About this apartment rental
Located in the gated compound of Gentle Winds, you are surrounded by tropical splendor from the moment you arrive. Situated on over 60 acres, there are 9 buildings on the grounds and our building is the only one that is truly beachfront and mere steps from the beautiful white sand. Combine paradise with our low prices and your vacation is off to a great start.
This beachfront split level condo has 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms and a full kitchen. 2 of the bathrooms are on the first level and the 3rd is in the master bedroom on the second level. All 3 bathrooms recently renovated.
The master bedroom has a queen bed and it also has a private balcony facing the sea. Bedroom 2 and 3 are on the lower level. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and bedroom 3 has two twin beds that can be converted to a king upon request.
There is a spacious screened porch off of the living area as well as a dining table for six guests. There is also a second floor loft sitting area with a private balcony and convertible sofa.

The Gentle Winds compound is a beautifully maintained property with numerous amenities. An Olympic size swimming pool, 2 tennis courts, basketball court, chipping green, shuffle board, ping pong, game room and a clubhouse are all right on the Gentle Winds grounds. The Beach Shack Bar and Grill serves up tropical drinks and food right on the premises with that touch of island flair. Check or ask for seasonal hours but typically the Beach Shack is closed for September and part of October.
Gentle Winds is located on the North Shore of the island. Christiansted is approximately a 10-15 minute drive where you will find a large grocery store, department store, mall and lots of wonderful restaurants.

Well equipped, nicely decorated. Great location close to the water. Extra fans were appreciated.
Manager was quick to respond regarding questions or concerns.
Pictures accurately represent the furnishings, but found the first floor beds are much higher than normal (about 36inches from the floor in seaside room.)
Overall, a pleasant stay.

Absolutely loved the Gentle Winds Property and this Unit was perfect for our family of 6! It was right on the beach, and just a short walk to the pool and beach shack. We cannot wait to come back!

We had a great visit to this beautiful condo in Gentle Winds! The condo was beautifully decorated and appointed with everything one could expect and more. Comfortable beds and living space. New washer/dryer and kitchen appliances. Plenty of linens and beach towels, even with 4 kids. The condo was very quiet, maybe just because of off season, and we were often the only ones at the pool or beach. Beach shack open 12-4:30p only with drinks until 5pm. Other than them we never saw another person from the community. The beach is beautiful but not the best for swimming or for kids playing. Very rocky and the rocks/reef make it too shallow to even pass to deeper water. So they have a buoy line up to show where to swim. Small area but doable for the older ones. Overall we loved the place and would definitely rec to those wanting a quiet place.

We rented 6 condo's for a family vacation and this was by far the most updated and well appointed out of all of them. The pictures don't do it justice, the unit was beautiful. Perfect location with a very short walk to the beach and pool. The shack has the best drinks and great food, I would highly recommend the Ahi nacho's, they were fantastic. if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay I would recommend booking this unit. We will be back.

I would definitely stay at this condo again. Perfect access to the beach, pool, and the Sunny Shack for drinks and food. It was far enough away from the cities to be quiet, but within 10-15 mins from Christiansted when we wanted to venture out. Condo has been renovated recently and was very nice. Ziggy, the community cat, was waiting at our door to greet us many nights. G-man, Boz, and Nick at the Sunny Shack were great with the food and kept my drink cup filled. Will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. It was the nicest condo we have rented at any of the beach vacations we have had. Everything was clean and very comfortable, with great views. Robin was very responsive to all communication. I highly recommend!

There were 6 of us all ages and we love our oceanfront paradise. It was exactly what the pictures looked like stocked with a bunch of supplies, and very clean. I would recommend this place to everyone. It has it all, also our favorites Caribbean Adventures snorkeling at Buck Island, and Mermaid Adventures. Can’t wait to Olán my next trip

We loved EVERYTHING about this condo!! Super clean, absolutely amazing views, short walk to the beach, plenty of room for my family of four and all the conveniences needed to make it a comfortable and enjoyable stay!! If we come back to St. Croix, and we definitely hope to, this is exactly where we will choose to stay again!

By far one our fav places we have stayed in 30+ visits to the Virgin Islands. Unit was very well done and clean and so close to the beach and pool. Fun Tiki Bar and a combination of renters and owners added to the experience. Will repeat!

I have been to Gentle Winds property four times now. I usually like to jump around to see which property felt best. I have stopped looking as I am only going to stay right here…although it may be a little more expensive … it’s all worth it… for a good reason everything is renovated everything is laid out wonderfully and I felt more at home in this property than the other property.
Miss Yvonne contacted me a days before with the instructions instructions are playing and simple and easy upon entrance there’s a beautiful a binder book with all of the information you need for the house and your surroundings and what’s around - I thought was really nice and my goodness the pictures don’t do justice.
If you’re looking for a piece of paradise away from home where you feel at home, you need to book here but please don’t book on the days that I’m coming back!

This condo rental is ideal! The location is absolutely perfect, the condo is clean and set up with renters' needs in mind, and the community property is fantastic. The private beach and enormous pool were awesome and never crowded - many times we were the only ones there using them. The property manager Robin was wonderful to deal with and very quick to answer any questions we had. The only thing that would have been nice to know beforehand is that the water is not ok to drink. Having arrived late at night, it would have been nice to at least have a jug in the fridge to get us started until we could make it to a store the next day to get groceries. Other than that, we had absolutely no complaints and loved staying here! If we ever come back to St. Croix, we would definitely rent here again :)

Communication with Robin was easy. The only suggestion I have is to update the Welcome Book with recommended grocery stores. Some are more expensive then others on the island, if it wasn’t for the tv being replaced when we got there (new 65” :) then we wouldn’t have known which stores to avoid.
Stop thinking about it and go ahead and book, you won’t be sorry. We’re sure to return to Gentle Winds if we make it back to St. Croix.

Excellent condo
This place was excellent in all ways. The grounds were well maintained, fantastic location, modern furnishings of high quality, and a responsive property manager. We did have a problem with a stove malfunction and Robin had a service person to the condo the same day we reported it.
I will mention a few quibles, but they are just quibbles. This is a 5-star rental. There was no dining room table, just a elevated counter area with tall chairs. The height of the chairs may be an issue for shorter guests. Also, the master bed was also very high off the ground, also an issue for shorter guests. The TV service is 4:3 ratio non-HD delivery. Depending on the channel watched, one either loses the edges of the broadcast or the the wide format is scrunched into the 4:3 ratio. I did not think non-HD service even existed any more. This will not be an issue for those using a streaming service.

We had a great time at this beautiful condo. It was nicely decorated and recently had the kitchen renovated so everything was new. It was very clean and well equipped for all our needs. Great view from the balconies!

Pure Bliss!
The location of this unit was spectacular with gorgeous ocean views! Waking up to the waves and gentle breeze was refreshing! Watching the stars at night from the upper balcony was magical! The condo was beautifully updated and very clean. It had everything that we needed to have a fabulous vacation! Loved the sports bar for drinks and lunch! Robin did an excellent job communicating with us to make sure all of our needs were met! The location was perfect and made navigation from there easy! We definitely want to rent this unit again! And we have recommended it to family/friends! Our daughter & son-in-law live there so we will hopefully be back soon!

I highly recommend this location. The property manager was friendly and continued to check up on us to make sure everything was great and gave plenty of suggestions to keep our week fulfilled with great places to see, good restaurants, and where to do your shopping for the week. This property is like a resort with a beautiful beach, pool, and bonus beach bar with the best pain killers on the island. It conveniently 20 minutes from everything so that makes it so easy to plan trips. The property is perfectly stocked with anything you need from kitchen items to roku & games, WiFi, snorkeling gear, beach towels & bags and numerous outlets for all your charging needs. I do recommend securing a rental car.

The property manager, Robin was very communicative and anxious to help us get into and settled into the unit. The wifi worked well. The rooms were comfortable. The bathrooms are updated which was nice. The only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is because one of the downstairs bathrooms shower drain did not drain and the master bed was not the most comfortable (this might not be the case for you depending on how you like your mattress.) We enjoyed having the kitchen, the plenty of room, the a/c worked well, using the beach cooler for our drinks and snacks at the beach, the beautiful, unobstructed views of the sunsets, having the washer and dryer to use, lots of beach towels to use, and the great location of this unit. It was a very quiet and relaxing place to stay. We always had a parking spot right in front of our unit which was nice. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and we would stay there again.

Absolutely LOVED our Stay!
I didn't realize how spacious the home is! There were 4 adults, and having a 3 bed/3 bath home was perfect! We were able to push the two smaller beds together and have 3 separate spaces to escape to if needed. The upstairs room is basically it's own little apartment, with two huge balconies, a wonderful/huge waterfall shower and comfy bed.
This is one of the properties that you are truly waterfront. Just a few steps from the pool and beach front, where there is also the opportunity to do a little snorkeling. We enjoyed chatting with other folks in the complex, having the small bar open, and just all in all a really terrific place to land for a vacation.
The location is also wonderful in visiting Frederiksted, or driving around and seeing the rest of the island. Close to grocery, local restaurants, etc. ***Be sure to check local restaurants for the need for reservations. We found a number of times we couldn't get in for dinner without them, or due to closing early.
All in all, I highly recommend. Robin, the property manager, is responsive, knowledgeable and super sweet! We even had a "pre travel" call to walk through all the things.
