Great stay

The area is very convenient for getting to Boston and surrounding areas. Ashmont metro is less than 10 mins walk. Some of it is a little eclectic and colourful. Limited restaurants in the area, you really need to drive.
The property is fantastic a real home from home. Very well fitted out loved sitting outside in the morning reading a book with a cup of coffee. Great communication from the owner. Beautiful touches in the property and well equipped.
Eddie was fantastic and very professional.
Really enjoyed our stay.

My twins and I stayed here to visit four colleges in Boston. It was a great place to stay. There is a beautiful outdoor space that I used in the morning to drink my coffee. The place was spotless and the owners communicated very well.

We have never stayed in a VRBO property as nice, clean and well appointed as this one. It was perfect by any measure except for one significant problem. This was a well restored Victorian home with one unit over the second unit. There is essentially no noise insulation between the units. We were unfortunate to have occupants above us that played music and operated their tv past midnight every evening, the first night to 1:30 a.m. As we are senior adults and try to retire in early evening the result was we were unable to fall asleep. Every night was the same experience. We tried cotton balls to muffle the sound but no relief. If staying here bring ear plugs or plan to stay up late.

We loved our stay! The apartment was immaculate, and the bedrooms were bigger than expected, with two separate bathrooms really adding to the appeal. There was plenty of space for our party of two couples. The decor was beautiful and the kitchen mostly well appointed. The backyard area was lovely, although we weren't aware that the office/bar structure would not be accessible until we arrived. Also, there was not a regular coffee maker (only a nespresso machine), which was a bit of an inconvenience. Other than that we truly enjoyed our time at the Ashmont House!

Gorgeous, clean, welcoming! An ideal place for a reunion with our friends from Seattle. Thank you for all the gracious touches!

Excellent apartment in a lovely building. The property listing was very accurate and the apartment was immaculately clean and well equipped. Eddie is a great host and reacted very promptly to resolve a couple of trivial issues. The location was good with easy access to the T for the days we spent in Boston. It was also a good location for exploring New England. I did receive a traffic violation for parking our rental car pointing the wrong way - something other visitors from the UK may need to consider. Overall, a great base for an equally great holiday.

The property was in an old, historic region and the apartment had been recently renovated tastefully and beautifully. I don't think we have ever stayed in a property that was so immaculately maintained. With every question we had from planning through the stay Eddie, the co-owner responded to me immediately and in a very friendly manner. The downside was the location. Even though it was easy walking distance from the "T" and we were able to easily travel with public transportation from the airport, the location was in an area that we did not feel comfortable walking in, esp. at night. Access to restaurants and stores was not convenient. We (myself, spouse and graduating grandaughter) were happy we stayed here.

Nicely renovated and near subway. Fast communication by owner when I asked questions.

This is likely the best rental property I’ve stayed in. Amazing value. Very spacious. Well decorated and clean. The hosts were responsive to messages and it was close to most things we wanted to do.

The home is everything as described in the property advertisement. It's very clean and we had great communication with the owner. The secondary bedroom clearly states it is a "Full" bed however this can become cumbersome when accommodating two adult couples. The bathrooms and kitchen are clean and modern. All come with a nice supply of extra useful amenities. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

We visited Boston for a little getaway for my mom's birthday. I had lots of fun things planned for the holiday season (visiting Boston Common Park for the lights, tree and ice skating) yet still entertaining my toddler. A short drive to both the park and the Boston Museum of Science, which I highly recommend. I also made a reservation for a yurt at The Boston Bowery, which is super close by and the food was delicious!!!!
The apartment looks exactly like the photos...EXTREMELY clean, very comfortable, beautifully decorated and very cozy, although i'm sure the backyard is perfect for the summertime too!
I cannot recommend this apt enough! I would 100% stay again! My mom wouldn't stop raving about how much she loved it too whenever we talk about our trip :)

You will be pleased to stay at the Ashmont House. This historic Victorian has three separate units on its three floors; we stayed on the main floor unit and got a glimpse of the basement unit.
From the outside the house is on above par compared to other renovated Victorians in the neighborhood. Nice, confidence inspiring. But once you step inside the charm and coziness immediately makes you say to yourself, " Good choice, Bro." Seriously, Eddie and Nayeli have created a setting that maintains the historic qualities of the Victorian architecture yet caters to the modern day needs and expectations of today's travelers. The decor, fixtures and finishes are all perfectly coordinated in a smartly historic-modern blend. My favorite part: the kitchen, as seen in the photo. It's clean and accommodating, and we had many fantastic meals cooking and eating together. The living area is warm and embracing, and the two well-appointed bedrooms are invitingly restful. Just perfect.
We did not stay in the aforementioned basement, but we did get to peek inside and noted that it is totally a romantic getaway--despite being below ground level, it is bright and warm...it is a cozy love nest that you will not want to leave.
Eddie and Nayeli are great hosts--always quick to reply to messages, always ready to help. Thank you, Eddie and Nayeli!

The Ashmont Apartment was beautiful. Eddy was a wonderful host. The train was broken while we were there so we used an Uber to get around. We also rented a car for couple of days to tour Salem and Cambridge. A fantastic trip to Boston.

We couldn't have picked a more enjoyable accommodation for our recent visit to Boston. The property is not only immaculate but it exudes so much character and is in a very convenient location to everything we needed. We all looked forward to coming "home" to the "Ashmont" at the end of each busy tourist day, and cozying up with friends and wine! Thank you!!

Arrived in evening, unsure about neighborhood
Most basics were available. More luxury than practical. Four occupants, only 3 dining chairs. Although there was an espresso machine, no standard coffee pot! Entry keypad and restaurants hard to find in the dark.

The property is beautiful and just as advertised. Great place to stay and close to the Red line station.

The property had all we needed for our stay. We enjoyed ourselves. Very clean.
A bit tricky trying to run the A/C. Directions would be helpful. It was too cold, when we arrived. We just turned them off completely. We also tried setting the thermostat, and it was no possible without a PIN number. That was also confusing. As with the coffee maker. We have never seen one like that, and finding coffee filters in the closet and no way to use them was confusing. But, we did figure it all out.
We parked in the driveway, and we were asked to move, which was fine. We have a brand new car and felt it was safer in the driveway. No, problem we moved it. It made us feel uneasy, when we were asked to move it, like we were being watched. We’re we being watched inside too? An uneasy feeling.
All in all, we did like your place and will recommend it to our friends.
We were impressed by your quick response, when we had a question.
We are also greatful for the help you gave us on the computer situation.
Thank you.

It's easy to park. Very convenient to have the subway within walking distance.

Pros: Extremely clean and nice! We loved the remodeled apartment it was immaculate. The air conditioner units worked extremely well in the bedrooms. The property manager immediately fixed an issue we had.
Cons: Location-even though the property was located the 5 minute walk from the T it was not in a good area. We did not feel safe walking there and even a cop at the T station told us to not walk back in the dark after the Red Sox game (2 female guests). We did not feel the description of a local coffee shop/good restaurant was properly represented since it was in the area we did not feel comfortable walking in. Even though the property was very nice the walls were super thin! Neither of us got sleep —the people below must of worked in telemarketing at night hours because all we heard all night was them talking loudly(even with our noise app on) and the TV was blaring very late hours of the night. Next, the people above the apt walked very hard and someone coughed/sounded like they were choking in sleep all night both nights! We do realize this isn’t something the owners of the VRBO can help but it made for an unpleasant stay to us. To top it off the fire alarm battery was old and started chirping non stop from 4am-8am.

This property is absolutely beautiful with very comfortable furnishings. It was not too far outside of the downtown so a great spot to stay outside of the chaos. Traffic is miserable in Boston right now (maybe always?) and we opted to use the train and Uber to get around. Our vehicle was safe parked on the road. Everything is brand new in this place and would be a great place to stay for several days to really enjoy it. The building is old, so you can hear people talking/moving about in the next room and upstairs so I would recommend ear plugs for sleeping. My only negative (first world problem) is that there was not enough towels/facecloths. We were provided only with one each for the two days we were there which wasn't quite enough. Communication with the hosts was excellent. We would stay there again.

Enjoyed staying there. Was centrally located for what we needed. Clean rooms, great water pressure, TV if we needed to watch, fridge, dishes, if it wasn’t so rainy we probably would’ve have gone into the back yard area! I’d stay there again.

We recommened! Everything perfect!

The property was beautiful! It is on a quiet street with ample parking. My only complaint, if you even want to call it that, was that the outside bar area is closed during certain times of the year, including now. I thought because it could be closed in ,we would be able to use it and the listing didn't mention it being closed off. However, the communication with the hosts was efficient and effective! We would go back during warmer weather.

The curb appeal of this house was spectacular in the middle of a somewhat unsuspecting neighborhood. The owners also made immaculate touches on the inside of the home. The neighborhood was fine, not a lot of amenities nearby, but we loved the Ripple Coffee shop by Ashmont station — it was the perfect spot to grab a coffee and quick bite before heading into town for the day. We were out and about quite a bit exploring Boston and basically only at the home to sleep. At times we wish we would’ve been able to enjoy the home a bit more! The shower was great and the hand dryer on site was helpful. The back patio looked great but we never got a chance to enjoy it.
Conveniently located within about a 7-8 min walk from either Ashmont or Shawmut on the Red Line which made for an easy in and out of town each day. If you’re visiting without a car and planning to use a Lyft/Uber and public transportation like we were, I’d say generally speaking you’re better off using the MBTA (way cheaper and usually quicker). It was generally about a 15-20 ride into town on the T (7-8 stops to central Boston). The owners were excellent communicators and made us feel welcome from the moment we booked.

The host of the property was amazing! The apartment had a lot of charm!

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while visiting family over the Christmas holidays. To come “home” to this light-filled, cozy, beautifully decorated space was a million times better than staying in a hotel. The beds were comfortable, and the location was perfect. We’ll hopefully be back!

This was one of the nicest stays that we’ve had at a vacation rental. We rented two units: The Boiler Room and The Apartment for an extended family of 6 adults. It worked out great!! The unit was very clean and beautifully decorated. Our visit was in November, so the outdoor bar was not open, but it looked fabulous! Eddie was a great in communications and provided recommendations for the area. We visited the Ashmont Grill a short walk away and it was delicious. We highly recommend this VRBO.

This was by far one of the nicest stays that we’ve had at a vacation rental. The unit was very clean and carefully decorated. Eddie was a great, communicative host. The area is decent and very close to the T, which was very helpful in navigating Boston proper. Would stay again!

Situated in a beautiful neighborhood a few minutes walk to the rail line, we couldn’t have been happier with our accommodations. In a beautiful Victorian, renovated perfectly with comfort and aesthetics in mind. Communication was easy and helpful. We really couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks Eddie! We’ll be back!

The property is beyond amazing and gorgeous. Not one single detail missed even in the outdoor space.
The owners were awesome in communication and advising on any questions we had.
