Red Feather Lakes is a beautiful and secluded mountain town. Check out the feature story from 9news.com to see more details, just search for "Red Feather Lakes". They claim that it's a great town to do nothing, but we'd argue that it's a fantastic place to rejuvenate, spend time in nature, reconnect with your loved ones and enjoy the cool mountain air.
Red Feather Lakes is accessible by paved roads, although the last 1/4 miles from the main road to the cabin is a dirt road. This dirt road is maintained year-round. The driveway is long and a bit steep. 4WD is recommended during the winter, but all cars are able to climb the driveway the rest of the seasons.

We three seniors plus our pug had a delightful time in this cabin. The kitchen was well appointed, which is important because we cook due to dietary limitations. The rooms were clean, neat, and comfortably decorated, and the views were fine. We spent 3 days exploring the Poudre Canyon, the nearby stupa, and just the decks--nothing better than sunshine and wine on a deck facing mountains. But we were also lucky to have a moose amble by the cabin one morning and a young buck the last day. We remembered to bring the hummingbird feeder inside because their flights had already taken place. Thanks for a great stay!

We love this property and the area. It's a short drive from several communities in Northern Colorado and just a beautiful cabin. Well stocked, clean, and great location in the area. We've stayed more than once and hope to continue our visits. Of course, the dogs love it, too!

My family stayed here during our wedding at Phantom Ranch and the property was gorgeous. The home was in immaculate condition and was in such a gorgeous area.

Four adults and three children spent five nights at this great cabin. We ate most of our meals at the picnic table on the front deck due to the perfect weather and lack of bugs. The location and setting were perfect, and the cabin is spacious and tastefully decorated. This was our third stay in Red Feather Lakes and by far the best experience.

We had a great time at the property. It was clean and comfortable with all of the amenities we expected. The owners were responsive and friendly, as were the couple that cleaned the house before and after us. We cooked, played games, and enjoyed the natural beauty of the area. Anniversary Getaway
The cabin is a lovely retreat from the world! We made food for the hummingbirds and put out bird seeds for the other mountain visitors. They were a delight. The setup is very functional & our stay was a pleasure once we mastered the fire pit -- Thanx, Joel! Everything we needed was there for sure! With all the fees, it's a bit pricey but you only have one 41st anniversary.

Great place
The house fit our needs for number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The master bedroom tv wouldn’t show any other input other than AV1. HDMI was not available. Brand new Amazon firestick wouldn’t work on tv in the den, but an older Roku worked. Sound bar didn’t work either. The outside yard was fun with all the rocks. Enjoyed seeing all the hummingbirds and chipmunks.

What an amazing cabin! Extremely clean and lots of space to move around. Our kids loved playing on and exploring the granite boulders in the front. Joel and Janelle were very gracious, accommodating hosts. We will most definitely return in the future.
