About this house rental
My husband and I stumbled upon this cozy home at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay in historic Havre de Grace. Only a few miles to I-95 for easy access to Philadelphia, Baltimore,Washington D.C. or New York City. A two story home with the bedroom and dressing room on the second floor. On the main floor as you walk in, there is a large porch with a combo lock box for easy entrance. A small couch/bedroom to the side has a window air conditioner. The main room has a baby grand piano which you are welcome to play. We have internet and wifi with a TV and an electric fireplace for chilly nights . The dining area and kitchen have microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. There is a door leading to the large fenced in back yard with a large pet door. We welcome pets, there is a $200 Non- refundable pet fee( with references). Yes, the cats and dogs in the photos are real to let you know if you have allergies, this is not the place for you. Our pets are with us at our other home. The bath area is a newer shower with seat and a washing machine is available for use. Clothes can be air dried either on the line outside or the drying rack upstairs. There is a cot available for one extra guest. The upstairs bedroom has a window AC unit and a King size mattress. The closet and all dressers, nightstand drawers available to the guests in both bedroom.
Every weekend there seems to be a music, art or cultural festival. But, I have another home and are not able to take advantage of all the great events and happenings. Walk to restaurants, theater, the Opera House, Library, Post Office, Museums and the beautiful water. Go sailing, Kayaking, Paint, Hike the Lafayette Trail or enjoy Bombay's treats. Hollywood Casino and The Great Wolf Lodge is only a few miles away. Please note that the police department is only 1 1/2 blocks away and there are 5 fire departments in this town. Great for safety concerns, but sometimes the siren will go off.

Visiting for a workshop. The accommodations were very nice. Our host made every effort to make sure we had what we needed, even welcoming us with a box of wine in the fridge.
The house is just a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants but still on a quiet street. We were able to park right in front of the house.

This cozy home was perfect for me and my dog for an extended stay! We loved walking in HdG every day and went on several hikes throughout the area. The kitchen was well-appointed and I found everything I needed and then some! Suzanne left a bottle of wine for me, and she was responsive and made herself available for any issues/questions. I loved my time here and look forward to visiting again. Thank you for sharing your home with me!

Cute small home in the heart of Havre De Grace! The temps dropped; lots of snow fell; creating a winter wonderland. Host was attentive, kind and took immediate care of all unforeseen winter challenges. Home well-stocked with items to make stay both comfortable and welcoming.

Traveling with my dogs for an event in the nearby area. The fenced yard was great and very enjoyed. The home is quaint, clean & comfortable. Suzanne has information nicely organized & was easy to communicate with. The location is close to a lot of great restaurants & things to see. Thank you for a pleasant trip experience. Wish I'd had piano lessons to be able to play the beautiful grand piano.

Quaint, picturesque cottage reminiscent of small Gingerbread Houses on Martha’s Vineyard. Great access to town!! Cozy and comfortable, loved the porch and small fenced in yard! :)

The house was very clean ! It was a little small but I think it was all the furniture ! Very comfortable King size bed ! This house is perfect if your traveling with your doggies Chico loved the yard !

Suzanne’s home was very cozy and the location was perfect. It was quiet, but walking distance from everything we needed. The kitchen was well-stocked and everything felt very homey. Suzanne was very sweet and communicative, checking in with us to make sure we were enjoying our trip. She was also very flexible with check-in and check-out, which was much appreciated! We would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay here in this quiet neighborhood. So much was within an easy walking distance! The yard was a plus. The house had everything we needed, and Suzanne was very responsive and kind.

Suzanne is an amazing hostess! The house is definitely cozy and homey - not your place if you're looking for posh or minimalistic - we loved it. Easy walk to downtown with lots of shops and restaurants as well as the Promenade along the waterfront and three little parks. The kitchen has everything you could need and linens were plentiful. Would definitely stay again.

Her home is within easy walking distance of coffee shops and dog friendly restaurants. Exactly what my wife, I and two Australian Shepherds needed.

The host communicated well. The house is modest with low ceilings, a soft bed, and a floor plan with the bathroom on the first floor and the bedroom on the second floor. The rear yard would be good for dogs.

The cottage was perfect for my mama and me! Everything worked out really well.The location was great, close to everything. Having the yard was a bonus for my brother and his dog. We loved setting out on the front porch and having breakfast in the back yard. Your cottage is a beautiful place and we absolutely loved it.

The home is very quaint and full of beautiful antiques and unique pictures. The fenced yard was great for our dog. We have lived in HavredeGrace before and found it has not changed very much...and that is a good thing. Easy walking distance to stores and attractions

We had an overall great stay. Suzanne is very welcoming and attentive to guests’ needs. Great location - we were able to make day trips to Philly, Baltimore and Lancaster. Quiet neighborhood. Bed was very comfy. Shower seemed brand new and very clean. We definitely appreciate being able to stay here!

We were in HDG for the weekend and were very pleased with the house and location. We walked to downtown HDG and found everything to be very close by. The house is small and cozy and Suzanne could not have been more solicitous of us. Also recommend the State Theatre and the Vintage Cafe. Also great is the tourism center that has lots of info. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

We had a wonderful time. The location in Havre De Grace is excellent. We enjoyed walking down to get coffee and on to the promenade each morning. Have the fenced in yard to let our dog out was extremely convenient. For those with mobility issues note the main bedroom is upstairs with a very comfortable king-size bed and the bathroom is downstairs. Also as many older homes the ceilings are low The hosts were extremely accommodating and considerate.

Suzanne was able to accommodate us for a very last-minute booking, and we were so thankful. She is very communicative and had everything ready for us. We had a wonderful stay! The house is located in the heart of town, super close to everything. The big restaurants were just a one-minute drive away. If the weather is nice, it makes for a lovely walk to things. We were happy it was a very dog-friendly home so we were able to bring our pooch. There's a nice big fenced in backyard and there was even a big bowl of water waiting for him. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook and the grocery store is nearby. We can't wait to stay again!

From the moment I pulled up I knew I was going to have a relaxing stay. Suzanne was there to meet me and was super kind and sweet. She took me in and explained the workings of the house to me and if I needed anything else to just call her.
The house was charming with a decent sized back yard which was perfect for my dog Bailey. The king sized bed upstairs was luxurious and I slept amazingly while I was there. The house was close to shops and sites in Havre De Grace and I’d definitely stay there again if I’m ever in town again.
Overall this was one of the best stays I’ve ever had on Vrbo and I can’t wait to visit again.

Enjoyable long weekend stay
The property was a perfect fit for my husband and me and close enough to restaurants and sites to walk. The owner was very accessible and asked prior to our arrival what our beverage of choice was for morning and evening. I was surprised to find freshly ground coffee and wine for our enjoyment. We will definitely be back in the future!

Suzanne was amazing and so was Havre de Grace. The town was very nice for walks and easily accessible. Great location and not far from Port Deposit which has some great food too! It was nice getting experience another part of the US in Suzanne’s house. Definitely a hidden gem.
