Bagnell Cottage is in a truly beautiful setting with rolling hills and pretty gardens around it. The bed was really comfortable, room large and had everything I needed.
While there is wifi it's a very poor signal and not the fastest. Okay, to check email but not much else.

Stunningly beautiful, tranquil, the best hostess. If you’re looking to escape the noise and have complete quiet with only sounds of birds or farm animals around this is perfect. Completely charming and relaxing. Blown away. Extremely good value. Hostess is the sweetest and most wonderful woman. Her garden and grounds are a dream. The whole experience, from chatting with Eileen to meeting her sister and their dogs was all around an amazing experience we will hold dear to our hearts forever. Lovely.
Loved everything especially our spacious and clean room to the gorgeous English garden grounds and nearby walking paths and charming villages.

The property is very quiet and remote.
The roads are very narrow, but this must be accepted as a condition of the remoteness of the property. The breakfast format may not suit some guests.

Lovely welcome from Eileen who made us feel really at home. The cottage is in a beautiful and very quiet setting at the end of a long track. Lovely room looking out over the gardens, comfortable bed and good shower. We had a Continental breakfast each day and in the evening there are plenty of pubs in the area. We liked the Royal Oak at Over Stretton and the Phelips Arms at Montacute. Plenty to do during the day. Montacute House is well worth a visit as are the towns of Crewkerne and Sherborne.

beautiful property set in stunning location. very comfortable and homely with a brilliant breakfast. Eileen was so welcoming and helpful and I would highly recommend visiting
it is at the bottom of a steep, muddy drive. this was not a problem and all our vehicles could use it safely but if you are precious about your car it maybe isn’t for you!
4.7
A lovely property in beautiful surroundings. The host struck just the right tone in being welcoming but not intrusive. The bed was extremely comfortable and I loved going to sleep with the sound of a stream outside my window and cattle gently mooing in the field next door. A great place to relax
I was unsure about having an external bathroom but in the event it was no problem at all.

The whole experience fantastic place with an amazing host
Absolutely nothing negative to say

Breakfast was scrambled egg, cereal, fresh fruit, orange juice.
Booking.Com gives a post code that doesn’t apply, and should give proper detailed information how to get there. Also the cottage is in a very rural and isolated location and you need walking boots, wellies. You can’t just pop out to the pub,or shop, you have to drive or walk. Take a torch! I was very glad to have a x4 vehicle!

Eileen was a friendly and gracious host, She provided extensive information on surrounding attractions, and volunteered a car ride to my wife to one nearby local attraction. Her lovely cottage was comfortable, and we departed after three nights feeling we had stayed with a close relative,..great conversations and a family warmth!

The location was perfect for our requirements, very quiet with walks in all directions. Lots of quaint villages with lovely pubs nearby. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable and our hostess was friendly and very helpful. Would happily stay there again.

Lovely location and wonderful host. 2 very friendly , well behaved dogs live there. It is a proper rural location and all you can hear is nature ( we even overslept it is so quiet.)

Our host was extremely welcoming and made us feel very relaxed from the outset. Not only did we have a spacious bedroom and large en suite bathroom, but there was also a guest lounge for our use. This had large comfortable sofas, many books and a tv. Breakfast was delicious with choice of cereals, homemade porridge and a cooked option as well.
My husband and I could not find any way to improve our stay but some guests might like to know the owner has two dogs which are very well trained and no trouble as long as you are not allergic in any way.

Bagnell Farm Cottage is an absolute gem, the moment you arrive you just feel chilled. We really felt like it was a home away from home, Eileen was magnificent, perfect balance of checking in on us and leaving us to our own devices. Beautiful walks on your doorstep, a number of pubs in the surrounding villages and plenty of interesting places to explore just beyond that.
I struggle to think of any negative, perhaps if the long track to it were a little better surfaced it would be easier, but then more people would find it!
4.7
A delightful location away from it all and just very relaxing. The accommodation and garden are lovely and the host - Eileen - is extremely pleasant and helpful.
Nothing to add at all.

It is a beautiful cottage with beautiful grounds making it a great get away and rest bite
It is difficult to get signal as it is in a valley. However if you want peace and quiet that’s not a problem at all

Everything was perfect.
There was nothing to complain about at all.
4.7
A home away from home. Personal service, unique host, delightful pets and pleasant company.
Perhaps a small frige in the bedroom but this really is a silly niggle on my part. I like very cold wine!
4.7
Was a lovely location very picturesque it’s absolutely what we wanted and more. The breakfast was continental witch we was very happy with.
We could find anything we did not like about this stay
4.7
The location is perfect. So peaceful. It is like a little bit of heaven.
Can't beat perfection !

Room and bathroom clean with fresh towels and tea and coffee facilities. Elaine friendly and helpful. Didn't experience breakfast as I left to early.
Location was alwful to find, not signs and sat Nav didn't pick it up, no phone signal. Roads the worst I have travelled on, enormous pot holes that I did worry about my car suspension. Took double time to get to where I needed to go due to travelling slow so as not to damage my car. No where to get an evening meal as was to worried about finding Bagnell cottage in the dark.
4.7
Charming, experienced, delightful host who was only too happy to make our stay comfortable.
Quiet remote location.
Poor wifi as a result of long driveway and valley location

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable . Good choice of breakfast. The lady owner was very friendly and helpful.
The drive up to the property lots of pot holes in the lane . Needs a sign at the bottom of the lane for directions to the property.
