This spacious, 8BR/6.5 BEACHFRONT dream home boasts 6 King beds, 2 Double Bunk Beds (Double/Twin), 1 Daybed w/ Trundle and 2 Queen Sleeper Sofas to accommodate up to 20 total guests, perfect for multiple families!
The first bedroom is located on the ground floor with a Double Bunk bed which opens into a separate game room with pool table. Upstairs on the 2nd floor are 4 King Master bedrooms (2 Gulf Front Masters!) each with a private bathroom and deck access, a 2nd living room with Queen sleeper sofa, laundry room with full size washer/dryer and both Gulf and pool facing covered decks.
The main living area can be found on the 3rd floor. This large, open space has a Queen sleeper sofa, ½ bath, a well-equipped kitchen with views of Bob Sike’s Cut, 2nd refrigerator and an additional washer/dryer. A furnished covered deck overlooks the white sand beach and Gulf of Mexico. This floor also boasts a Gulf front Master suite with jetted tub and shower, and has access to the covered beachfront deck.
Just beyond the dining area, a stairwell opens onto the top floor suite, a comfortable space for a small family or older children. The suite includes a convenient mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and Double bunk bed as well as access to a covered balcony overlooking the private pool. Thru this room is a Gulf front Master bedroom with King bed, Daybed w/ trundle and full bathroom with shower. A private balcony completes this space with Gulf and beach views.
Additional amenities include a convenient elevator which travels from the ground level to the top floor suite to make loading/unloading a breeze, park style charcoal grill and a private screened pool with optional pool heat ($400 + tax for the week). The carport has covered parking for two vehicles, a fish cleaning sink and enclosed outdoor shower. A pet friendly home, we allow up to 2 medium size dogs with advance approval for a $150 pet fee.
Just a short stroll along the shared beach boardwalk located next to the property leads you to white sand beaches and to Bob Sike’s Cut for fishing from the jetties or the best Sunset views around! Loved the location and the amount of guests this home could accommodate but it is a little tired and in need of some love! The bottom floor bunk room and pool room are not air conditioned and the top floor including a king bedroom and 2nd bunk room stay very warm all of the time. Fans in these rooms help but if you need to be cool at night you may find this miserable. Love the 2 large dining tables in the common area but all the chairs and stools are in need of attention - very worn and wobbly! Love the seating on the balconies and the location to Bob Sykes Cut. The kitchen appliances are all due to be replaced as well but pretty well stocked.

This is our second year staying at Turtley Rad and it was another great year. The owners have made some really nice improvements since last year (new living room furniture, repaired the ice maker and second dishwasher). While it is definitely on the more secluded side of the island, we enjoyed watching the boat traffic through Sikes Cut, and the sunsets were beautiful. We saw countless dolphin through the week. The only reason we aren’t returning to this amazing house next year is because we need a smaller sized. If we ever need an 8 bedroom again, we’ll do our best to come back to this one!

First, the size of the house was perfect for our reunion of 16 adults and two small children. The view from the house is to die for. Wonderful covered porches to view the ocean. The beds were comfortable and the beddings were clean. However, there were a few issues: one of the double door in the main room was not functioning. The light in the main room was out so it was hard to see to do laundry there. The kitchen was disorganized in that it took some work to find things. The ovens were somewhat dirty and there was no oven mitts anywhere. The furniture were well worn. Despite those, our stay was wonderful. Forgotten Shores staff were helpful, friendly, and communicated consistently with updates as needed.

we Loved every minute!! This house was amazing ! Huge , several bedrooms , great king size beds , awesome porches with spectacular views. we were there in April so we had a rainy day and some chilly weather , but we love the beach so it was ok. Highly recommend this place , will defininetly stay here again if we come back to this location for vacation!

Beautiful home with fantastic views! This is our third family reunion staying at Turtley Rad, and we love it here. This house is well laid out, with comfortable beds and plenty of gathering space. A big shout out to Lindsay and Jamie at Forgotten Shores - they are professional, friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have a great trip. We were so impressed they turned the house over quickly after a near-miss from Hurricane Idalia, keeping us informed the whole time. We'll be back!

We have been taking family beach vacations for over 40 years and this ranks up as the best one every! Turtley Rad was a great layout for socializing with family or finding quiet time to relax. The kitchen is on the smaller size for a house that big, but we found it to be well equipped with all the pots, pans, serving bowls, dishes and silverware that we needed. The house is about a 20 minute drive from "downtown" but we don't go out to dinner so that was fine with us! The house is older, so it could use some TLC like fixing some cabinets in the kitchen and repairing the second dishwasher, but that didn't detract from our stay. The biggest inconvenience was no bathroom on the first floor for our son staying in that room...but he showered in the outdoor private shower and loved it and just used our bathroom as needed. We already booked our trip for 2024 and are looking forward to another great trip to St George Island!

Direct access to the beach, nice pool and the location of the home is remote enough (10 minutes from town) that we did not leave unless we went as a group. Great place for a family get together. The vacation home has a lovely view and decks were amazing. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels and beach towels. As the weather wasn’t overly warm we enjoyed the heated pool. The staff at the rental company was amazing with answering all my questions and helping coordinate this last min rental. We saw numerous large sharks very close to the shore.

Extremely disappointing house. The trundle bed upstairs has springs sticking through. My niece had to fold 3 blankets to be able to sleep on. The furniture is very tired. The individual sofa sleeper looked like it came from Goidwill. Sleepers r usually in a separate room or game room. Two were in the main gathering room where u would not put ppl. We could not use them. Several receptacles didn't work. One person could not use their C-pap bc of this. There was an open, moldy hold leaking water above one shower. Tge kitchen was full of useless trinkets. 4 wine openers, 3 cheese graters. Every drawer n cabinet was filled so we had to compact all to be able to put food items in. There were about 15 beautiful serving bowls n platters but the cookware was abysmal. Looked like beat up items from thrift store, no large pots. If u want to cook for more than 10 ppl bring large pots. There were 2 6 at slow cookers, one did not work. Coming down from the top floor in the elevator it paused so long between each floor that I started reading the emergency info. We did enjoy the icemaker and my king size mattress was excellent.

Turtley Rad is the perfect home for your vacation! It is well laid out, I love the windows that allow you to see the beach. The kids love walking on the jetties and watching the boats go in and out. And so many dolphins! The house is well equipped and even has a kayak and beach toys. Working with Forgotten Shores was great - they are professional and friendly, easy to work with and even made suggestions that improved our trip. You can't go wrong here!

The house was nice for our group of 17. A few surprises , 1. The downstairs was not used at all due to the bedroom being isolated with no bathroom on that floor . (2) the price was increased due to availability which I understand, but the increase was too much for the actual condition of the house It is an older house at a prime location We would return to the house, but would hope a few minor needed repairs would be done..Overall a 3.5 compared to expectations The general condition wasa 4. It was a wonderful week in a beautiful home. It was our second year with 19 people, good weather and a comfortable and well-furnished home. We eat in for all of our meals, and one could not ask for a better equipped kitchen. Everything one could one and a few more tools. Two dishwashers (though one needed repair), an ice maker, two refrigerators, all kinds of small appliances and utensils. We did have to call for a door repair on Sunday and Monday morning the repairman was there and did an excellent job. The pool was clean and the outdoor equipment was very welcome. Also, the bikes and canoes through VayKay were well used and in great condition. Our family ranged from 2 years old to 78 and everybody had a great time. The elevator was especially great for our older folks and for transporting luggage and food. We hope to return next year if the price isn’t too much more!

Ultimate Beach House
Our family of about 20 loved the House. Four stories right on the beach and loved it. Each floor has a balcony facing the beach! It’s a great set up for big families. The pool was perfect..we had some maintenance issues but they were fixed quickly. I stayed on the very top floor which I would recommend to grab..it has a steam option in the double shower. Two dishwashers made our big meals easier to clean up as well. Bring your grocery essentials (like your hard to find off the path stuff) the store on the island is small.
Everyone in our crew had a great time here!

Great February Getaway
Description on VRBO was very accurate as were the reviews. Great house for large families or couples. Beach was amazing. We went to Apalachicola and St George for lunch and cooked dinners at the house. The kitchen was well equipped but bring spices with you. We so enjoyed our getaway! Thank you to the management team that was very responsive!

Overall the house was well laid out and in good condition. I would say that the size of the kitchen for the size of the house was fairly small and the appliance in the kitchen needed some love. One dishwasher door was extremely difficult to close and the oven was a bit scary to use.

Turtley Rad is an awesome house - we had multiple families gather to celebrate my father's birthday. The floor plan is open with great views from the floor to ceiling windows. The layout was perfect with plenty of privacy as well as space for groups to gather. Being near the cut was great; you can see the sunrise and sunset, and the kids loved exploring the jetties. Forgotten Shores, the realty company, was exemplary! Jamie was friendly, responsive, accomodating of requests and was the best I've worked with on the island! This home will be a treat for your vacation - we'll be back!

Forgotten Shores Properties was professional and quick to respond to my concerns. Unfortunately we visited just before a tropical storm came through. A couple of the windows in the house allowed water to pass through. We soaked it up with towels until the storm passed, but it was obvious that this was not the first time water entered the house this way. The house needs probably $120,000.00 of work to realize it's potential. The registers in the ceiling drip water, the wood floors have been damaged and repaired (poorly), the furniture is worn and stained, the ceilings are stained, etc. Despite that, I would stay there again just for the location and the fact that our dogs could stay with us. It was comfortable, and the elevator was fabulous for carrying our luggage and groceries. There is not a better location on the island for our needs. Not many people around, jetties close by if you like to fish, and the beach is in your back yard so you can easily run up to the house for your sunglasses or whatever you forgot to bring to the beach.

We found Turtley Rad as described online. Any problems that came up were quickly addressed. Overall it was in good condition. It does need some touch up - signs of water leaks on ceiling, mold in ice maker, old toilet seats, bulbs out in some of the lights (sconces, lamps), etc. Love the ice makers! We normally have to make runs for ice every day. We didn't with ice makers. Love the solar panels! For us room with pool table on lower floor was a waste - bathroom on lower floor would have been great with bunk room and pool outside. Boardwalk for house is a public boardwalk! This results in beachfront being shared with multiple parties since there is no private boardwalk. Credit for beach gear is great! Our group cooks dinner every night. Kitchen became a bottleneck at times. If you don't have someone tall staying with you - you may need to bring a step stool to reach the higher cabinets in the kitchen. We requested a food processor and it was brought to the house. Beach equipment at house does include kayak and paddle. There are also beach chairs that can be used. Outdoor shower is great (hot water!) - it does need cleaning.

Our family of 23 spent a week on St George Island. We reserved our site through Forgotten Shores. I worked with Jamie Rex from beginning to the end. She was delightful, courteous, friendly and very helpful. We had family members from 18 months to 74 and everyone quickly after a few days on the island asked if we can come back again. Our house was beautiful, the location was perfect and very convenient. We have been on two Disney Cruises and everyone said they would choose this vacation as the best. Thank you Jamie for helping me create a vacation that was filled with fun, excitement, and magical.

We had 15 adults and one infant and logistically, it was fine...the outdoor shower helped lots! The house and outdoor spaces are beautifully appointed, kitchen fully equipped, two fridges, three ice makers, two dishwashers, two washer/dryers. Some age shown in kitchen, but all in all it was a great location for our group. Twenty four in the house would definitely be a bit much. Also the walkway to beach is public access, fyi. CLEAN AND COMFY AND BEACHY. What more could you want? Loved the detailed beach decor. Forgotten Shores folks were GREAT.

All the bedrooms were comfortable and the listing is very accurate. We will certainly use this house again when we return with a large group to St. George Island.
