Beachfront/Bayfront home with 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms located in the quiet and relaxing community of Broadkill Beach. The property is just steps from the beach and features stunning, unobstructed water views from almost every room. The home has a coastal design with natural light, soft-tones and a clean aesthetic so that it feels like summer all year-round.
The home comfortably sleeps 12 in 2 queen beds, 1 double bed, 2 twin-over-twin bunk beds and a full-sized pull-out sofa bed. There is a separate sunroom and den both with enough seating for large families or groups.
If you're looking to dine in, the kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and an island counter. If you're looking to dine out, the quaint towns of Lewes and Milton are only a short drive or Uber ride away.

Perfect getaway Memorial Day weekend for my hubs and I! I love the beach, but not the hub bub. This was just what I like. Beautiful cedar shake sided beach cottage with everything you need for a relaxing vacay. Interior has been renovated with care with awesome local art work. Beach umbrella, beach chairs, outdoor patio all included. We want to come back with our kiddos and grands!

My husband, 4-year old and I met my sister in law's family (2 kids- 4 and 6) at this lovely beach house to stay for the week. The house had everything we needed- it was so nice to just bring our clothes and have everything else already there! And being just steps away from the beach was luxuriously convenient.
The only thing that I wish I would have known is that the biting flies can be brutal and can keep you inside. I was disappointed there wasn't an indoor-outdoor space like a screened-in porch, and the windows in the living room that faces the ocean don't work (and the furniture layout is oriented toward the TV, rather than out toward the beautiful view!). So we spent a lot more time than expected in the air conditioned house than in the ocean breeze.

Excellent beach front property
We loved this home! It had everything we needed (towels, sheets, fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils, dishes, pots and pans, storage containers etc.), and it was very clean. The beds, pillows and couches were comfy. Jess and Tom were quick to respond to our needs and questions from the beginning. The area was very residential, so the beach was never crowded. Access to the beach was just steps away which made it nice when carrying all our gear. There are not any restaurants nearby, but many down the road into Lewes Rehoboth and Dewy if you don't want to cook. One of the bathrooms is actually separate from the house but was still a full bathroom, clean and handy for when we were sitting outside. We will definitely keep this property in mind when we are booking our next girls' week. We would definitely recommend this home for your vacation.

Broadkill perfection...
We had a wonderful weeklong stay at this property, the location is amazing and it has such a beach cottage feel, we loved it! It was easy to get to, the property owners were available to quickly answer any questions and it was a short drive from our visits to downtown Lewes and Milton and the boardwalk at Rehoboth. Loved that we could be on the beach in seconds and had amazing views from the sunroom and bedrooms. We will definitely be back!

A+ weekend away
The house and property is great, clean, well maintained and responsive hosts!
The following is not a knock against the property whatsoever, just a FYI for future guests.
There is no dishwasher. Not that they claim to have one but I overlooked it in the listing. If you prefer to cook, just know you’ll be hand washing everything. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, knives, plates, etc. and all are in good condition.
If you’re renting in off season, there are limited food options nearby, even in food delivery apps. Despite what Google says, the nearby store/deli is only open for the summer season so not an option for off season renters. It will be great for any summer season rentals as it’s an easy walk down the street.
Again, these comments aren’t meant to negatively reflect on the property, just things I would’ve wanted to know ahead of time so hoping it helps a future renter!

Wonderful house and location
Three friends and I just stayed at the beach house and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The house was wonderful - comfortable and cozy, while still providing more than adequate rooms/nooks for each of us to have our space. Everything was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the kitchen and bathrooms were well-equipped for our needs. The owners responded quickly and helpfully to the few questions we had.
As wonderful as the house is, the location was even better! We were steps to the beach, with perfect sunrise viewing from just outside the back door.
We absolutely recommend this property and hope to be back soon!

Excellent Beachfront Home
My two sisters and I stayed at the home for one week September 25, 2021 through October 2, 2021 - it was the perfect sister get away; we slept to the sound of ocean/bay waves. We spoke to the owners to get some additional information on the home; call backs were timely and they are very helpful and a joy to speak with. The home was very clean and we wished the vacation was two weeks rather than one. The neighborhood was very quiet and beach access was great as the property is beachfront. We all had a great time!

Great Property, Great Location, Great Owners!
We very much enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect for us. It is beautifully decorated, completely redone/modern, clean (with the exception of the oven and the blinds in the kitchen which could use a thorough cleaning, but no biggie), well stocked with bath towels and basic supplies, with a great layout and a game room/extra living area stocked with games and a TV, and in a great location adjacent to the amazing Primehook Wildlife Refuge with all its wonderful trails.
Although a winter storm knocked out the direct beach access path (something we were not aware of from the listing on VRBO) , it is easy enough to get onto the beach and the fact that the house is beachfront is terrific so it didn’t create any issue for us at all.
Just as an FYI for those who may be unfamiliar with the Broadkill community/area community where the house is located: it is a rather rustic area/community and there are quite a few houses and lots that are in rather run down/overgrown condition and/or under repair. In fact, we were not thrilled to find a GIANT bright green construction dumpster, filled to well past the top with old patio furniture, bed pillows, metal, wood, other furniture and construction debris, in between the front of the house and the house across the street - literally within 6-8 ft of the front door. It was an unfortunate eyesore and made pulling in and out of the driveway with an SUV, with a 3 bike rack on the back, a bit of a challenge. Not the owners fault and they likely had no idea it was even there. It was there until the evening before we left and, thankfully happened to removed while we were not at the house so we avoided the noise and disruption of the removal and came back from being out to find it gone. Again, not the owners fault and likely not something that will happen again.
The owners were absolutely wonderful to deal with, very thoughtful and kind, and provided excellent and timely communication. The gift of note cards printed with a picture of Broadkill Store that we found waiting for us in the table was a lovely gesture, thank you!
We would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautifully decorated, clean, and completely updated house in a scenic, convenient and quiet location.

Perfect birthday getaway
Our son wanted to celebrate his 5th birthday at the beach this year. We haven't been anywhere in the last 15 months because of the pandemic, so this was a much needed vacation. This was our first time at Broadkill beach, and it was the perfect location. We basically had the whole beach to ourselves. The house was so beautifully furnished and decorated. It was clean, comfortable, and our son liked it so much that he was ready to move in, as he kept referring to our place back home as "the old house." Jess and Tom were quick to respond to all of our questions and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend this property and look forward to booking again some day.

Secret Beach Oasis
This is our 3rd time at Jess & Tim's beach house and we have loved it everytime! Beach access right in front of the house is closed due to storm damage temporarily, but it is only a 3 minute walk down the dunes to the next opening. Beach is beautiful and most mornings you will see 1 or 2 other people walking. Behind the house is Prime Hook national wildlife center which has some great walks and is a bird watchers paradise. House itself is always immaculate with a great kitchen, comfortable beds and excellent wifi. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer house along broadkill beach!

House was clean and well stocked. Location was fantastic. Had an issue with the septic and the owners responded and fixed it immediately. House size was fine for 4 adults 3 kids.

Beautiful & Clean
My boyfriend and our two friends (also a couple) were looking for a getaway near nature to unplug for a week. This was the perfect spot! We didn’t enjoy downtown much, but the home, space and beach was just what we needed! Good place for two couples because of the two living spaces and ample bedrooms. We felt like it was a great space to watch movies, play games, or explore outside. Great kitchen too, we cooked a lot.

magical beachfront getaway
This house is the stuff dreams are made of. Charming but modern, breathtaking views, surrounded by nature. Comfortable furniture, modern aesthetic, wood floors, a tub for soaking... this house has it all. If I could move in tomorrow I would, and would never leave.

Best get away EVER!!!
We had the best time. The house is absolutely beautiful! So clean and welcoming! The owners definitely made sure every little detail in the house was perfect! View of the beach and water from every room. I just cannot say enough about this place. We loved it! In fact we loved it so much we tried to book our summer vacation. Not surprised that it was all booked already! Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.

Perfection!
We had a wonderful week away from the city at Jess & Tom's home - we could not have asked for a better stay. Their home is so clean and welcoming; you cannot beat the many sun-filled rooms and ocean views. The location is very quiet and peaceful. We spent many hours either walking the beach or settling in on the large sectional couch with books or movies. We will definitely be back - one of our best stays away! Thank you, Jess & Tom!

Perfect Beachy Getaway
Perfect escape from the cities (DC and NYC) for our small group of friends. We traveled with 2 infants and the sitting room with a television, plush carpet, comfy couch, and spectacular ocean views was the perfect playroom. The beach was right outside for oceanside walks, and the quiet street was ideal for exploratory runs. Good for the group that wants to spend nights cooking and enjoying one another's company.

A perfect getaway in a perfect location
We stayed as a family over Thanksgiving, and it was a glorious getaway, especially during Covid. The location is ideal and the view of the ocean is fantastic, with the sunroom lined with windows.
The house itself is immaculate and completely updated. We stayed during colder weather, but it would be a perfect spot during summer months as well!
If you are looking for some room to spread out (2 living areas and many seating areas outside as well), this is a great find.
Finally, the hosts were excellent and extremely responsive to our questions and texts.
Would love to stay again.

Love how quiet and private this place was. It was adorable, clean, and very much pleasant. The kitchen had everything we needed. Great internet access and comfy couches. Adorable.
The only downfall was there is not direct beach access to walk on. to the beach. You have to walk about 5 -7 minutes for easy access but well worth it. And would also love some throw blankets on the couch areas.

Cozy off-season week on the beach
We - two couples - decided to escape DC for election week and relax near the beach. This was a wonderful home for the week away - plenty of space with 2 living rooms and an equipped kitchen. The home is closest to the beach for morning walks along the water or sunset happy hours. Access to the beach is located 50 yards away because of the dune, but it was not an inconvenience.
Jess and Tom were responsive, gracious, and created a great home where we hope to return.

Relaxation At It's Finest!
Jess & Tom are detail oriented people, providing everything you could want from a beach rental. They have chairs, umbrella's, a super fun high end "OutHouse"!, great views and literally steps to the awesome and uncrowded beach. The house was recently renovated so the beds are great, the kitchen includes all the necessities and the furniture is super comfortable! If you want to "get away from it all" then this is the best and most convenient place you will find.

Great beach house for a family
The house was gorgeous! We appreciated all the extras - shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in all showers, note cards, paper products, extra trash bags. The owners were very responsive when we had questions. Great location and quiet beach. Would love to return!
