The hotel building is beautiful, with well kept gardens and a view across the lake. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and clean. There are EV charging points available. They accept dogs.
The food was disappointing, a plate of limp salad leaves if you are vegetarian and the other two dishes had to be returned to the kitchen, both cold and undercooked. The staff, whilst polite and friendly, seemed overwhelmed (even though we were the only guests in the restaurant) and unable to answer simple questions. Breakfast was a pretty sorry affair with many items unavailable. In addition, there was an overpowering smell of drains in all of the public spaces of the hotel. Nothing about the whole experience felt 5 star.

Amazing place, hotel staff was very friendly and the location is perfect for a long relaxing weekend!
Breakfast was not that great. You have to wait quite a bit since since it‘s à la carte and the staff at the restaurant wasn’t very friendly and super stressed.

Design of the room and hotel
“Give us your CVV code to be recorded in our files together with all the details of your credit card” was the first request of the receptionist after we prepaid our room at check-in. During next 15-20 minutes we were forced to provide detailed explanations why we can’t do so - that this requirement is ILLEGAL, it violates our rights on financial data protection, it infringes the terms and conditions of our bank providing us credit card services, etc. It was almost midnight, we drove several hours and just wanted to get some sleep. But instead we were forced to protect our financial data. This situation ended with a phone call of the receptionist to the director with a commentary in French that “these tourists made a huge scandal” (even though we were calm and polite, just standing on our point) and finally they allowed us to enter our (prepaid!) room and get some sleep. (1) Claiming of an illegal requirement (record our card’s CVV), (2) insisting on it against our objections, (3) lying about the “scandal” which insulted us, since we kept being nice even in such circumstances, (4) no excuse or compensation for the inconveniences caused - these all factors didn’t allow us to enjoy the well-equipped facilities of this spa-resort.

setting was lovely.
the restaurant service in the evening seems a little fractious between the staff

Loved everything - the breakfast, the staff, the pool, the spa... being there offseason and during the week; we had the Hotel pretty much to ourselves. The room was incredible, especially the view, and the staff's small attentions like fruits when we got there or the note was lovely and appreciated.
The restaurant on the ground floor has chairs without protection and a loud floor. That means all day around lunch hours, and on our first night, during the night as they were cleaning up the restaurant and preparing it for the evening, we would constantly hear the noises of chairs scraping on the floor. It woke us up all night the first night and we thought it was the room next to us or above making that ruckus; when we mentioned it to the staff they properly apologized and explained it was probably the staff preparing the restaurant for opening. The next night thankfully it did not happen, but we had the noises all around lunch time and in the early evening (while the restaurant was open) which made it hard to relax in the room.

the view is amazing! such professional and friendly staff. it is our third time and I recommend it to everyone that I know! I will definitely return!
I would love it if they had a short and limited section for the dinner menu that is a la carte. the dishes are beautiful and I can appreciate that it takes an incredible amount of effort and love to produce them but although they are beautiful they are not particularly delicious.

The view from the hotel is spectacular.
Amazingly our superior room had no shower! Only a central stand-alone bath with stand-pipe fitting and hand-held shower-head. There was nowhere to put soap, shampoo etc

The Spa, the view, very friendly and helpful staff, the facilities.
In the room They have a funny auto detect light at night that illuminates the bathroom area in a very strong light in the middle of the night and actually wake you up.

- friendly staff
- very attentive GM
- superb dinner + bfast
- comfortable bed
we knew that we booked the last room available and as usual it was the former broom room😝
noisy from the side where the very noisy ventilator of the kitchen blows straight into the window😝
the other windows are straight to the noisy road😝
the rental bikes are for very leisurely rides and not well maintained (lack of tire air and one bike the gear changes did not work)
the toilet should be separate from the bathroom😝
