Decent stay

The staff is always so nice & helpful. And the location is pretty convenient to everything.

This stay, a wedding party was on our floor. Screaming and yelling until after 2am, slamming door all up and down the hall. Not ideal when you have small children trying to sleep. Also- the bed is terrible. Like, just super uncomfortable. And the rooms have no microwaves. You have to go down to the lobby to heat things up which seems insane to me. We've stayed here once before this trip, but honestly we probably won't again unless it's a one night thing. We will spend the extra for the Airbnb we like right down the street.

A Quality Stay

The place was comfortable and clean and the price reasonable. Friendly staff. Good Breakfast. Location is close Beaufort if you dont mind driving to see the sights and driving a bit more for the beach.

The showerhead was overly restricting on water pressure.

Mixed impressions

The staff, especially Faith, were really helpful!

It was too far from downtown, so I wasn't able to easily visit shops & dine out. I didn't realize when booking there wouldn't be a microwave in the room; that was very inconvenient. If that is part of this brand's approach to providing amenities, then I won't be staying again. We still have high rates of covid in this country, so encouraging travelers to hang out in public spaces more by putting more amenities in the lobby is counter to what I need.

We came to see my son’s boot camp graduation and for family day . I was impressed with the hotel as soon as we walked in

Worst hotel stay I have ever had, hands down!

I had a 8 hour trip so I did not check into the Tru until midnight. The rooms were very small for the over $180 dollar a night price tag but the paper thin walls forced you to hear everything going on in all the rooms around you. The room directly above me jumped up and down on the floor for the 5 and a half hours I was supposed to sleep. Didn’t get a wink. The tv volume wouldn’t work and the tv would not turn off either, so I had a bright tv screen in my face to enjoy with the super loud and inconsiderate neighbors. To top it all off the AC would shut off constantly for no reason and there was a dog barking on the second floor. I payed for a late check out and when I voiced my complaints to the GM Faith because she asked, she told me that I would get a full refund but that I had to call booking.com because I booked through them. She also told me that there were numerous complaints and that she wouldn’t want to stay in any of the rooms at the Tru because they have paper thin walls. Pretty bad when the GM says that she wouldn’t want to stay at the property she is responsible for. Faith the GM said she would do her part to sharing with Booking.com, apparently that was a lie. I will never book through Booking.com ever again and I will definitely never stay in another awful Tru by Hilton and I will make sure to tell everyone I know about this experience.

Overpriced, noisy beyond belief, broken appliances and run by a GM who doesn’t keep her word.

The staff was friendly, courteous and available. The entire building was exceptionally clean I really appreciate that everyone took so much pride in their jobs.

This is my third stay in a Tru by Hilton and I look forward to a return stay.

The breakfast was wonderful and the coffee was excellent. The room was neat and clean. We especially liked the sugar lemon liquid soap in the shower.

The price I was quoted at reservation time was a few dollars less than my checkout receipt.

Clean but Spartan

Breakfast was fresh, warm, and sufficient. Room was spartan, as expected, but clean, with comfortable bed. Price was competitive for pricey city. Convenient to Beaufort City and Port Royal by car.

Clean towels have to be requested; TV has no local channels or live programming, just streaming channels; Could hear people walking around on floor above; no closet or bureau, just hangers above furnished fridge; no water cups in room.

looks nice bed sheets were nice and clean.

the refrigerator didn’t work. the bathroom toilet was not cleaned. there was hair and fecal matter from previous guests in and around the toilet lid. the shower floor was still dirty from previous guests. hair and dirt
