Excelente hostal con muchos detalles y muy bien mantenido.

Cozy interior, good breakfast, very nice staff.
Thin windows let all the noise in from the busy street. Earplugs are mandatory.

Amazing place to stay! My favourite in Bolivia! Beautiful hotel with wonderfully decorated rooms, the most comfortable beds and the loveliest staff ever! Breakfast is wonderful too. The family that run it really make it they are so kind and helpful!

I booked a single room but was given a room with 2 single beds. It was fine with me. The room was clean and comfortable. I arrived before 7 a.m. The room of course was not ready for me but I could take a hot shower in the ground floor bathroom, which was great. The staff was kind and helpful. The hostal is a short walk from many good restaurants in Sopocachi, the main road where I could take buses to the city centre and two teleferico lines.
I think there is limited amount of hot water for guests. Water was only lukewarm when I took a shower late at night. I suggest taking a shower either earlier in the evening or in the morning.

In our 6 months travels in south America this Hotel is one of our favorites! Really friendly and helpful staff and owners. It is super clean, beds are comfortable, breakfast is the best so far! Pancakes, fresh bread, fresh orange juice, eggs, fruit... Amazing. We really enjoyed our stay here. We are coming back for sure!

Good breakfast, friendly staff.
Need to be let in by the staff every time, which can mean standing on the doorstep in the rain for a while. Location isn't great.

The whole experience was exceptional. Juan and his family run the most wonderful hostel in La Paz. Everything is spotless, the breakfast is wonderful and their helpfulness exceeds many of the places we've stayed at. By far the highlight of our trip to Bolivia!

Despite being near some busy roads, good soundproofing means it’s a really peaceful and quiet place where we felt right at home. Super helpful and friendly hosts also.

We loved our stay at hostal Bivouac. Our room was so cozy and chic and the house itself is very warm, beautiful and welcoming. Breakfast was very good and rich and there was full of choice. Location was also very good because it's situated in a quiet area, but still closed to the city centre. The best of all is Juan, the owner, who gave us many useful information and advices and his cute dog Lucy. We really felt at home away from our home! Thanks for everything! Big hug!

The host went out of his way to ensure I enjoy my stay. I don't think you would ever get this kind of treatment in a hotel. Location was good (less than 10 min from main square). Facilities were great and despite being next to a busy road, the room was quiet. I would definitly stay there again.

The owner was kind and helpful. My mom had an early appointment at the US embassy. The area is nice and safe. He prepared a delicious breakfast for her and showed the way. Thanks so much!
I cannot think of anything to improve, this place exceeded our expectations.
