Ein kleines, familiäres Hotel! Sehr bequeme Betten! Sehr freundliches Personal! Gutes Frühstück!
Würde ich wieder buchen!
10.0 / 10.0

It is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful area Edam. The public transport was literally in front of the hotel and in 25 minutes you are in central station of Amsterdam. Edam itself is a quiet pictureque area and i would return there every time. Loved it and the host, she was so nice :)

Location was ok albeit noisy with the road and a bar nearby
Breakfast ok-ish but definitely not great
The room was filthy - disgusting floors and there were mushrooms and accumulated moisture behind the bathroom sink
This is revolting for everyone, but especially when travelling with a kid
You cannot close the blinds properly so there is always some light coming into the room
Pillows are way too thick and uncomfortable
4.0 / 10.0
No buffet breakfast, and the two ultra thin slices of Edam cheese appear minimalistic at first, but all in all more than enough to carry you trough the day.
Stairs to up and downstairs rooms pretty risky. Rooms downstairs with little light and feels like a cellar. Also, rotten smell from bathroom couldn't be solved over my 5 days stay. Coffee/tea and soaps often not refilled. Room cleaning pretty superficial. Key code locks with tiny numbers can hardly be seen in the dark corridors and booking and code system pretty awkward.
The 35min. travel to Amsterdam with bus 🚍 next door comes pricey at €12.5 return. Another €3.6 per 1hr trip or €9.6 day card in Amsterdam adds to the pretty high price of the hotel.

The location is great, the Bus to Amsterdam (25 minute ride)
is only a minutes walk away. Edam is a cute town with a few nice restaurants and bars along the picturesque canals. The room was a good size and comfortable, with a seating area and desk. Breakfast was nice and the staff very friendly. Free parking is a 3 minute walk away, and E-Chargers are close to the hotel. Definitely would recommend, especially with the crazy hotel and parking prices in Amsterdam.
No complaints

All worked well on arrival.

It was a perfect accommodation and exceeded our expectations. We traveled with a toddler and it was very comfortable. The staff was very welcoming.
The only downside is the unavailability of the elevator. But I would certainly visit again :)

Modern looking rooms. Nice breakfastroom and very decent breakfast. Near to centre. Staff was helpful and acted friendly and quickly when the room I booked turned out not to cleaned.
The room I booked wasn’t cleaned: filthy towels, slept bed full of crumbs, full bin etc. The staff booked us another room immediately, which had been cleaned though wasn’t as clean as I expect for a hotelroom (filth on toilet and moldy sheets).

Breakfast is nice and really friendly staff. Check in and check out is really smooth.
The kitchenette (stove and sink) doesnt function which is a shame. We expect it to be working because it is stated in the description.

Although the hotel doesn't have its own parking. There are parking spots very nearby. The breakfast was real nice and extended. It was a real good selection of fresh fruit, bread and croissants. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bed was great. The heating was also very well configured, so the temperature was real comfortable. I like the concept of entering the hotel and room with a pincode, with no fuss of checking in and out. But the staff that was there (for breakfast) was very friendly. So in all, we had a lovely stay.
The mini fridge didn't cool as much as we would have liked it to.

The building is very cute on the outside.
Our room was located in the basement with 5% daylight, although nowhere in room description it was mentioned. Some of the towels were dirty and there were odd brown marks on the wall next to the bed. It's a self-check-in hotel and we arrived quite late, so all these 'wonderful' discoveries were made in the next morning.
We came to breakfast at 10:02 (breakfast is until 10 am), and were aggressively told off by the lady, regardless of the fact that nothing in that breakfast was cooked and there were plenty of people in the cafe. She served us a bread basket, cold meat platter and a cold boiled egg.
Also, there was no elevator and the stairs are quite steep.

perfect location and beautiful place - free bicycle available
there is gap between the standing of the hotel and the quality of the service offered:
1/ no free voiturier (there is no parking- you have to find a carpark by yourself or pay 35€ to use the « voiturier service » from the hotel) - we parked in Boterdiep (near the student hotel) it’s 6 mn walk from the hotel and only 13€ for 24h.
2/ the staff doesn’t help you to carry your luggage 🤷🏼♀️
3/ our room was very nice but had a narrow staircase to go the bathroom. Wouldn’t recommend it for an overweighted or old person.

The super friendly service at breakfast
lovely quiet & clean room
It was a little strange that there was no reception
desk in case anything ran out in the room.
Also, a bar of soap would be useful for washing
hands as the shower gel is a bit awkward.
