Diamond Beach Resort had very nice amenities. Our kids enjoyed the lazy river. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Galveston.

This is out 2nd time staying at Diamond Beach. Beautiful resort with good amenities and access the the seawall

Nice condo, clean upon arrival. Toiletries were a bit on the cheap side with one-ply toilet paper and no Kleenex. 10am check out is a bit excessive and not flexible when requesting later checkout.

This home gave us a wonderful time staying in Galveston with an excellent view of the ocean.
The house was very nice and bright. The furniture, appliances and decorations were top classes. We definitely like to stay here again next time visiting Galveston. Hopefully soon.

Our stay! We were so excited about about stay. Looked forward to this stay for a long time.
Had a few cons.. but overall it was a great stay.
Before our arrival we received a text, Then we arrived at check in time but room wasn’t available. We waited around in hall way. The resort inside, hallways, entertainment room, fitness center, ext. was clean.
Entering our room it was clean. There were some small areas that could have used cleaning.
The unit has a locked AC system. It doesn’t come down no lower than 70 degrees. The first night it was very warm, uncomfortable to sleeWe asked for fans but none available. There is a coffee pot but not a Keurig pod coffee pot. There is small amounts of Dove shampoo and conditioner and tiny dove soup bars and one washing liquid pod for washing clothing. (Which we had brought our own supplies.) two dishwashers pods and dish liquid. Plenty of wash cloths and towels.
There are no throw blankets in the living area. But pillows. Nice small patio area with patio furniture.
The wide open glass windows help you enjoy the beach view at all times in the kitchen or living area.
The beautiful pool area is nice. Needs some cleaning up around the pools and cabanas. The lazy river was relaxing and enjoyable. Could use some trimming of the trees around it. The white slide is not available to use. In the evening the mosquitoes are real bad.
Enjoy spa time.
The staff were very nice and helpful. Our stay above all was a great experience.

Great property with very nice amenities. A little off the busy part of the Seawall, but close enough to be convenient. Great little restaurant for take out directly across the street (Seahorse Grill).

This place was beautiful! Great location as promised! The lazy river and pool were both cold but that’s not the condo owners fault. The only thing we wish we knew earlier was that there was another elevator that goes right to the parking garage. The condo itself was stocked with everything we needed for a great stay! Highly recommend!

If you are begging to go to Galveston and need to stay at Diamond beach club because your life depends on it, and this is the only one left, then this would be the only time you should rent this unit at this price point. The bed in the master bedroom is actually a double, not a queen as advertised. There are no pans to cook with, so bring your own. Very ragged and sad couches, pillows and rug- feels like they were bought at Salvation Army. It is impossible to get ahold of Vacasa to discuss anything with them. We have stayed at Diamond beach club for years, usually 1-2 times per year and this is the worst unit we’ve ever rented. If it was maybe $250/night, then it would make more sense. But after taxes, fees etc, you’re paying $1k a night for this unit. It’s just not worth it. Look elsewhere.

Nice views of the beach from the condo. The condo was clean but few issues with appliances. I noted here someone staying preciously mentioned about the dishwasher rubber tubing off from inside the door, this issue still hasn’t been fixed and it’s almost off, there also seems to be damage on the inside bottom door so we didn’t use it. The toaster had steel wire coming up from the center that goes inside and again we didn’t use it. It was a nice condo but there was no hangers in the main bedroom and two in the bedroom with the bunk beds. For the cost per night I think the appliances should be fixed or replaced. Overall the complex is was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

We loved the condo and the property overall.

We stayed in this unit with our four young children during a hot stretch in November. The three bedroom unit worked out great. It was clean and as pictured. I will say, like other reviewers, it would be helpful if there were locks on the bathroom doors. There is no door to the master bathroom, it is all open and the bedroom door doesn't have a lock. If you value privacy this might be an issue. The kitchen was adequately stocked for light cooking, there was even a blender! All of the appliances worked well and the TVs were all smart TVs. Having a dryer was a godsend for all the wet towels. Speaking of towels, there were plenty of the plain, white bath towels, but no pool towels so we used the bath towels for both but some designated pool/beach towels would be nice.
This unit is nearly at the end of a VERY long hallway, so anticipate a lengthy walk to the elevators leading to the front desk/pool area. The pool area was the best part of our trip-- the outdoor pool, one hot tub and the lazy river were all fully functional during our stay even though it was off season (no water slide or pool bar, but we knew that ahead of time). The kids also used the indoor pool and the water was nice and warm!
I would also mention, this unit has a feel more like a hotel room than a home rental. There are no "homey" extras.... no salt and pepper shakers or coffee filters left from a previous guest, no beach toys hidden away in a closet. There are pluses and minuses to both types of rentals, but it's nice to know the "vibe" ahead of time!

Shines Like a Diamond #604 is a very cute condo. The resort amenities are great for kids (and adults)! Overall we had a great time and would rent the unit again. Unit could use some improvements, like locks on the bedroom and bathroom doors (you CANNOT un-see grandpa on the toilet). Master room has a great bathroom, but the toilet has no privacy door. The ice maker only made 4 pieces of ice in 4 days. Would be nice if there were plastic cups/plates for kids and a beach bag or wagon. It's a long walk to the beach.
Great job on the number of towels and pillows in the unit. The unit needs a broom and mop available for use. No way to clean up after yourself.
Resort has a wonderful lazy river, 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, free arcade, indoor and outdoor game area. The swim up bar is nice, but the bar tenders seemed more interested in being on their phones than working. Resort grounds are kept super clean. The lead security guard is GREAT! He doubled as the concierge and practically worked 24/7.

This is a beautiful property in a great location. The Lazy River is the longest I have ever seen and the pools were beautiful. We could easily walk to the ocean and enjoy the great waves. The condo needs a new coffee maker (leaked at the bottom) and the dishwasher has a rubber lining that needs to be replaced. It was clean and really fun though!

We’ve visited Diamond Beach most summers over the last 9 years. This particular condo was not as well-kept as others we have used. I sent two questions to the rental company and never got responses. The master bathroom toilet didn’t have a door on it, which we thought was really odd. TVs in the bedrooms didn’t work when we tried them. Some of the glasses in the kitchen need to be thrown away (the ones that look crackled - they actually have little pieces of glass sticking out that stuck in my hand). Cabinet in the master bathroom has screws sticking out right at ankle height (on the side by the shower).
We love Diamond Beach and will visit again but will rent a different unit. Also, it should be noted that the water slide is not currently open. DB seems short-staffed, but I think that is to be expected most places right now. No one was enforcing the “no smoking” policy on the grounds. AC seemed to be out in the game room and both pinball machines were broken.

This is a great property. It's clean. The premises is great. The only thing wrong with it is Vacasa managing it. Vacasa's check-in process and communication is an absolute dumpster fire. To make this property perfect would be the owners getting rid of Vacasa and finding someone local that is more involved.

Great Place!
Great place. Lots of amenities and wonderful location. Would have liked to have parked in the garage due to the mess the birds leave on your car.

Great space for my party of 4 it was myself and 3 teenagers. The apartment was exactly as the pictures had showed. The property was great and very family friendly. We will definitely be back and will be referring friends and family to stay here.

Great View
Loved it. Great view. Easy check in and out. Definitely beats staying in a hotel. Some of the fees were a little excessive. wouldn't be bad if staying a longer period but we were only there for one night. Only complaint was ice maker in freezer is broken.

Beautiful, roomy, clean, efficient, but had a couple issues I could work-around
This property is very clean and in a great location. We did have sufficient towels for 1 adult & 1 child. If going in the winter months, take an extra blanket or two (or use the heat via thermostat which was working fine).
All appliances were working well: Refrigerator w/Freezer, Dishwasher, Microwave, Stove, Oven, Washer & Dryer. (The ice maker on Freezer is broken - so find your own ice).
There were adequate dishes, pots, pans, cooking tools, but could use more utensils (silverware).
Every bedroom & the Family room did have a TV, however, ONLY the Master Bedroom had working Xfinity. This would be a problem for anyone wanting to watch TV. I had a work-around via hooking my HDMI on my laptop to the Family Room TV and logged into my own account. Not every one would be happy with that solution. At a minimum the Family Room should have working services + the Master. The other rooms would be necessary to have service if larger groups are staying. I liked the deep guest bath-tub.
The view was AMAZING.
Access to beach was EASY.
The kids playroom on site was nice for my son.
Heated indoor pool on site was great for winter months.
I'll likely come back during the summer to make use of the lazy river and outdoor pool.
Site staff were really nice and coffee available 24/7 was a plus.
We did look at on-site game-room, theater, workout facility, Spa, etc. (All would be great for those not glued to a 4 year-old. lol )
Lastly, for the unit owner:
-advise to have all TVs hooked up with internet and/or cable (or at least state they aren't hooked up but renter can bring their own device/game/laptop, etc.)
-interior could use a fresh coat of paint
-door-latch on patio is broken (mentioned in other reviews) but not really an issue (who's going to climb up to the 6th floor balcony to break-in ?)
-Patio door is working great and appears hurricane proof (I never heard any air or sound coming through the door as a previous review stated).
-I never got the large whirlpool/jetted tub to work which was a negative (but we did use for just for hot baths).
Overall, we really enjoyed the stay very much
The unit had plenty of room for my son to set up all his toys & train-sets. It was relaxing, convenient, nicely furnished, and clean.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the rain-shower in master shower !!!
Last bonus, were the on-site two-tray luggage carts to roll my stuff from the car to the unit. They saved my back and reduced my overall stress.
Elevators were super fast.

Too many maintenance issues for a property this expensive
This is a beautiful property with some great features. The views were spectacular even though the balconies allow you to remain private. I personally loved the walk-in shower.
However, all of the beautiful features were overshadowed by the lack of basic maintenance and cleanliness. The main hall, bedroom, patio, and bathroom lights flickered. Exposed wiring coming out of the wall in the room with the bunk-beds. One of the toilets constantly ran but wouldn't flush. Most of the counters were dirty on arrival.
The oven didn't get hot so we needed to reheat food in small portions in the microwave. We chose this premium location so we could eat in, which became a major problem.
The final straw was finding out the washer didn't work. Not only did it not work, but we fought with it for nearly an hour trying to get our clothes back out of it.
I wanted to love this property, but we couldn't with all of these issues.

DBR is a nice respite stay. Relaxing in its atmosphere, wonderful views and just far enough away from the bustle of Galveston, yet close enough to all its attractions to enjoy.
This unit did have some minor issues. The washing machine didn’t work, drawers in the master bath were broken. Housekeeping could’ve done a better job precleaning. It was a little dirty.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Horrible do not waste Your money or ruin your vacation.
Appliances do not work , they have no intentions of fixing them. When I asked for someone to bring us clean towels since the washer was broke , I was told to go buy some .

Our Review is pretty much the same as the prior two renters. The oven does not work and was reported with no repair people calling or showing up. The inconvenience was more than a little irritating. Again, this is a 2 bath not a 2.5 bath unit as advertised. Also, one of the dishwasher hinges is broken. The unit was clean, great location and the property is fantastic. We were just disappointed with the lack of attention and no follow-up by Vacasa concerning the oven situation. Along with our inability to cook and prepare meals, we had to arrange for meals out for the entire stay.
