Perfect for large family gathering with kids. Loved the separate wings - allowed kids to have their space at night, as well as adults. Loved all the amenities - fire pit, hot tub, and creek!

This house was awesome for a large gathering of family and friends of all ages. Lots of space for everyone. We all enjoyed the outdoor space with the gas fireplace and tv/ bar area and the kids had a great time making a fire in the fire pit for s’mores. Small issues were handling quickly with the property manger. Would definitely rent this again in the future!!

We loved the location and space that this home offered us. We sat on the back patio and listened to the water behind the home; we took our kids on nature walks; explored the area around us and had so much fun. The property manager was helpful and the maintenance team was extremely kind. We’d love to come back.

We had the best time with 3 families staying in this amazing mountain home. It had tons of space and we loved all the outdoor entertainment. Great location with a short drive to many blowing rock attractions.

Overall the property was very nice. Our nine year old granddaughter loved the game room. The fenced-in section of the yard was great for our doodles. However, it needed a thorough cleaning, especially vacuuming.

My family and I stayed here for my wedding in Purlear. House is great for big groups as it is large and bedrooms are spread out. Great location, just be careful driving at night.

We absolutely loved our stay at Moss End. Perfect for our family of 15 which included 6 kids 5-16 years of age and 9 adults. Plenty of space and awesome game room that the kids loved! Adults loved the outdoor area and our pup loved the fenced yard. Only complaints are as follows: keyless entry didn’t work and took about 45 minutes to be able to get into the house, box spring in basement bedroom was broken and the pull out sofa in the 7th bedroom was ok but would be great if there was an actual bed in there. Overall we loved our stay and we will definitely be back!! Location is truly perfect, too!

This large house worked extremely well for our extended family. There were plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and family areas including a fun gameroom. The kitchen was well stocked as were the bathrooms. Nice outdoor areas including fenced yard for our dog. Very private and close to Blowing Rock and Boone.
Minor issues were house wasn’t as clean upon arrival, no outdoor table for eating outside (although outdoor kitchen was nice) and limited communications by management company.

Lota of space
The property was fabulous. There were however many repaurs needed and the outside kitchen was filthy . There needs to be more hand rails by the shorter sets of stairs. The pull out bed had mouse drppings in it and t bye basement bathroom had mildew.

winter getaway
Property is beautiful. The housekeeping needs improvement as windows in LR, Kit, & DR were very dirty. Dishes left in dishwasher. Food caked on microwave table.
Maintenance needs improvement, french doors to outdoor area don't latch properly, high wind opens them. Outdoor fireplace in need of repairs. Propane for grille empty.
Property manager was prompt to notify us of issue with previous tenant damaging indoor fireplace. Responded very well to other minor issues during stay.

Moss End
This house has a great layout for a large family. Easy to get in once we arrived. Plenty of rooms to spread out in. Loved the many porches to allow for reading and quiet time. However we were only given 2 garbage bags for a 4 day stay. 2 dishwasher tablets and not enough toilet paper and only one roll of paper towels.. For a family as large as mine who cooks a lot and spent much of our time at the cabin.... simply not enough supplies .
The house I’m sure in its day was spectacular... but we found it to be somewhat run down ... it is in need of a major cleaning and painting. Sooty cobwebs at the ceiling, dusty bedside tables, some broken furniture, outdoor sink broken.
We still enjoyed our stay- the hot tub, fire pit and outdoor grill all came In Handy. I would suggest a major spring cleaning when the season allows.

WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING RENDEZVOUS
This house had plenty of ohs and ahs. We were a party of eleven. A house that allowed everyone to either gather together or to go to private places. The common area was large, the kitchen very well equipment and the area was wonderful. We did have a couple of maintenance issues which was effectively resolved. It should be noted that the indoor fireplaces are gas, no wood needed, and the televisions are large, digital but unable to receive local stations without a subscription service (YouTube TV, Hulu, etc.)

Great Home for Large Family
This property is perfect for multi-generational families with lots of space and amenities to enjoy. We loved the outdoor kitchen and firepit! Location is secluded, but close to both Blowing Rock and Boone. Close to grocery stores, coffee shops, Tweetsie, etc. Only problem we encountered was poor overall maintenance which led to leaks and issues with hot tub. The property manager was very responsive and our issues were addressed, but it interfered with our holiday. I hope the owners have replaced and updated various systems in the house. It fit our needs perfectly and we had a great time.

Great floor plan!
Loved the house. Great floor plan. Spread out enough so that early to bed people aren’t disturbed by night owls. Lots of room for outside cooking and gathering. Beautiful location and well kept. Very nice game room for kids and adults. We would definitely rent this location again. Only downfall is that the neighbor is rude and watching.

we couldn't be in the cabin we chose
We were 40 minutes away from arriving. And they called us to tell us that the cabin was not habitable because there was a leak and we could not enter. They gave me the option to return the money. or another cabin we chose the second option and the experience was wonderful

Awesome Time w/Family
Incredible house, perfect for our yearly mountain trip with multiple families. Lots of room for adults and kids. Great location, easy to get to many activities. Two items for feedback ... 1) handrails on steps into kitchen and den area are needed, my parents are older and struggled with those ... 2) a few more seating options in the game room would be nice. Again, great place.

OCC mission Trip 2020
Wonderful location , beautiful home. could have used some hooks around the hot tub for hanging towels/robes and a full length mirror in the master closet. Over all an excellent stay! Thank You and we will definitely keep this location in mind for staying in during next years Church Mission trip to the Boone Operation Christmas Child Processing Center!!

Great Family Space
The property is well situated near Boone/Blowing Rock with a beautiful horse meadow, rumbling creek, tree covered hillside, etc...Wonderfully weird big house accommodated our large family. We spent 75% of our 5 days in and around the house and never got bored. Owner was responsive to minor issues we had.

Wonderful!
Great location and beautiful home with plenty of room for everyone. Would suggest more detail regarding stairs for any accessibility issues. Only complaint is water pressure!!!! Plan you showers for everyone on a schedule because two at a time is not possible. Would suggest not washing dishes or bathroom breaks while someone is showering either. Overall great vacation and would stay again!!!! 😄

Great large cabin
The cabin was well appointed for 15 people, with plenty of plates, glasses and silverware for every meal. We were able to cook and bake easily with the provided items and the fridge held a lot more food than we thought. Having the separate wings of the house helped when the young kids woke up before the adults and the entertainment options kept 8 kids busy for a week! The outdoor spaces were plentiful so people could gather conveniently. The only minor negative thing we could say is the water pressure made it difficult for more than one shower to run at a time.

5 Stars
What a wonderful home for a family vacation. There was plenty of space for us all ( 5 adults, 3 kids, 2 dogs). The house lay out provided us all with privacy and space so each of us could enjoy our time together and apart. The house had every amenity you could need at a home away from home. Plenty of cookware, dishes, wine glasses, coffee cups, you name it - they had it here. The kitchen was labeled well so that was helpful in keeping things neat and organized. The photos don't show this but they have added an arcade style video game that we all enjoyed as well as a ping pong table in the garage. The "dog run" is actually a large fenced in yard so plenty of space for your dog to be outside and contained. We look forward to making this house a regular vacation spot.
