Wochenende in Düsseldorfs Altstadt

Der Ort, direkt in der Altstadt.

Auf keinen Fall buchen!

Extrem herunter gekommen, viele Schäden an der Decke, den Wänden, überall fehlende Fussleisten, extrem dreckig (Haare in der Dusche, Fußboden nicht gewischt, Brand- und undefinierbare Flecken auf der Couch, dreckiger Tisch und Arbeitsplatte in der Küche) fehlender Trockner, Bilder entsprechen nicht der Beschreibung und sind offensichtlich veraltet, notdürftig reparierte Wohnungstür (es sieht so aus als wurde sie aufgebrochen). Komplett uneinsichtige Vermieter der Unterkunft. Haben die Unterkunft innerhalb von 30min wieder verlassen da eine Übernachtugn dort eine absolute Zumutung gewesen wäre. Frechheit so etwas anzubieten und dann auch noch die erste ÜN (die ja garnicht stattfand) zu berechnen inkl. REINIGUNGSKOSTEN! Absolute Unverschämtheit und dreist ohne Ende.

location location, location. You could not find better.

The location is the main plus of this property. It is right in the middle of the aldstad. All the main breweries that serve the alt beer that Dusseldorf is famous for are a few minutes away.

the main problem that we had was that the hot water in the shower did not work properly. It is a gas system and you would hear the gas come on, but then it would go off again? I am sure that this is just a setting that the owner will sort out. Luckily for us it was very hot so a coldish shower was not a major problem. In winter it would be different.

Excellent location, needs a revamp.

Location is excellent, right in the centre of the oldtown. You can walk easily to all shops and bars. Ali is extremely helpful, when we needed things he was very quick to deliver, could not fault, he looks after guests very well, and is quick to reply when you send a message.

The property is looking a bit tired compared to last time we stayed. There are cigarette burns in the sofa, tv is temperamental with a lot of hanging cables, and flat could do with a lick of paint. We think there was a leak at some point as the ceiling needs repairing, there's a temporary cover stapled on to hide the damage. Windows are very thin and don't keep out noise, don't forget your ear plugs!

GET EARPLUGS... the sound isolation is non-existent, and since it is a near center there is noise through the night. The sheets smelled of "dampness" like they didn't dry properly and were kept closed up somewhere. Everything in the apartment is as cheap as possible. The photographer needs an award for making those pics look 1000 better than in reality.

Highly recommend

The location is really good. It's located in the city center. I could go anywhere on foot. And Ali is friendly and helpful.

Since it's located in the center, there were some people who were totally drunk outside in the street on Friday. That's why it was noisy.

In the middle of everything

The appartment is located in the very center of the city. all key locations to visit are in the walking distance. The appartment is spacious and big enough for a family with kids, the layout of the appartment allows to comfortably stay from a couple of days to quite long period (we stayed 1+ month). The street is busy - there are 3 Italian restaurants on it, but in comparison with some other nearby streets the visitors are quite and keeping themselves in limits (unlike in streets with pubs where there is a lot of noise all through the night). All 3 restaurants are really good! There are 3 foods stores nearby - Lidle, Rewe and Aldi + there is a morning market at 5 minutes walk distance. All key shops are just 5-10 minutes away. 15 minutes walk to big department stores. It was nice to take walks along the river and to 3 nearby parks. There was a washing machine and a dryer in the appartment!

The garbage collecting car comes to collect garbage at 6 for the first time, then 7 and 8 in the morning. I was sleeping with earplugs, but always woke up with the sound of bottles beeing pored and broken. As the street is quiet and dark, sometimes some criminals were emerging late at night (after 1 am), so not 100% safe at this hour (not before) and laud sometimes. There is no dish washing machine in the appartment.
