

We love Surf City, but this was our first time not staying on the ocean. We decided to give a house on the canal a try and we are so glad we did! We rented a golf cart and a double kayak, which just added to our fun! The beach is easy to get to and the canals were so fun to kayak in, and swim in for my daughter who loved jumping off the dock! It was very peaceful, quiet, and beautiful sitting outside on the deck or dock, no matter what time of day. The house had everything we needed and was very cute and comfortable. The owner communicated well and responded quickly with answers to some questions we had. October in Surf City on the canal has quickly become a favorite of ours and we would (and have) recommend this house to anyone!

We had a few days before sending our boys off to college and wanted some time to create some memories and "unplug". Our stay at the Sandy Feet Retreat was perfect. Morning coffees on the back deck, dinners at the table after a day at the beach and cards in the evening, it was just what we all needed. The beach house was the perfect size, we loved the location and it was absolutely peaceful., thank you. ***Don't forget to bring hand towels for the bathrooms and toilet paper.***

Owner very communicable and kind. Gorgeous neighborhood on the sound and close to beach and most all other necessities. Awesome view and comfortable porch to relax and enjoy. Lots of space. Needs a deep cleaning is the only suggestion for improvement.

The pictures do not do the property justice. This was our first time staying canal side and like another reviewer said, we may be converts. It's such a lovely change of scenery after a day at the ocean. The boys enjoyed watching fish jump out of the canal and trying to fish for their first time. The house is comfortable and the kitchen was fantastic for cooking dinners to be enjoyed on the gorgeous porch. We hope to return again before long!
