Tucked right up on Snowmass Mountain, the Shadowbrook condos have an amazing location offering ski-in/out access. If convenience, value and classic ski chalet charm are what you are looking for, unit 204 is an ideal place to call home during your stay in Snowmass. This two bedroom plus den/3 bath condo is ideal for family or friends interested in finding an affordable vacation rental with great amenities in the heart of all the action. The master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom offers great flexible bedding to accommodate a wide variety of travel companions. You will find a queen bed and a twin bunk bed in this room along with a flat screen TV and an en-suite bath. The den area can be closed off with an accordion door and is appointed with two twin day beds, providing a total of 6 separate beds to sleep up to 8 people.
The living/kitchen area also has an adjoining den and all spaces provide ample seating for relaxing and dining. The open floor plan with comfortable indoor furnishings along with the patio table on the balcony offers many gathering spots for great conversation with your traveling companions during your stay. The fully stocked kitchen allows you to prepare all your favorite dishes during your vacation. The amazing ski-in and out access you have when staying at the Shadowbrook makes it simple to take a midday break for a quick lunch in the condo! Unit 204 is on the second floor with easy access via the elevator or stairs. The incredible restaurants in Snowmass are all within a short walk so dining out is also just as convenient.
Guests staying in this condo will enjoy the mountainside seasonal outdoor heated pool and hot tubs. All condos have outdoor patios or balconies with gas grill. You can relax by the pool and take in the view of skiers or hikers enjoying Snowmass Mountain or on your balcony while you grill your dinner and enjoy and apres ski/hike beverage. There is a complimentary covered parking spot for one vehicle however the local free shuttle service is just 1/2 block away and can take you to the grocery or the main transit station to catch a free shuttle to any of the other ski mountains. A car is definitely not necessary when staying at Shadowbrook.

Only con: The unit is very outdated, from the appliances to the decor. We saw various units surrounding and they all seem to be have been updated. Simple fix though.

Everything arranged through itrip on our February ski week in Aspen was reliable, helpful and friendly, including all of the recommendations for dining and for an emergency trip to the hospital! The condo perfectly suited our needs for the entire week, was very spacious and comfortable for four of us. When we needed help opening the building's locked ski cabinet, itrip took our calls late at night and early in the morning until we got it open...and they found room in their small office for all of the luggage for 8 travelers while we ate breakfast before our airport pickup! Can't think of anything that was not done well.
One suggestion for the Shadowbrook complex: the signs on the garbage bin for separated recyclables should be clearer as recycling rules are different everywhere: some but not all plastic/ plastic bottles but not caps/ only corrugated cardboard/ newspapers but not color inserts, etc, etc, etc.

The location of this place alone is enough to give it 5 stars. But everything else was equally great. The decor is a little dated, but it was totally charming (in our opinion!) and everything was very clean and well appointed. Check in and parking was a breeze, and property management checked in during our trip to make sure all was well. Loved the wood burning fireplace and the view was beautiful. True ski in and ski out. We’d happily go back!

Unit was clean, as advertised and very convenient to the slopes and amenities of snowmass village. Beds were comfortable and we had no issues with anything. Only negative is that the unit is outdated. Most things in the kitchen/bathrooms haven’t been updated. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable convenient place to stay while visiting Snowmass village, this is a very good option.

This was absolutely the best family trip ever!! The skiing was so amazing!! Snowmass is great! Wonderful food and everything is walking distance or a short bus that is free!! Our condo was so clean and Itrip was wonderful making sure our checkin was ok. The location was so amazing you walk out the door and you were on the mountain or just walk 2 minutes and you were at the mall. Hope to be back soon and I will book through Itrip.

Fabulous stay in Shadowbrook 204
Shadowbrook 204 was a fabulous place for my family (hubby, son, mom and me) to stay for a week of skiing at Snowmass. It's very spacious, effectively 3 bedrooms (one is the den that can become a sleeping area with an accordion wall) with 3 ensuite bathrooms. Unit has a great retro vibe that I love...pre-COVID, we stayed for years at Mountain Chalet (just above Shadowbrook) because we loved their retro vibe and the location--this is mid-century modern compared to Mountain Chalet and similarly convenient ski-in ski-out location. Unit was incredibly clean (I am picky)! And the in-unit laundry closet was a treat. (I was expecting to use the complex's common laundry room, one level down.) Kitchen is very well stocked--at other rentals, we've had to run the dishwasher less than full because we've run out of clean glasses or spoons or something, but not the case here--plenty of everything such that we only ran the dishwasher full. Note that the stove (older electric model) takes a long time to heat up. Hot tubs and pool were great and well maintained--the hotter adult grotto tub lost heat one day but they had it fixed in a day. Elevator was handy when dealing with luggage or tired legs. Honestly can't imagine a better place to stay--we will hope to book for our future Snowmass trips!

Location. Location. Location. Admittedly, this is is neither a new building, nor a new unit. But, any minor accommodations required for a charming "older" property are far, far outweighed by the joy of watching your children swish by on the slopes from the living room window - without having spent their first semester's college tuition for the privilege.
