My son in law stayed in the cabin the night before the wedding. He loved the peace and quiet. Just what he needed

This is the 3rd time we stayed at the Ice Cottage. We loved the property and lake. Great Long weekend.

Everyone was so helpful and the view was unbelievable. Having access to swimming or kayaking was wonderful! We can’t wait to go back and stay again!

This was our second year staying at the ice house. The property is comfortable, cozy, and private, just what we were looking for. The private dock and beautiful views of the lake are very peaceful. The farm is across the street for a lovely stroll and the farm stand is open wednesdays and saturdays for produce and baked goods --yummy! Kayaks and a canoe are available for enjoying the lake. It is a lovely little rustic cabin, so expect some insect friends, which did not bother us at all. Definitely a good place to stay to interact with nature, which my family loved. The ice house is equipped with everything we needed for a low-key vacation.

A cozy cabin feel, able to jump in the water right outside the front door. Check-in process was extremely easy, very communicative, check out was super easy.
My only suggestion would be that the cabin needs a good vacuum/dusting. Lost of cobwebs, dust bunnies.
Overall great, relaxing stay!

We used this cabin, as well as the other two locations on property during our wedding weekend, and it was the perfect hideaway as the bride and groom to escape to and relax. We had access to kayaks and paddle boards, the lake was beautiful. Our ceremony was held just outside in front of lovely Pattagansett Lake. It is a small, rustic cabin. We hope to return again in the future to celebrate anniversaries. Thanks again!

The “icehouse” at White Gate Farm was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway in CT. Right on the lake with incredible views, a fire pit, and two-story windows in the cabin. This spot was close to everything but quiet and secluded also. The cabin was cozy and quiet with the opportunity to sit fire-side just feet from the water. I spent hours outside by the fire and caught the sunrise on one side of the cabin and the sunset on the other. White Gate Farm across the street is also a beautiful location to check out and if you are lucky enough to be there on Saturday when their farm stand is open, the fresh veggies and pastries are top-notch! I had the berry scone and a morning glory muffin – an ideal fall breakfast! It was super easy for me to get to the Coast and a couple concerts at Mohegan Sun. Pauline and Kevin were great to work with and made me feel very much at home!

A very special place. The lake was lovely, Kevin was awesome, and we enjoyed Fall Fest on Sunday, where we ate pizza, listened to live music, and just enjoyed the great weather on the farm. A perfect place if you're looking for a short escape from all the business of life!

It’s amazing. I still wish I could be sitting at that huge window looking out at the rain on the lake. It’s such a charming little spot literally right on the water. We loved waking up in the morning and walking out on to the end of a dock for a little moment of meditation. We got married on property and this was our “honeymoon suite”. Zero regrets! The staff on the farm are absolutely amazing and really complete the experience!

Cant say enough great things about White Gate Farm and the staff there. Beautiful stay. We had a luncheon at the cabin and it exceeded my expectations. Will be back.

Our family gathered at White Gate for a reunion. It was the perfect choice. We were in both the cabin and the inn. Those in the cabin loved the view, the fishing dock, the water toys and the privacy. It slept 3 and was a treat to relax and play right at the beautiful lake, which was great for fishermen, swimmers, paddle boarders and to just hang out. It is a very special cabin.

Everything was great but, there were a couple of hiccups.
We had to deal with too many hornets inside the cabin. I killed 37 in one day.
Just a note to the owner, the front door saddle needs to be replaced. It was quite loose, we just avoided stepping on it but, it could be a problem if not addressed.

Rustic cabin *right* on the lake. Walk out and be swimming in 5 seconds. Husband, dog, and I had very relaxing stay. Cooked in the cabin, swam in the lake, used paddle board provided. Just lovely. Beautiful location.

We came with our dog for a few days and couldn’t have had a more relaxing time! The lake was quiet & a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing stay. Close to town for groceries and supplies, but still very private. Great place to disconnect for a while!

This cabin is a little gem. We stayed for the 4th of July holiday, in need of a quiet place the stay. We were greeted by Kevin and shown around the place. The cabin is cozy and clean. While it is a bit rustic (which we loved), it has all of the comforts of home. The lake is so peaceful. We loved sitting out on the dock and interacting with the fish, birds, and dragonflies. There were lovely waterlilies and other flowers in bloom. We swam and kayaked in the lake and made friends with a little school of fish. My teenage son had such a good time. Definitely visit the farm across the road during your stay. Their pastries, cheeses, and produce are amazing. Sadly, we missed the pizzas! We walked the farm and met the lambs. Pauline, the property owner, invited us back to help herd the sheep to their barn. That was so much fun. Needless to say that we loved our stay and were a little sad to go. Definitely hoping we can go back next year.

We needed a place to decompress after our son's wedding, and this was perfect. Yes, it's "rustic", but it has everything we needed. The end of the dock became Our Spot, both for morning coffee and evening talks. We watched the rowing crew camps practicing every morning (so interesting). The whole spot is SO private.
(We still want to know more about the ice house renovation history).
We were able to tour the whole farm (chickens, lambs, etc). Recommend this spot, wholeheartedly.

A beautiful and lovely stay, right on the lake! The ice house is secluded so you feel like it's just you. But you can walk up to the farm stand for breakfast and stroll the idyllic grounds. If you're there for a farm fest night- lucky you! A lovely weekend getaway!

this has been our 2nd visit to this property. We spent the long Memorial weekend at the lake. the Weather was a bit chilly and we could not swim at the lake (we actually swam at this lake last year during one May weekend) but we absolutely enjoyed kayaking, birdwatching, walking around the magnificent and well managed farm. the view on the lake (either from in or outside the house) is just stunning and you can not move your eyes away. We love visiting Mystic Museum each year and I am sure we will be back again next year. Kevin (property manager) is excellent.

This cabin was just what we needed! What a beautiful spot to spend the holidays...out of a picture postcard! Lovely cabin with all that you need, on a gorgeous, crystal clear lake...Pauline was very responsive to any questions we had. We miss it very much and wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you, Pauline!

My husband and I booked the Cabin at WGF for our wedding weekend in September 2022 and could not have asked for a better experience. The Inn Manager, Kevin, made check-in, check-out, and our overall stay a truly seamless, comfortable, and charming experience. For what tends to be a very chaotic weekend, with hosting family and friends, various timelines coming together, and the overall nerves/excitement that a wedding can bring, we felt incredibly supported by Kevin who offered immediate answers to our questions, flexibility to support our unique needs, and genuine kindness to make our stay in our "newlywed suite" truly magical. Thank you so much, Kevin and all the WGF staff who made our wedding weekend one that we will never forget!

The host Kevin is terrific. The cabin is a gem. The property is lovely and location terrific — very private and quiet but close to any amenities you need. The weather was rainy for my weekend but it’s a terrific place to enjoy a rain storm. I plan to be back. It’s would be a nice place to stay under any weather conditions.

The views and private beach/ dock are amazing, we had great weather and spent all of our time outside - our dog swam non-stop! Pauline was so nice and checked us in. The cabin is rustic but with a beautiful large window/ view of the lake. The bed is a little stiff but otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

This spot is incredibly lovely. The lake was nice and warm in September and we had nice swims, kayaks and paddleboard excursions. Across the street at the farm we visited the farm stand, took a critter tour to help collect eggs, fed the sheep and poultry and learned about life on this idyllic organic farm. There was lots of time for reading, laying out in the sun on the dock, playing cards and listening to music too - all the ingredients for a restful getaway. Was nice to have a rejuvenating little husband and wife midweek stay now that the kids are back in their school routines. Plenty of interesting places nearby to visit but we decided to scrap the plans to visit those locations and just enjoy the beauty and quiet of early fall days on Lake Patagansett. A+

My wife, two daughters (13 & 10), and our beagle spent a long weekend here. The spot was relaxing, and the people were great. We had a nice boating tutorial with Kevin our first night then used the kayaks non-stop all weekend. The farm was also nice, we stocked up at the Farm Stand then had some tasty snacks at Farm Fest. We had a little rain which was a bummer, but it was still very peaceful watching through the huge window!
